2023.06.10 21:55 TraumaShmauma Long post- seeking advice with smear campaign and false accusations of abuse
TLDR: I’ve finally had enough of the cheating, lies, manipulation, and abuse and I’m ready to leave for good but my life is in shambles and I’m afraid of him. Seeking advice on how to navigate and recover from this terrible situation I’ve put myself in.
I’ll try to be as brief as I can. It’s a lot…
I was with my child’s daddy for my whole adult life. 14 years. He’s all I ever knew and for the most part, our relationship was great. There was no cheating or abuse. He was a good dad and my best friend. The last couple years were a nonstop barrage of curveballs and hardships that took a big toll on both of us and our relationship. He made some big mistakes that hurt us a lot and I eventually decided we needed to separate.
When I left, he turned into a man I didn’t recognize. It was and still is traumatizing. I thought we’d be best friends, or at least good coparents. I expected him to be angry and fight me initially but I had no idea he was capable of what he’s done. He hates me. False accusations of domestic abuse and infidelity, accusations of mental illness and unfit parenting. Vicious smear campaign and endless frivolous litigation from his team of very expensive men’s rights lawyers trying to take our child from me.
It was the worst thing that had ever happened and I didn’t understand. I was a stay at home mom and we weren’t married so when I left, we agreed to “nest” in our home while it sold, taking turns staying with our daughter to ease her into the transition. But when I left the first night, he changed the locks on our home, filed a police report of lies and a protective order not allowing me near our home or daughter, and hired a lawyer to petition for full custody. He cleared out my bank account. I was penniless with nothing but an overnight bag and my car. Nothing ever stuck because it was always based on lies. He would drop the accusations before we ever saw a judge. But then would start the whole thing over again.
One after another, I was able to prove my innocence against his lies. Even has a full psych eval with third party input that took a week with one of the top doctors in the state to put to rest his claims of being delusional and mentally unstable. The doctor said that I was depressed and had ptsd from what he’d done but that I was otherwise mentally sound. He also noted that in all of his career, he’d never had someone try so hard to manipulate him into a diagnosis and that my ex’s reaction when he caught him in a lie was troubling. He recommended he have a psych eval as well but I didn’t have the 7k to pay for it and I just kept hoping that he would tucker himself out and stop wanting to hurt me. It wasn’t like him and I attributed everything to him feeling helpless and afraid himself, and betrayed and broken hearted that I left. He really is a good man. I hoped if I stayed the course and didn’t fight back other than defending myself, he would want to move forward and focus on rebuilding his life and giving our sweet baby the best childhood possible. I only ever asked for 50/50 and no child support, despite being her primary caretaker while he worked (at his request) for her entire life until then. I wanted nothing but to be left alone.
It was only a little over a year in and I certainly was not ready or healed enough to be dating. But things were getting better. He’d run out of things to accuse me of. I got a job and a cute apartment for my girl and me and it was finally steady. I thought I’d dip my toe back in and try casually dating. I shouldn’t have. I was lonely and still struggled on the days I didn’t have my daughter.
It didn’t take long before I met him. Oh my gosh. An angel. It was whirlwind. I’d never met anyone like him and I didn’t know love could be so good. The most charming, romantic, handsome, perfect man in the world. And he wanted me!?! It was crazy. I was smitten. It was passionate and intimate and exciting every single day. He’d hand write me the most beautiful love letters. My apartment looked like someone died with the amount of flowers he sent. He was always planning amazing adventures for us and doting on me. It made it all make sense. It was all worth it because it lead me to him.
I’m an idiot… And introduced him to my daughter four months in. I’d never been so sure about anything. I mean, we’d already mapped out our future together. This was for keeps. Might as well lean in! And my god, they hit it off instantly. She adored him. She lit up when he came around. He’d bring a bouquet of flowers for each of us. They’d text each other memes and jokes. Ugh my heart. My girl doesn’t like men.. She’s sassy and the way she latched onto him was proof that this was all meant to be.
He has a daughter about the same age! They loved each other, too. My girl always wanted a sibling and it couldn’t be more perfect. My life was perfect. He was the sweetest daddy. He always planned an adventure the weekends we had our girls. He was so thankful I let him be a part of our lives and told me he took it very seriously. He would be a man she could look up to. He would show her stoicism and strength and restore what she had lost from the trauma of what her father did.
He said he was going to marry me. He’d text me house listings and tell me stories of how we’d spend our evenings reading to each other on the porch and watching our babies play.
It was only 6 months in that something changed. He would snap at me for things I didn’t understand. He would get wasted and yell at me for not really loving him. Accuse me of cheating or using him or wanting to make him my “little b**** boy.” It was horrible. I would pour myself into trying to explain away whatever he was on about but it never worked. Always ended in me fleeing and him blocking me for a day or two. Then he would come back full of remorse and regret and say he realized he was looking at it all wrong. He just loved me so much. He would be so sweet again.
I didn’t understand. I’d never experienced anything like this. The highs or the lows. And I loved him so much. I loved the future we were building.
Not long after, during one of his rages, he told me he’d been cheating on me. Not to confess, but to hurt me. He hates when I cry and it makes him so cruel. I was crying about him being mean and mad at me for some drunken thing he made up and he let me have it. Said the meanest things. Ripped me to pieces. And then told me he was sleeping with a beautiful young nurse who was much more fun than me.
I could go on and on. But the gist is that I kept taking him back. And it kept getting worse. Before long, I was completely isolated from my friends and spend every second I had trying to make him happy and get back to the yum we had before.
He’s now admitted to having 6 physical affairs and doesn’t know how many women he “talked to.” I know of at least 3 others that he slept with.
Each time I would find out, he would rage at me and then block me and go be with other women for a few days. Which was bad enough but then I found out about the smear campaign. He’d been spreading vicious lies about me. And most of them mirrored the same accusations my child’s father said. That was intentional. He told everyone in his life that I was mentally ill, abusive, violent, controlling. That I stalked him and hit him. He told people I tried to stab him one night.
I found this out because he called my child father and told him all of these things. He claims he was drunk and doesn’t remember it, which could actually be true but I don’t know. My kids dad recorded the phone call and used it to file a motion to take her from me.
He kept promising he would come clean and fix everything he did. Kept saying he needed a couple days to figure out how and to make sure he did me justice. But it kept not happening. It’s been a year now and every time I break down and demand he finally clears my name, he managed to twist the whole conversation into me just wanting revenge for the past and I’m a vengeful abuser that doesn’t love him. And then leaves and blocks me again.
A few months ago, after yet another breakup, I was done. I left for good. But I’m still an idiot and when he came back, he said he had an epiphany and he couldn’t stand the shame and pain of suddenly realizing what he’d done to me. He was ready to be honest and do whatever he could to fix what he broke.
We sat down and he admitted in detail to all the women he physically cheated with. Admitted the lies he told about me. Explained his reasons for everything, which were basically that he’s a scared little boy that doesn’t think I could ever love him and he needed the comfort and validation of others and couldn’t see what it did to me. Partially compartmentalization and partially thinking I wouldn’t care anyway because I didn’t actually care about him and was probably doing all the same things behind his back.
It was an exhausting and emotionally taxing conversation but it was so good to me. He cried with remorse and held me and validated all the things he’s worked so hard to make me feel bad for. I believed him. I had hope again but I was too mentally drained to continue and he was too so we decided to “love bubble” for a couple days and then sit down and actually take steps to fix what he did to me.
When it came, he went right back to the same narrative and behavior as before. That I wanted to punish him and rub his nose in his mistakes and ruin his life. I was livid. I left and took his iPad. Found out he was still cheating with multiple women, that the “truth” he told me was bull, that he was still smearing me and nobody even knew we were seeing each other. And that one of the affairs was with a 19 year old girl he met on a hunting trip while he was still married. He wrote her love letters and poems all day and then snuck her off and got her drunk and slept with her in the backseat of his truck. He hasn’t seen her since but they send nudes and declare each other their soulmates and talk about how they’ll end up together someday. We’re in the process of planning a trip together in the next month.
Gross.
She was 19 years old and he was 41 and married with a child when he went after her. And they’ve continued on for 3 years. One of the love letters he sent her was mine. I wrote it to him. He stole my words and used them to seduce this girl. I found out recently he used that same letter on several of the women he cheated with. It makes me sick.
I think I stayed so long because I felt so helpless in my life. I just wanted to give my daughter a happy family and be a normal person. And I thought I’d found that so when everything was proving otherwise, I was too scared and weak to admit it. I gaslit myself because I was scared what it meant for me to have to go against two men that want to hurt me. I am still too scared.
I still don’t understand. I’m not perfect but I’m good to the men I love. I spoil them. I fulfill all of their fantasies. I’m patient and generous and give endless grace and always look for the good under a mistake. I’m the best hype girl. I love nothing more than lifting up the people I love and showing them how powerful and worthy they are. I hate letting people down.
I have only ever once turned down sex with him. and it was after he’d just yelled at me and made me cry because I found out he rawdogged a tinder woman in our bed and let me sleep in the dirty sheets. He got so angry and accused me of thinking he’s a predator and he ripped the sheets off the bed and threw them at me so hard that when I blocked it, it made my hand hit me in the face and gave me a black eye. Then he chased me out of the house while I was scurrying to get dressed, telling me to Jill myself and nobody would ever love me, and punched the door next to my face as I was trying to open it to leave. Then he called the cops and filed a report saying I hit him. I guess he’s done that several times after I left.
Anyway… sheesh. I’m scatterbrained. So after he’d taken back his promise to clear my name, I told him I would have to do it myself. I started recording his rages after I found out he was telling people I abused him. I also recorded the conversations of him admitting he was lying about me. Also many of the conversations about the women were via text. Including the ones about the teenager, his friend/coworker’s wife, a married woman that worked for him who had a mental breakdown from the affair, etc, etc, etc.
I said that he had the opportunity to clear my name however he wanted to without exposing himself. That I didn’t want to harm his life, just fix mine. He could create a whole new narrative of lies for all I cared as long as it cleared me from the vile things he made up about me.
He broke his hand in the wall next to my head by punching it so hard. I left. He called the police and filed a report that I broke in and hit him. And then hired a lawyer and filed a PO on the basis of domestic violence, stalking, and blackmail. All the while trying to bait me into coming over saying he loved me and wanted to fix it so he could have me arrested.
I didn’t even hire a lawyer because it seemed so absurd and I had so much proof he was lying. If recorded it. I had screenshots of him denying it and telling me to come see him and he wanted to marry me. Also because I was poor. He has gotten me fired from my job a couple weeks prior.
His lawyer was good. She shot down my evidence in the heating and used the police reports as proof… which seems like a weird thing to do because they were his testimony. But the judge said she almost never denies a PO because at the very least, those people should stay away from each other. It was granted based on stalking because I’d made a Google drive file of some recordings and screenshots and sent them to several family members and friends begging them to help me. They ignored me. He told them I was insane and not to open it.
My child’s father used that to take her away again.
I’ve been fighting tooth and nail but I’m drowning. Nobody cares. I’m so worn down and have panic attacks almost every day.
Unsurprisingly, he came back recently. So sorry and full of remorse and shame. She’s it all so much clearer now and can’t live with himself for what he did. Can’t live without me. Tugs my heartstrings talking about reading on the porch of our beautiful family home and reminiscing about the good loving times.
Means promises. Same lies. The thing is, I do believe he means it. I think he means it every time. It’s just that the shame and fear of actually following through and publicly facing what he did makes him retreat and go back to the delusional narrative that I abused him and he didn’t do any of the things he did.
I believe he really means it but I no longer believe he’s capable or will mean it in the times he should. He will not change. He wants to be a good man. Something is broken in him. He stopped drinking bourbon but still drinks beer every night. He abuses steroids and vyvanse and they make him irritable and angry and unpredictable. He has so much self loathing and shame. He hates himself. He’s built like a Greek god, the most gorgeous man I’ve ever seen, but he has body dysmorphia and starves himself and binges and runs several miles every single day and also goes to the gym for two hours. He has to smoke those super strong joints dipped in something and take half a bottle of zzzquil to sleep at night. On top of the 10+ beers, steroids, and vyvanse. He never remembers anything and I think he really thinks I’m making a lot of it up but refuses to listen to the recordings.
This time, even though I didn’t believe him, I was so broken and felt so helpless that I let him come back hoping he would at least drop the PO and help me get my daughter home.
He finally dropped the PO after weeks of being sketchy about it. I think he wanted to use it as leverage to protect himself in case I exposed him. I’d go to jail.
But once again, I told him either he needs to clear my name or I would and he’s latched on tot he same old victim narrative that I’m trying to get revenge and destroy him for the past. Has blocked me again. I have a feeling he’s out filing police reports and trying to get another PO. But it won’t work this time because I refused to be physically near him and haven’t told anyone anything yet.
I have to defend myself from his lies to get my daughter back. He’s not going to come clean. But after seeing how rotten the court system is, I am terrified he’s going to either find a way to put me in prison with his lies or kill me if he feels trapped. I really believe if he felt it was hopeless and he was exposed, he would him me and himself.
This was so long. I’m sorry. I’m wordy. It’s a lot. But if anyone read this and can give me some advice, I would be so thankful. I can’t see straight and have no idea what I’m doing. I haven’t left my house in days because I panic and get dizzy trying to go outside. I need help. And I need to never date ever again if I manage to climb out of this mess. I’m not good at it.

Did he take the bus? Did he walk back home? Where did he live? Any camera footage of the POI walking or in 7-11?

2023.06.10 19:51 barelyhere193 Folklore Love Triangle Alternate Analysis!!!
Something has been bugging me about the resolution to the folklore love triangle.
We know that Augustine doesn't end up with James, but that Taylor does think she
deserves to find love in the end. What if
she does?
We also don't know who Dorothea's narratolover is, and it seems
strange to me that Taylor would leave this character completely unnamed, a complete mystery.
But who is the
only other character implied to have a happy ending but who's future is left mysteriously open-ended? Augustine.
(Disclaimer, I'm aware that
evermore is a collection of stories independent from
folklore. However, since Taylor has confirmed Dorothea and Augustine
attend the same school, I'm assuming they must have known each other somehow. I'll also be explaining how Dorothea's songs from
evermore and the love triangle songs from
folklore are
intertwined.)
Buckle up because this is a long one.
But it is color coded! And gay! So there's that.
Here's the evidence I've compiled for each song:
Dorothea
Damn, Dorothea They all wanna be ya But are you still the same soul I met under the bleachers?
We know that this song is about a
high school relationship (and likely ongoing after graduation), meaning it's fully possible for it to be from Augustine's perspective, as her fling with James only lasted for one summer.
Skipping the prom Just to piss off your mom And her pageant schemes
This line implies some sort of disapproval from Dorothea's mom of their relationship, as well as the fact that they
couldn't or didn't want to go to prom together. These lines along with the meeting "
under the bleachers" adds to the
forbidden romance themes that definitely have
queer undertones to me. This is also one of the only described relationships that walks the line
between romance and friendship, adding to the queercoding.
The 1
Roaring 20s, tossing pennies in the pool And if my wishes came true It would've been you
I feel that the general consensus is that this song is about James. However, couldn't be about Betty and James, since Taylor has explained that they do stay together.
What's more, the
"roaring 20's" seems incredibly inconsistent with this theory. It could mean time period, but the phrase refers to the 1920s, which doesn't make sense considering lyrics like "
meet some woman on the internet."
If it refers to age, it has to be about Dorothea
and Augustine, since James and Augustine got together and broke up as teenagers.
Since the tone perfectly matches the mournful longing tone of the previously mentioned song,
dorothea;
the 1 could be a role reversal. A perspective switch of a jaded Dorothea singing about Augustine after having to leave. Here are some
lyrical parallels that drive me insane:
The 1:
I guess you never know, you never know Dorothea:
Oh, I guess I'll never know The 1:
I have this dream you're doing cool shit Having adventures on your own
Dorothea:
You got shiny friends since you left town A tiny screen's the only place I see you now
'Tis the Damn Season
We could call it even You could call me babe for the weekend
There's so much gay in this song I'm not even sure where to start.
First off, he idea of
calling their friend "babe" for the weekend has
undeniably sapphic undertones to me. I mean, think about it. Straight crushes doing something like that would be seen as undeniably romantic, with none of the ambiguity and tension from the first Dorothea song.
Girl friends calling each other by pet names is something that has probably been the
bane of every sapphic's existence at some point. Myself included, obviously.
'Tis the damn season Write this down I'm stayin' at my parents' house
Something about taking very traditional values like the holidays, and cursing them, keeps so well with the theme of small town gays.
As for the following two lines, I don't see these being relevant to the song if not as a
warning. We've already unpacked how it's very likely Dorothea's parents don't approve of her close relationship with Augustine. Later in the song, these lines add to that theme:
The holidays linger like bad perfume You can run, but only so far I escaped it too, remember how you watched me leave
Back to the chrous, this interpretation is only exacerbated with the next line:
And the road not taken looks real good now
This is line of the
biggest clues to me, and for a couple of reasons. I think it's fairly apparent that the road not taken is an analogy used to describe
unconventionality, and it is very often used to
reference queerness in that sense. This coincides perfectly with Augustine and Dorothea's secret relationship and how others disapprove.
But this line also serves as more evidence that Augustine and Dorotheas songs are
intrinsically linked. This song is very clearly sung from Dorothea's perspective. And in a song very clearly sung from Augustine's perspective, this line shows up.
Illicit Affairs:
Take the road less traveled by To me, this shows the contrast between Augustine leaving her relationship with James to entering (and re-entering) her relationship with Dorothea. James casts Augustine off to take the road by herself, to hide from society's disapproving glare.
But Dorothea
chooses takes that road with Augustine**.** Their relationship has Augustine
hiding her love once again, but this time she's
not alone.
There's an ache in you put there by the ache in me
The
central theme in their relationship I've just explained is also very present in this line, as it is in the following song.
Exile
You're not my homeland anymore So what am I defending now? You were my town Now I'm in exile, seein' you out
This song is about Dorothea and Augustine's relationship coming to an end when Dorothea
has to leave their town to pursue her dreams. While this song is sung from the
perspective of two characters, assumedly representing Dorothea and Augustine, I'll focus mainly on one. From Augustine's perspective, we see her suffer through the
same heartbreak that she did when her secret relationship with James came to an end, hence the lines:
I think I've seen this film before And I didn't like the ending
This song proves to me that Dorothea and the
folklore love triangle
must be connected, there's no denying that the
lyrical parallels between Dorothea's songs and
exile are unmistakable.
Exile:
To pack us up and leave me with it 'Tis the Damn Season:
To leave the warmest bed I've ever known Exile:
You're not my homeland anymore /
You were my town 'Tis the Damn Season:
It always leads to you in my hometown Exile:
Like he's just your understudy Dorothea:
And you'll go on with the show Exile:
Second, third, and hundredth chances Dorothea:
It's never too late to come back to my side Exile:
Those eyes add insult to injury Dorothea:
The stars in your eyes shined brighter in Tupelo Exile:
You didn't even hear me out 'Tis the Damn Season:
Now I'm missing your smile, hear me out Since
dorothea and
'tis the damn season take place after
exile, this song is here to establish
the cracks that broke down their relationship in the past and how they are
mended in later songs.
Gold Rush
What must it be like to grow up that beautiful? With your hair falling into place like dominoes My mind turns your life into folklore I can't dare to dream about you anymore
I'll say it, this might be the
most queercoded song on the album. The theme of
envious attraction, being unable to tell
if you want someone or want to be them, and having to
hide from your feelings all the while because you know you can
never truly have a future with them... I cannot be the only one who sees it.
To me, this is about when Augustine
first starts developing feelings for Dorothea. I've seen people argue that if this is connected to the folklore love triangle, that it must be Augustine singing about James. However, the
only connection the
evermore songs have to
folklore Taylor has specified is the
character of Dorothea, so it doesn't make sense for there to be an
evermore track about two characters from
folklore.
I don't like anticipating my face in a red flush I don't like that anyone would die to feel your touch Everybody wants you Everybody wonders what it would be like to love you
The love interest being this attractive character that
everyone is drawn to makes perfect sense for Dorothea, as we know she eventually moves to Los Angeles and
becomes a star.
Not only must this song be about Dorothea, but being the only song that
directly references folklore heavily implies that is must be connected to one of its characters in some way, namely Augustine.
I see me padding 'cross your wooden floors With my Eagles t-shirt hanging from the door At dinner parties I call you out on your contrarian shit And the coastal town we wandered 'round had never seen a love as pure as it And then it fades into the gray of my day old tea 'Cause you know it could never be
The most curious part of the song is that when the narrator finally
allows herself to imagine a future with the person she loves, she quickly remind herself that "
it could never be," and that the object of her affections knows this as well.
All that the narrator, Augustine, wants is to have a
comfortable and happy future with Dorothea, but she
cannot bring herself to imagine the two of them
ever finding this coastal town that sees their love as "
pure." This hopeless and resigned tone about her assumedly unrequited love and unattainable dreams is exacerbated in the final chorus when the lyrics change to "
the coastal town we never found will never see a love as pure as it."
Also, I feel the need to point out a few
lyrical parallels because you know me:
Gold Rush: Walk past, quick brush
'Tis the Damn Season:
It's the kind of cold, fogs up windshield glass But I felt it when I passed you
Gold Rush:
My mind turns your life into folklore I can't dare to dream about you anymore
Dorothea:
I have this dream you're doing cool shit Having adventures on your own
Gold Rush:
And the coastal town we wandered 'round 'Tis the Damn Season:
And it always leads to you in my hometown Invisible String
Green was the color of the grass Where I used to read at Centennial Park I used to think I would meet somebody there
Anddd we're at the final song! Fittingly, I believe this song is from the perspective of Dorothea after she and Augustine reunite, wrapping up their story with a
happy ending.
And in true full-circle Taylor Swift fashion,
their story ends the same way it starts, with
Centennial Park. If you don't recall,
dorothea starts with these lines:
Dorothea:
Hey Dorothea, do you ever stop and think about me? When we were younger,
down in the park And this isn't the only recall to Dorothea's
evermore songs. Almost every line in this song references a line in one of the previous songs that I've analyzed!
Teal was the color of your shirt When you were sixteen at the yogurt shop
Remember the "
eagles t-shirt" from
gold rush? Taylor confirmed this was a deliberate reference to the
Philadelphia eagles, who's team
color is teal. Again, this song could only be about
dorothea's narrator, Augustine, as
gold rush is from
evermore while
invisible string is from
folklore, and Dorothea is the sole connection between the two albums.
Gave me no compasses, gave me no signs Were there clues I didn't see?
This is a
direct parallel to
exile, where Dorothea laments over how Augustine "
never gave a warning sign." But now the tone has shifted, and she readily
admits that maybe she had missed the signs all along, and looks back on the nature of their relationship as fateful rather than chaotic.
All along there was some Invisible string Tying you to me
Sound familiar? Even though Dorothea has tried to leave in the past, time and time again,
it always leads back to Augustine
and their hometown.
On your first trip to LA You ate at my favorite spot for dinner
In the end, it seems like Dorothea does end up
leaving back to LA, like she says at the end of
'tis the damn season. But this line implies that the leaving wasn't necessarily marking a bad ending to their relationship. It implies that Augustine
comes with her, and they
finally get that coastal town they had always wanted but never thought they could have. Outside of the pressure of their small town, they can finally host their dinner parties and voice their contrarian bullshit.
Bold was the waitress on our three year trip Getting lunch down by the lakes She said I looked like an American singer
To me, this line
solidifies the idea that this
folklore song is about Dorothea.
No other character in either of the albums is implied to be
famous and have a performance career, which narrows the possibilities to just about one person. And this "
three year trip" makes perfect sense for Dorothea, who Augustine says never liked the stuffiness of their hometown.
Chains around my demons, wool to brave the seasons One single thread of gold tied me to you
"
Wool to brave the seasons" seems to me like a
reference to not only
'tis the damn season, but the album cover of
evermore as well.
The color of the
invisible string that ties the two together
being gold also seems to be a reference to
gold rush. The East Asian folk myth the song is based off of
describes a red string, not a gold one. So if the color were to be changed, it would
have to have been very deliberate. And this theory is only reinforced with the next line:
Gold was the color of the leaves When I showed you around Centennial Park Hell was the journey but it brought me heaven
Another reference to gold, and another reference to Centennial Park. The description
paints a picture of the so called gold rush that Augustine had been trying to avoid, being
finally embraced by the two of them.
The song offers one final parallel to close this analysis off:
'Tis the Damn Season:
But if it's okay with you, it's okay with me Invisible String:
And it's cool, baby, with me Thank you so much for sticking with me for this whole analysis! I would love to hear what theories or criticisms you guys have as well. I did make the songs out of chronological order for a smoother analysis, but if you're confused about the timeline, I did make a playlist I'll link in the comments of all the songs I find to be part of their story, including some that I have not analyzed here. It starts with James and Augustine's relationship in mirrorball, and continues from there in chronological order. submitted by

2023.06.10 19:33 zlaxy Exactly 50 years ago, the Soviet architect and restorer Ludwig Heinrich Mavrikievich died
| Exactly 50 years ago, the Soviet architect and restorer Ludwig Heinrich Mavrikievich died. In recent years his name has become popular in the West as “ one of the people caught up in Stalin’s purges, he was killed because of his knowledge about aliens; he was officially accused of being a spy for the Vatican, but in 2011, the Russian paper Top Secret claimed that his work at the Vatican was studying manuscripts that indicated ancient alien contact“. In this vein, his name became known thanks to a popular documentary TV series “Ancient Aliens“, on the History Channel, an episode of “Russia’s Secret Files“. The film claimed: “ The reason he was accused of being a spy for the Vatican is because in 1920s, as a young student of architecture, he visited the Vatican, where he was given access to the secret library. In that library, he found manuscripts that describe extraterrestrial civilizations and more. Dr. Genrikh Ludvig discovered a number of manuscripts suggesting that there had been historic extraterrestrial contact with ancient civilizations in Egypt, Israel, and Mesopotamia. These manuscripts that talked, for example, about the pyramids and described them as energy machines.” The film went on to make a bold attempt to identify Russian cosmism with Ancient astronauts. https://preview.redd.it/d2tdkulh785b1.jpg?width=880&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=627947f59ea2362f2a05b7cfc74584983e1ebb06 All such information about Heinrich Ludwig’s connection to Vatican archives and aliens is based on a single Russian-language source – the article “Professor Ludwig’s Worlds” in the Russian newspaper Sovershenno Sekretno (“Top Secret”), written by journalist Vladimir Kucharyants, who, as he himself claims, personally knew Ludwig when was a student at the Institute. The article explains the episode in which the Soviet architect was allowed access to the Vatican archives this way: “He, who was studying the Etruscans and deciphering their language, was extremely interested in the documents held in the Vatican library. In his ‘Herodotus journey’, Rome was one of the key points. At the Vatican he sought permission from the Cardinal, the keeper of the library. As one of his arguments, he cited a terrible Italian swearword that blasphemously commemorated Our Lady… The Cardinal, becoming enraged, wanted to throw him out, but when Ludwig began hastily revealing to him the etymology and esoteric meaning of these words (and it is very different, almost sacred in Etruscans), the Holy Father was so impressed by his knowledge that he not only allowed him into the vault, but also allowed him to photograph the necessary documents.” Apart from this anecdotal episode, the article also claims other contradictory biographical details, such as: “I was brutally beaten at interrogations, demanding confessions of fantastic absurdities: ‘While a member of the VKP(b), I was simultaneously a resident of American, German, Polish, Turkish and Vatican counterintelligence for 15 years, trading in the blood of workers and peasants in the USSR. Prepared the bombing of the Nikolaev grain elevator (I have never been to Nikolaev). Organised the largest assassination attempt in the form of explosion of all bread lines of the USSR. He was a chairman of fascist organisation in the Soviet Union…”. I must say a special word about one subtle trick in the methodology of the investigation. After another refusal by me to testify, the investigator opened the door to the corridor of the Lefortovo prison’s investigation rooms and nodded to someone. Nearby a woman was being brutally beaten. -Do you recognise it? – The investigator gloated. I grew wary, lost in anguished speculation. – You scoundrel, bastard, fascist! You don’t pity your own wife! And we’re only beating her because of you… I’ve never heard my wife scream like that before! When the woman fell unconscious, then /she/ let out a moan, I shouted: – Stop it! I’ll sign everything, just don’t hit my wife. At the dictation of the investigator I signed slanderous testimony against myself…”. Later he found out: it wasn’t his wife who was tortured. His wife, a Party worker, was still living happily in their big, cosy flat on Tverskaya street. She had written a denunciation about her husband.” In this case, according to Kucharyants, this is a fragment of the manuscript, which the professor’s widow herself provided to the journalist. Another source, A.V. Trubetskoy’s memoirs “Paths undiscovered“, mentions another episode relating to the architect Ludwig: “There was a rather famous architect, Heinrich Ludwig, an elderly, grey-haired man with bushy eyebrows (the kind of man who usually smokes a pipe when he is outside). I knew him well. Ludwig told me that he had entered a design competition for the Palace of the Soviets, and his design had been exhibited and published. In the camp Ludwig had a hernia operation and had his navel cut out. The operated one later joked that only Adam, as not being born by a woman, did not have a belly button.” Some more reliable sources report that before the crackdown, Ludwig held the following positions: “ head of the architectural workshops of the People’s Commissariat of Health (1934-1935) and the People’s Commissariat of Light Industry (1935-1937) of the USSR, professor at the MIIT, MISI, MVTU, the Military Engineering Academy, director of the MArhI (1936-1937), head of restoration work in the Kremlin, in the Ostankino and Arkhangelskoye estates, the Church of St Basil the Blessed, the Trinity-Sergius Lavra. He has carried out over 200 major projects.” He is considered to be one of the most active figures of the Russian architectural avant-garde. In the words of art historian Selim Omarovich Khan-Magomedov, he “synthesised an artist and an engineer”. It is said that he travelled to Turkey at the personal invitation of Ataturk, the founder of the Turkish nation, who decided to change the face of Ankara, and met with him repeatedly. Ludwig created the design for a Soviet embassy in Turkey, the year after the young Republic of Turkey was founded. He was also the author of competition designs for the monument to Christopher Columbus in Santo Domingo and the Palace of the Soviets in Moscow. https://preview.redd.it/sv1nmy0m785b1.png?width=1485&format=png&auto=webp&s=021ed41072eb149231ec2741c115f43ed0aa085a Artist Vyacheslav Lenkov made this statement in the newspaper Russky Vestnik about the unrealised project of the Palace of the Soviets: “When Stalin finally came to power before the war, he summoned a specialist and told him to scientifically substantiate that this enormous Palace on the site of the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour was technically impossible to build. It was Professor Ludwig Heinrich Mavrikievich. He was later reminded of this memo and exiled to Siberia for his German origin, and in the camp his bones were crushed – as if they had been made into a crucifix. Then he could hardly walk, but he came back and taught at our place.” Meanwhile, in the Volga Correctional Labour Camp, Ludwig worked as an architect in the technical department of the Volgostroy NKVD. Later, he was head of construction works, technologist at plant No.1 of the MGB in Yaroslavl; chief architect of the camp in the town of Spassk in the Karaganda region. It may be noted that he worked as an architect in Rybinsk, during the construction of the Rybinsk hydroelectric power station during the flooding of the ancient trade and religious centre, the town of Mologa. The following year after Stalin’s death Heinrich Ludwig was released from the camps (having been convicted under Article 58-6-1 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR, espionage) and rehabilitated a couple of years later. After the exile he taught, was a corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Construction and Architecture, was the editor of the journals “Architecture in the USSR” and “Architecture Abroad”, and was an honorary member of the Institute of Archaeology in Illinois (USA). It is difficult to determine what is reliable information among the many biographical fragments from the life of Heinrich Ludwig and what is not: whether he was a talented architect, innocently condemned by the Soviet system for espionage, or whether he was a “great architect” of Soviet and international secret societies, with a fabricated and mythologized biography, of the rank of Nikolai Alexandrovich Morozov (the forefather and architect of the New Chronology theory, the venerable master of the Zarya Peterburga Lodge). In any case, Ludwig was connected with space not only by hypothetical ancient aliens from “Sovershenno Sekretno” newspaper, but also by close cooperation with Alexander Chizhevsky, a representative of Russian cosmism, who during his lifetime was removed from several leading positions for falsification of scientific research results. It was Ludwig who wrote the first review of one of Chizhevsky’s last manuscripts, “On the Shore of the Universe – Memories of K.E. Tsiolkovsky“, a fragment of which was put on the cover of the posthumous edition. “Nowhere is the personality of K.E. Tsiolkovsky, as a man, so clearly and distinctly portrayed as in the book under consideration… In the literature about K.E. Tsiolkovsky there is nothing more powerful… The work of Professor A.L. Chizhevsky, an eyewitness and friend of the genius scientist, should be called a classic… Professor G.M. Ludwig” submitted by zlaxy to forgeryreplicafiction [link] [comments] |
2023.06.10 19:09 asd8dhd The Secrets of Interstellar and Interplanetary Travel
DISCLAIMER I almost didn’t post this. Not because I think it’s too wild or doesn’t make any sense. In fact, quite the opposite. The information I present here, which is the result of countless hours spent re-watching videos, listening to audio, and cross-referencing official information, is something that now seems to me to be far too viable not to be correct. I have actually tried to prove this theory wrong and… well basically I can’t. So, please bear this in mind as you read. This could end up being one of those rare occasions when we’re actually onto something. Either way, I hope you enjoy the post. First point; this is going to be a
long post. Given the subject matter, it needs to be. Second point; I have not added any images or videos directly
into the post but have instead included a great many links embedded within the text itself. This should ensure that the post is no longer than it needs to be but should still allow you sufficient opportunity to fully scrutinize every part of my theory, so that you can determine for
yourself whether or not you think it holds weight.
I have organised all of the information under specific headings designed to make everything more accessible. Each section focuses on a particular aspect of the main theory. Even if you think that some of what you are reading may not be relevant, I can assure you that everything written here has been included as an important part of a much larger puzzle, and so I would advise that you patiently make your way through the entirety of the post. In an effort to ensure that your time invested here is appropriately rewarded, and in the spirit of preserving the scientific method, I have tried to keep flavor text and blind speculation down to an absolute minimum.
Note that I will be listing various aspects of this post as being confirmed correct or incorrect as and when we have official information to verify such facts. So here we are, after five long years of waiting, the inevitable release of
Starfield, like the event horizon of some nearby black hole, is almost upon us. With the Showcase now a mere 24 hours away, it is time for us to take a look at what makes this particular game so special, as well as discovering just how we will be given the means to fly among the stars.
And so, without further ado, let us begin.
Hitchhiker's Guide From watching gameplay footage, and also listening to various devs talk about Starfield, we know that at some along the early part of the story, we will find ourselves on board a
Constellation Starship, which is appropriately named
Frontier. With us on the ship is
VASCO, an adorable robot assistant who will eventually become one of our possible companions. But how did we even end up on this ship? Well firstly, I do not believe that Frontier is
our ship, or at least not at first. And so, we’re probably here in the capacity of a ‘guest’ of some kind, or more likely, a hitchhiker.
If we take a look at
this scene, we first hear a male shouting
“that’s the Crimson Fleet!” and then a female saying
“Everybody get ready!” After this, we can see that the group we are with is attacked. We already know that we uncover some kind of
unknown artifact whilst
mining for ore near the beginning of the Main Quest, and that the aforementioned Crimson Fleet is essentially an organised collective of space pirates. But what we don’t know is
why they attacked us. This is not something I will be diving into in this particular post, although I do have some theories about this. But the relevance of the series of events here described cannot be understated, as they seem to be the launching point for our entry into Constellation and the adventures that follow.
Next, if we look a little further, we can see that
this seemingly-important member of Constellation is not with us when we arrive at their
Headquarters on
Jemison, which suggests that he may have been killed during the above mentioned attack. Also note that, in-spite of not having a voiced protagonist this time round, we can clearly hear
somebody talking over Frontier’s comms system, which means that there must be a designated pilot. Given the fact that we don’t see anyone who is
confirmed as being the pilot (although it may actually be
this person), it is safe to assume that this designated individual was with us during the flight but was first injured in the attack on the planet’s surface and was then taken to Medical Bay after we successfully land on Jemison.
It is my belief that, after perhaps being exposed to some kind of energy pulse from a grenade or something similar, the first member of Constellation we see was outright killed (hence why we are then asked to join up ourselves, perhaps to take over his role). The pilot, however, clearly survived as we can hear him talking to Control over the comms system during what is actually an extended two-way conversation, but I think that his
vision was somehow compromised so that, even though he is able to speak, he is temporarily unable to see. The good news about this most unfortunate situation is that it opens the door for us to quickly step into the hot seat and, with the pilot acting as our guide, we will experience our very first
Starfield flight tutorial.
Radio Chatter If you listen to the beginning of both the
Official Teaser Trailer and
Official Gameplay Reveal for Starfield, you will hear both halves of the radio conversation I have referenced above, or at least the parts of it that Bethesda have given us so far. The first of these is spoken by somebody being referred to as
Control, and the second by Frontier’s pilot. I previously
posted a link to an audio I made and put up on
Soundcloud, which gives us all of the confirmed parts of this conversation carefully spliced together and enhanced for clarity. Note that some of the audio, despite these enhancements, is a little hard to make out.
The final, in-game conversation is going to be a fair bit longer than what we have here and will be based on the specific processes that are required before attempting a
Grav Jump. I don’t think we will hear this conversation every time we perform a Jump (especially given that our protagonist does not speak), but the first time we experience this early step-out moment, a detailed and appropriate pre-launch conversation will only serve to enhance what I’m sure will be an awe-inspiring experience.
Note that, at the end of this post, I have provided a link to a written transcript detailing what I think is being said in the full version of the above conversation. In the meantime, here is a breakdown of the confirmed parts of this audio. This is slightly different from the version I previously posted, due to new evidence clarifying exactly what is being said here. I have left line-spaces to help show where the missing parts of the audio will eventually go:
PILOT: "Control this is Constellation Starship Frontier." CONTROL: "Constellation Starship Frontier, we have you on scanners." PILOT: "We're ready to start on your signal." CONTROL: "Performing Road Systems check. Helium-3 tanks, check. Seals are intact." PILOT: "Maintaining Exit Vector course, Steady 'till Ready." CONTROL: "We are still go." PILOT: "Coordinates input, plotting Jump course." CONTROL: "We read you Constellation." PILOT: "Sky-Bus is converged, we're looking good." CONTROL: "Jemison route looks good." PILOT: "Allocating Auxiliary Reactor Power." CONTROL: "Prepare for departure. Graviton Loop Array Spool, check." PILOT: "System checks are green across the board." CONTROL: "Your space Lane is clear." PILOT: "Grav Jump commencing in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1." Road-Trip At first, this seems like a typical, albeit futuristic version of an Air Traffic Control conversation. After all, much of what is being said does sound very familiar, and the rest seems appropriate to Starfield’s apparent Hard Science Fiction theme. But it’s only when you start digging a little deeper that you realize that something else is going on here as well.
Note the following terms taken from the above transcript:
Road,
Exit,
Course,
Coordinates,
Bus,
Route,
Departure and
Lane. All these words share a very noticeable common theme. They are all in some way related to
Road Networks. Note also the phrase “
green across the board," which sounds like it could also be a reference to
Traffic Lights.
Zooming Along Next, let’s look at
this map, which features the home of a certain
Software Development Company you may have heard of. If you zoom out a fair bit, you will see two large Cities, namely
Washington and
Baltimore. Zoom out a little more, and you can now see the cities of
Richmond to the South and
Pittsburgh to the North-West. Zoom back in over any of these four major cities, and you will see that there are many more smaller locations within each of the city limits.
Now scroll the map over to any of the areas outside of these cities, and you will find a multitude of other important locations. These include
residential areas,
airports,
medical facilities,
sports and leisure facilities,
research facilities,
manufacturing facilities, tech companies,
supermarkets),
hotels,
places of worship, and many others. All the above locations are important in one way of another to the continued functioning of our society, and all can be placed within two distinct categories. These are
Population Centers and
Infrastructure.
You’re Gonna Need a Bigger Boat Now imagine that there has been some kind of
catastrophic flood in this area, and all these locations, although somehow miraculously intact, are now separated from each other as a series of individual islands in the middle of a newly formed ‘ocean’. Suddenly, the existing Road Network, along with any cars, busses, and other road vehicles, would become useless. You would need to use a completely different system, one designed to properly accommodate these changes, which would of course have to incorporate such elements as
harbors,
shipping routes, and
vehicles capable of travelling along a waterway.
Now let’s zoom out again, this time further. Much,
much, further. Each location has now been transformed into either a
planet or a
moon, spread across various star systems covering a vast region of space. Each one of these planets and moons will have its own individual features, resources, possible inhabitants, and infrastructure requirements. With such a quantum leap in terms of scale, if we
now wanted to travel between these locations, which could in many cases end up being several light years apart, we are going to need something far bigger in terms of scale, complexity, and technology.
Shown In 60 Seconds During the
first ever 60 seconds of Starfield footage we all saw, shown in the form of the
Official Announcement Teaser at the end of
BE3 on June 11th 2018 (which redditor
InToddWeTrust2023 has very nicely referenced
here), we were given some surprisingly important clues which now form the cornerstone of this theory. Not only have these clues stacked up with every consecutive trailer released, as well as many of the other official videos and various other snippets of information, but their sheer level of consistency places them well outside the realm of possible coincidence.
Some of these additional clues were given to us in the two videos referenced above which contain the comms audio. The second of these two videos, namely the
Official Gameplay Reveal, dropped, as would be expected, at the end of
last year’s Showcase on June 12th 2022. Some of the most crucial information we have been given to date regarding my theory is actually contained in the 70 seconds shown
before Todd even begins to speak. We will discuss the relevance of all of this a little further on in the post.
Lo-go/no go First, some Space related terminology. In Mission Control speak, a
Launch Status Check, also known as a
go/no go poll, is part of a very carefully designed system implemented by US Space Agencies to ensure maximum safety and the best possible survival chance of both the ship and its crew prior to launch. This, or something similar, will undoubtedly form an integral part of the pre-launch, or rather, pre-
Jump procedures incorporated into Starfield, especially given what we know in relation to its specific
influences, attention to detail, and focus on realism.
But let's look for a moment at a different type of launch. Let's look at the process of carefully managing the flow of information when you are launching a long-awaited, multi-million-dollar triple-A video game and you happen to be a major player. With the combined might of
Bethesda,
Zenimax, and now
Microsoft, there is clearly a great deal of scope in terms of how they were able to execute all of the steps involved in this process. One critically important factor, and one that has been masterfully implemented in the promotion of Starfield, is the use of familiar iconography.
If we look at the iconography seen during the promotion of Starfield, we can see that there are two main elements. These are the circular
Starfield logo, first unveiled in 2018, and of course the recently updated
Bethesda Games Studios logo, which has existed in various iterations since around 2006. Both of these share a common, simplistic yet effective design, and the BGS logo in particular is now light years ahead of its
original design as seen on box art and in promotional materials for
The Elder Scrolls VI Oblivion. At the time of Oblivion’s release, the long-term use of this particular logo, which incorporates the now familiar
Fallout Vault Door, was a little uncertain due to restrictions with the associated licence (more on this below). But once this matter had been resolved, it would make a lot of sense that they would then develop this logo into the much sharper, more modern version we see today.
Licenced to Fly Way back in April of 2007, Bethesda realized one of their biggest long-term business goals by finally securing the
full rights to the highly acclaimed Fallout series. Prior to this, in 2004, they had been granted limited rights which would allow them to develop
Fallout 3 and then two additional games, but they clearly wanted
full and unrestricted access to the franchise and all of its assets. Since this time, in addition to Fallout 3, we have seen the release of
Fallout New Vegas,
Fallout 4, and
Fallout 76, as well as a number of smaller projects, including
Fallout Shelter. This is all the proof you need to confirm the fact that, in-spite of some initial setbacks, Bethesda’s insistence on going the extra mile with regards to securing the full franchise, was most definitely worth it, and was seen by many as a landmark achievement.
Looking at the most recent entry to this ever-expanding series, namely Fallout 76, I would like to draw your attention to two of this particular game’s trailers. First, we have the
Fallout 76 Official Trailer from 2018, and then
The Pitt Story Trailer from 2022. In the first of these two trailers, at around the
35 second mark, we see the new BGS logo once again, and then near the end of the video we see a smaller version, neatly tucked away over on the left-hand side of the usual copyright notice. If we then look at the second trailer, at around… Hold on a second, let me rewind that a bit… wait, what?
This is where things start to get really interesting.
One Small Step Okay, going back to the Fallout 76 trailers, although the smaller version of the BGS logo can be seen at or near the end of each of these, only the first incorporates the larger, ‘splash-screen’ version. “
But why is this even important?” you may ask. “
They may have simply forgotten to include this detail in the second trailer.” I can assure you that this is most certainly
not the case. In fact, I am one-hundred-percent confident that this was quite intentional. I would even go as far as saying that this one, seemingly insignificant detail, actually brings us a step closer to unlocking the secrets of Starfield. Essentially, Bethesda have taken full advantage of how we all
think we remember certain details, and as such, this is an example of truly expert-level hidden marketing on their part. I also believe it will form the basis of at least one of the big reveals during the showcase.
One Giant Leap Let’s go back one more time to the
Announcement Teaser and the
Gameplay Reveal for Starfield. Look at how drastically different the BGS logo is in
both of these videos compared to any of those used in promoting Fallout 76. What will really blow your mind here is the fact that all four of the trailers mentioned above were first shown to us during the
same two Showcases we have just been discussing! In other words, the first of these videos for both Fallout 76 and Starfield were both unveiled at the 2018 Showcase, and the second of each at the 2022 Showcase. And yet each respective pair make use of drastically different versions of what we all thought was the exact same logo. This means that Starfield has been designed, from the ground up, to be viewed and experienced in a totally different way than, and completely separate from, any of Bethesda’s previous titles.
To clarify this point, after extensive research, I can confirm that this new, animated BGS logo, with the vault door rolling off to the left and then ‘opening up’ just before the text appears,
has never been featured anywhere in an official capacity that is not directly related to Starfield. It is completely unique to this specific IP. This fact ties together everything we have looked at in the post so far. It also lets us see things from a completely different ‘orbital’ perspective. For example, I believe that this information gives us the
real reason why Bethesda worked so hard to secure the full rights to the Fallout franchise in the way that they did. Not only did they wish to create awesome games set within the Fallout universe, but they also needed total freedom to make use of a specific part of this franchise that so that they could then incorporate it into their next, very
very big, space related IP.
For Mankind Okay. This is the part you’ve all been waiting so patiently for. This is the big reveal. For months now, perhaps even years, we have all been drip-fed the idea that Starfield is essentially “
Skyrim in Space.” The reason I think that we have been told this is to misdirect us away from an intrinsic, interwoven connection between Starfield and Bethesda’s other major franchise, which is of course Fallout. But just to put your mind at rest, I do not for a nanosecond believe that the reveal will be, “
We fooled you all, it’s actually Fallout in space!” no matter how cool that might at first sound.
What I do believe is that Starfield will be
so different and
so unique when viewed alongside anything else that Bethesda have published, that it will quite literally take your breath away.
This game,
the spark of which was first ignited 25 years ago, is Todd Howard’s true passion project. Everything else was simply the path he took to finally get here. This is the story he has always wanted to tell, the story of Mankind’s true legacy. And it all starts, just as it did when Interplay released the original
Fallout) game back in 1997, with a familiar, but staggeringly different Vault Door.
The Vault There is a very special and completely unique
hidden Vault in Starfield. Not only is this particular Vault unlike anything you have previously seen anywhere within the
Fallout universe, but it is also unlike anything you have seen in
any game. Period.
This hidden Vault is actually the key to both interstellar and interplanetary travel. And it also happens to be the
single biggest construction project in human history, extending across a span of almost one-hundred light years. And it is not even close to being completed, even after more than two-hundred years of construction.
This Vault is, by its very nature,
completely invisible and shielded away from view. It is quite literally hidden in plain sight, and it can only be accessed through one of its specially crafted Vault Doors. But what does all of this mean for gameplay, and how does something like this even work? I’m glad you asked! Let’s strap in and prepare for launch, because we’re all in for an incredible ride.
Welcome, ladies and gentlemen... to The Starfield
Entering The Starfield The following is my own interpretation, based on scientific reasoning and a huge amount of detailed analysis, of exactly how I think this system works. It is, as ever, backed up with several links throughout, as well as additional evidence for which I shall provide a separate link at end of the post. I am expecting perhaps some differences in terms of specific details once we get hold of the final release of Starfield, but I am confident that I am at the very least well within the ballpark with all of this. Okay, here goes.
The Science Behind the Magic Starfield is the name given to a vast network of interconnecting tunnels, spanning the entirety of the Settled Systems, providing us with a very fast and highly practical means of travelling between different planets, and even different star systems. These tunnels exist within a localized, folded state, known as
Tunnel-Space. The construction of the Starfield is made possible thanks to a technological breakthrough which allows gravitational waves (or
Gravitons) to be woven together to form something known as a
Gravity-Tunnel, which is then stretched out and connected between any two existing stellar objects, such as two planets in a given system, of even two stars from different systems.
In order to maintain the integrity of each tunnel, it is wrapped in a special type of
Exotic Matter known as
Superfluid Helium. This has a number of highly unusual properties, including
negative energy density and
negative energy pressure. This essentially makes it the physical-space equivalent of time going in reverse, meaning that it is capable of counteracting the effects of any conventional physical force, including
the gravitational pull of a black hole. As such, it will hold the structure of the Gravity-Tunnel together for an indefinite period of time over a potentially infinite distance through space.
Within the Starfield are a large number of
Nodes and Junction Points. Nodes are used to connect together all of the planets in any one Star System, and Junction Points then connect different Star Systems together, making use of much larger Gravity-Tunnels that are the equivalent of
Interstate Highways. Note that all flight between any given planet and any or all of its moons is handled locally, outside of the Starfield.
Because all of the stars, planets, and moons in the Settled Systems are in a constant state of flux, by which I mean their relative
distance and
positions) are constantly changing in respect to each other, the tunnels within the Starfield have been designed to be able to expand and contract almost infinitely so that they can accommodate any changes in these two factors depending on when, where, and how you travel.
Although the main tunnels are designed to transport people, resources, waste, and other items directly relating to either Population Centers or Infrastructure, I believe there is also a
sub-system) that will allow much smaller objects, such as probes, to carry
data-packets that can be upload at one location and then downloaded at another, effectively solving the problem of inoperable delays in communication between remote locations.
Inside of each Gravity-Tunnel is a bi-directional
singularity, which can be switched between two opposite
polarities whenever required with the help of the surrounding Exotic Matter, allowing for two-way traffic inside what is essentially a one-way system. This means that, as long as you are able to ensure the correct polarity of all connecting Nodes and Junction Points along your route (as in “
Sky-Bus is converged” and “
Jemison route looks good”), you will be able to travel, in theory at least, from any point A to any point B, as long as all of the required interconnections exist within the system.
When travelling through the Starfield, you will set a specific route, known as a
Sky-Bus, which is a specified pathway that runs from your staring location to your destination. You will then, with the help of
Starfield Control, access the tunnels using a
Gating System which I will explain below. Incidentally, I believe that the accepted in-universe name for the actual transit network that we are making use of within the Starfield is the
Sky-Bus Tunnel System.
Each tunnel in this system actually has two separate ‘Lanes’, one on the left for outbound traffic, and one on the right for incoming traffic. As I have explained above, each of these tunnels can only accommodate a single direction of traffic flow at any given time. And so, a safety measure had to be incorporated to prevent any accidental attempts to travel the wrong way down a tunnel and destroying yourself and your ship.
At each end of any given Node or Junction Point is a
Gate. These are the ‘Vault Doors’ I have been referring to. The Gate comprises of a gigantic metal outer-ring connecting to an inner Vault Door. This Vault Door will either be at the center (closed position), or the left (open position) of the outer ring. The open/left position will allow outbound traffic to leave the orbit of the current planet they are in proximity to. To allow inbound traffic, the entire outer ring, with the Vault Door locked in place, will rotate clockwise through 180 degrees to the open/right position to allow access to the inbound Lane. When the outbound Lane is then once again required, the structure then continues to rotate in a clockwise motion until it reaches the open/left position once again. When required, the Vault Door will return to the neutral position at the center of the ring, and the tunnel will be locked.
Regarding Grav Jumps: Whenever you wish to perform a Grav-Jump, you must first request permission from Starfield Control, who will guide you through the process. Once the route is set and your Exit Gate is locked in place, by activating your ship’s Grav-Drive, along with it’s incorporated spooling system, you will first lock on to the front of the tunnel entrance.
Next, using a system similar to an
Aircraft Catapult, you will be pulled into the tunnel at great speed, where the Graviton Loop Array will hold your ship in-place inside the tunnel, and will also ensure you don’t accidentally go down the wrong path. At the other end, the spooling system described above then acts as an
Arresting Cable, slowing you down over a very short distance.
If all of the above is actually correct, especially the last part, then I think I will be having
this on repeat in the background before Grav-Jumps!
Finally, here is the
link to my additional supporting evidence and other materials, including some stuff I haven’t had a chance to really go into yet. Feel free to throw any questions at me, and I’ll do my best to answer them. In the meantime, Showcase will commence in 24 Hours…

2023.06.10 19:03 JamariusQuangle My Ideas for Fallout 5
FALLOUT 5
Fallout 5 will take place in the Dixie Wasteland, in the ruins of Charleston, South Carolina in 2322. It will be the first fallout to take place in the South. The only nuke to hit the region was a defective US nuke that detonated as soon as it was launched.
Character Building:
You start with 35 special points, making it so you have a more specialized build or a jack of all trades. The old skill system makes a return, with you choosing a perk every 3 level ups. Skill checks are frequent, and can vary from Special stats to perks. You get to choose a special perk when you start the story, like Small Frame or Kamikaze. Karma has three tiers: Evil, Neutral, and Good.
Mutations and Radiation: Mutations will occur like in 76, but you can become a super mutant if you dip yourself in a vat of FEV. Your strength and endurance will increase dramatically, but many factions and cities won’t let you in without a huge hassle. Radiation makes you mutate more, but if your mutation level is too high you will turn into a mindless Behemoth. Too much radiation will turn you into a ghoul, which makes you immune to radiation and raises your endurance. If you get too many rads while ghoulified, you become feral.
Weapons & V.A.T.S:
Makeshift weapons are far more prevalent in this game, but they are more diverse and realistic than those in Fallout 4. Normal weapons are more powerful and rarer, selling for more at stores. More real guns will be added alongside the retro-futuristic fallout guns, including the 9 round and 1 shotgun shell LeMat revolver. Weapon customization exists alongside a wider variety than of weapons. Dual wielding makes its first entry to the series, allowing for dual wielding of small melee weapons, pistols, and smgs.
Higher Agility levels makes dual wielding more accurate. V.A.T.S will return to freezing the game instead of the slowed down time in Fallout 4
Settlements:
There will be 3 buildable settlement locations that you discover on your own, and 5 customizable player home locations.
World: The Dixie Wasteland is a mix of civilized and Wild. The Western section of the map is the most dangerous, full of raiders and animals, despite that the town of Magnolia is in the west. The Northeast is the city of Charleston, the city of Civitas Ferro is set up within eastern Charleston. The South of the map is controlled by the Brotherhood of Steel as well. The middle of the map is a bunch of small towns mixed with the wildness of the west. The eastern side of the map is swamps, and the west is forested hills. A large lifeless crater exists in the in the middle of the map, simply known as the Hole.
Enemies: Some animals return, such as bloodbugs, deathclaws, ferals, bloatflies, and Yao Guais, Mirelurks, and Gatorclaws. New animals include Raddlesnakes, Giraffe Dogs (coyotes with long necks), Snappers (huge turtles), and Prowlers (mutated bobcats). Raiders are in named groups again, with three main bands terrorizing Dixie. The tribe known as the Confederates who enslave and sell rather than pillage, the Beastmasters who tame mutated animals and attack with them, and the Vaulties who were former vault dwellers. Generic raiders can also be found. Super Mutant bands have moved south from the Capital Wasteland, and continue their sackings in Dixie. Enemy robots are occasionally found, especially from the RobCo factory in the city. The last kind of enemy is the main factions if you piss them off, as they send death squads out to gank you if you have a bad reputation.
Dixie history: The Carolinians united the eastern coast and Charleston together as a large scale civilization in 2190, but by the year 2291, the Brotherhood of Steel invaded. They pillaged, plundered, and took control of the east coast and the capital of the Carolinians. Their despotic rule has causes several factions in the wasteland grow rebellious, and tensions are reaching a high in 2322.
Themes: The game has a southern theme, with the radios playing country and bluegrass music. Characters have southern accents, as do the robots.
Radio Stations:
Magnolia Radio - Swing and Jazz hosted by a charismatic ghoul named Darren Dixie. Darren will comment on the events that occur throughout the wasteland.
Hoedown Capital - A country and bluegrass station hosted by Mr. Hillbilly, a DJ Mr.
Handy. He still believes the year is 2077, and only tells news relating to events that happened leading up to the Great War.
Brotherhood Military Channel - Updates troops about tech locations and orders patrols around.
There are plenty of side quests and random events, including side quests for each faction.
Factions:
There are 5 factions in Fallout 5, and you have to side with one of them to complete the story. The Tribal ending is the wild card ending. The reputation system makes a return, with the New Vegas pictures.
Brotherhood of Steel: The Brotherhood of Steel has turned into nothing short of a jingoistic military dictatorship, developed by Elder William Garrick. The Brotherhood abandoned Maxson in the commonwealth, as Garrick lead a silent coup in the Capital wasteland. The Brotherhood has grown colossally in size, and now spans the East Coast unchecked in power. Not only do they seize military technology now, they also seize stuff like pre-war small arms, Auto-docs, pip-boys, robots, terminals etc. They’ve ruled over Atlanta for the past 2 years with an iron fist, forcing settlers into giving up their crops and crippling the wasteland and infrastructure of the Dixie Wasteland. They control a large city inside Atlanta called Civitas Ferro, with their headquarters in the center. Despite your hatred for them initially, you can join them and defeat all the rebels.
Carolinian Revolutionary Army- The Carolinians are the remnants of the former largest nation in the Dixie Wasteland called the Free Federation of Charleston. It was a democratic civilization based on the old state of South Carolina, with elections and rights for any human or quasi-human. Although it was weak and corrupt, it was better than the alternatives. When the Brotherhood rolled in, the Carolinians resisted their raids, so the Brotherhood overthrew them in a scorched Earth campaign. The Carolinians are the remnants of their military, dedicated to rebelling against the Brotherhood’s tyranny, and have the endgame goal of bringing Democracy back to Dixie. They grow steadily by the day, but they suffer from bureaucratic issues and corruption. You can join the Carolinians as an agent, and you help them lead a rebellion against the Brotherhood.
Greylock’s Hand: Greylock’s Hand are a band of violent raiders and mercenaries, who likewise want the Brotherhood of Steel gone, but instead desire an anarchic survival of the fittest wasteland. They are lead by a profane, wild ghoul named Greylock. They are basically terrorists, but their raids and ambushes against the Brotherhood are effective. They reside in a secret underground missile launch site, completed two days before the war. Even the Brotherhood knows nothing about it aside from rumors. The missiles, however, are not finished. You can join Greylocks Hand after getting kidnapped by them, and after you help them build part of the missiles.
Magnolia: The last joinable faction is Magnolia, a large settlement in and around the former plantation home. The city is ruled by a group of Mister Handys who escaped from a crashed truck driving to Charleston the day of the Great War. They saw the magnolia plantation and went their to clean, doing so and repairing it for 150 years, eventually realizing what was happening in the world around them.Their newfound “sentience” allowed them to create a settlement, inviting wastelanders and tribals to live and trade under their protection. Their elected leader is a specialized Mr Handy that has economic programming. The robots have defended themselves from several Brotherhood attacks, and after some convincing they allow you to become an honorary robot and join their faction.
Tribal: Instead of choosing any of the four main factions, you can instead unite the smaller settlements, tribes, and factions into New Dixie. You are assisted by an intelligent Supermutant from the Capital Wasteland named Spider, acting as your loyal second in command.
Minor factions:
The Network: A secret underground trading organization that sells and trades equipment that would normally be confiscated by the BoS. You can rat them out to the BoS, or you can join them.
Wasteland Marshalls: A paramilitary organization that patrols highways and hunts raiders, based on the US Marshals of the past. You can join them or convince them to join the brotherhood.
Catawbas: The descendants of the old native tribe from South Carolina, they specialize in the creation of makeshift weaponry to sell to wastelanders. You can convince them to join the rebellion, or you can convince them to join the Brotherhood.
Abolitionists: A militia of borderline terroristic anti-slavers, based on the conquests of the radical abolitionist John Brown. You can join them or eliminate them.
Plot:
South Carolina: 2322. War, war never changes.
The main character is a tribal living southeast of Charleston. The tribe has to pay a toll to local raiders, and it’s left their tribe starving. In the first part of the game, the Tribal, their sibling and their friend are searching for food for their tribe, when they stumble across an old sunken West-Tek storage depot. In it is a prototype suit of power armor called the AX-01, which is a large tank-suit with back missiles and two hand laser rifles, built for ease of use. You learn how to pilot it from a terminal, and you take it back to the tribe; the raiders and their leader are there demanding their payment. You kill the raiders with the power armor, and the tribe is free from their subjugation. Weeks later, 4 Brotherhood of Steel paladins arrive at the village. After the tribals refuse to give up their power armor, the BoS execute everyone in the village and burn it to the ground (including your sibling), seizing the suit and flying away on a vertibird. Only the Tribal remains.
Act 1: The Tribal picks up a broken pip-boy as soon as they leave the town, and they hunt down the paladins North to Charleston, you kill all 4 of them while adventuring across the map. By the end of the first act, the Brotherhood declares you an enemy of the Brotherhood.
Act 2: Due to the deaths of several Paladins and the constant rebellion from the region, a Brotherhood blimp appears. The brotherhood frequency states that if the Tribal visits the ship, they will be absolved of their crimes. The Tribal is also invited to secret meeting of between Carolinians and robots from Magnolia. You also get kidnapped by the Greylocks 2 days after this meeting. From there you can choose between the rebels or the Brotherhood, and do their specific quest lines. For the Greylocks, you have to find parts to build their rockets. Whereas for the other groups you have to find a way into their base.
Act 3: All questlines end in the ultimate battle and raid on the Greylock base. If you side with the Greylocks you repel the attackers. The end of the story is where you fire the missile array at the Brotherhood’s home base and their airship, chasing them out of Dixie. If you side with the Brotherhood you secure the missile array and fire the rockets at the fleeing rebels, crushing their numbers.
Each ending depends on your karma and what side you chose, potentially turning a “good” faction evil or an “evil” faction good.
Your actions have consequences throughout the story, and no character is essential except for potential companions.

2023.06.10 18:53 fatefuldawn I Finished a No Somniel Ironman Run on Maddening!
I can't believe it. So a No Somniel run pretty much means that during the run, all activities that are done in the Somniel are banned. There are several combat-related implications of this - no refining weapons (no early strong weapons like a Levin Sword until Ch. 11 for example and can only use base weapons), no engravings, no Bond Rings, no cooking, no activities, no Well, and no Arena. The early Steel weapons that you get upon going to the Somniel from an update are banned as well as the Heroes rewards (the Bond Rings and the weapons, Folkvangr, Fensalir, and Noatun). No Arena means that leveling up the bond rank of Emblems on each character will have to be done in the maps themselves and skill inherits are impossible. Reclassing is still possible, but more difficult now that you have to level up bond ranks in maps and because weapon proficiencies past bond rank 5 will need at least two maps with the Emblem Ring. No DLC either, but that doesn't impact me since I don't have it anyway. And while it's not a Somniel activity, I didn't have Network Connection enabled for the weapon drops, EXP, and other small benefits scattered on a map. I had finished a normal Ironman run with no big issues (one death, RIP Louis), but I went into this run fully expecting to lose it. An Ironman means no using the Draconic Time Crystal, so no rewinding my mistakes and every input I make is final. If a character dies because of my poor decisions or they get crit by the enemy, they remain dead.
Run casualties:
- Chloe: Died in Ch. 6. Fog of war claimed another life. Chloe got hit by an axe fighter and a thief that I didn't have vision of. It was entirely my mistake to overextend with her when I could've just played it safe. I was going to use Chloe this run as an early carry before likely transitioning her to a more support based role if her combat couldn't keep up.
- Yunaka: Died in Ch. 8. Overall, I think Chloe's death kinda snowballed the deaths in Ch. 8. Going into this chapter, I lost a character that was going to be one of my early carries. Lapis was Chloe's replacement, but I needed to get staff proficiency on her just in case I was going to pivot her to a support later (especially since I can't get staff proficiency for a long time after Ch. 10). Lapis therefore had to have Micaiah for several maps and I tried to continue using Marth on Alear on Ch. 8 instead as a carry. However, because of my poor timing of Engage attacks and just being badly positioned because I was unprepared for when Kagetsu and Zelkov started moving, I got myself in a situation that required me to hit a 65% to defeat Kagetsu. Missed the 65% and Yunaka died to him.
- Framme: Died in Ch. 8. I didn't have Lodestar Rush or enough power in general to take down Ivy in one turn. But I had to start taking down her health bars eventually otherwise I would have game over'ed since enemies would've reached the target point. As such, almost all of my units were in range of Ivy at that point and she had free reign to choose whoever she wanted to kill. In the end, she chose to Killer Axe crit Framme to death (Framme would've died even without the crit).
- Celine: Died in Ch. 10. I'm really mad at myself for this death because Celine died on turn one. I calculated how much damage she would take from the armor and pegasus knight on the left if they both hit her and concluded if Celine was next to Alear, she would live at 1 HP. Well, she didn't live at 1 HP because I didn't account for the Resonance damage from having Celica on her. And of course both the armor and pegasus knight hit their 50% attacks. Celine was my only early game carry because Chloe had died. And now she was dead on turn one of a difficult 2-part map.
- Diamant: Died in Ch. 10. Got frozen by Hortensia and I couldn't get in range to Restore him without risking Alear's death to Hortensia's Dragon effective Luin. However, I did forget to have him equip a lighter weapon and because he had the armorslayer equipped, he got doubled by Hortensia and died. I don't fully remember if he could've lived if he wasn't doubled by Hortensia (because there were other enemies around him), but I'm still frustrated at myself for letting that happen. I don't know if it's just me, but I always have trouble with taking down Hortensia in this chapter; on my normal Ironman run, I had to resort to freezing her due to a lucky early Freeze staff from the Well, but alas, no such resources like that exist in a No Somniel run.
RIP Chloe, Yunaka, Framme, Celine, and Diamant.
The Final Team:
Some quick notes - the screenshot on the top has HP tonics already applied to everyone so subtract 5 if you want to see their true HP. That was the first thing I did when I went into the final map and then thought maybe I should screenshot everyone. The screenshot on the bottom has everyone with their Emblem Rings and full tonics applied to them.
- Martial Master Alear (Lucina): I really like support Alear and having them as the Bonded Shielder has worked wonders in my previous playthroughs. I figured that I would need Alear's +3 flat damage for my carries and since they support everyone in the cast, they provide +10 hit for free as well. I chose to go with Martial Master Alear because my combat carries were going to be in several different class types and I wanted the flexibility to have 100% activation rate on Bonded Shield for all of them if the need arises. I also really like Chain Guard. As such, in early game, I fed Alear experience through Mercurius farming and then gave them Micaiah to get staff proficiency and to farm via Great Sacrifice. By Ch. 11, Alear was a Griffin Knight because I believe having Alear in a flying class in Ch. 11 is invaluable so you can quickly reach the point on the map to trigger Ivy, Zelkov, and Kagetsu to join you before you get overwhelmed by Corrupted with Emblems. After staying a few more chapters in Griffin (until I could give Alear Lucina after getting sword proficiency off of her on another character), Alear became a Martial Master and mainly Bonded Shielded or Chain Guarded. Not being able to Micaiah Engrave a Shielding Art to drive enemy hit rates close to 0% meant that I had to be more cognizant of where I used Bonded Shield. The enemy AI mostly decides which character to attack based on expected damage (combination of actual damage they'll do in a round of combat, how likely it is they'll hit, and their crit chance on you is also factored in). So when Bonded Shielding, I had to make sure that Alear was not going to get targeted and if they were, that they were not going to get killed from it. As such, it wasn't as simple as plop two units down and go to town deleting enemies, but it was still really strong nonetheless.
Stat Boosters: One Boots, one Seraph Robe, one Speedwing, three Dracoshields, three Talismans, two Goddess Icons
- Wyvern Knight Amber (Lyn): For Amber, I was particularly cognizant of the fact that in my previous normal Ironman run, he sometimes had 90% hit rates in the endgame despite having a +hit rate engraving on his lances. That's why I decided to go with sword/lance Wyvern instead of axe/lance Wyvern even though it would've been easier to get axe proficiency on him (axe proficiency is at bond rank 2 on Leif while any sword proficiency requires at least bond rank 6, which means at least two maps worth of using a specific Emblem vs. just one). That decision really paid off. Amber was mostly using swords throughout the midgame of this playthrough because he wasn't getting 90%+ hit on lances even while I was activating his personal for +20 hit. I can only imagine his hit rates while using axes... it just spells disaster if a crucial attack misses in an Ironman (Yunaka's death...). If I saw Amber's hit rate really going into the gutter by the endgame, I was prepared to have him switch to Sniper and just kill fliers, but that never ended up happening especially after I used all my Secret Books on him (none of my other combat characters could use them since many of them capped dex and for those that didn't, they were accurate anyway). Amber remained good throughout even though by endgame, he rarely one-rounded enemies.
Stat Boosters: One Energy Drop, three Secret Books, one Speedwing
- Warrior Kagetsu (Roy): I had my sights set on getting Kagetsu into Warrior despite Wyvern being easier to reclass into and still a strong class for him because I felt I needed the absolute best out of my units to get through this run (and I believe Warrior is Kagetsu's best class). Getting him into Warrior was a bit of an endeavor, but having to delegate an Emblem to Kagetsu wasn't going to make the game harder; on the contrary, it likely made things easier because Kagetsu is such a strong unit to start with. Kagetsu immediately got Lyn for Ch. 12 and 13 to get bow proficiency. This worked out for me in a lot of ways because Ch. 12 is an easy chapter so Emblem allocation isn't that important to get through the map. Plus, Lyn on Kagetsu for Ch. 12 doubles the Wolf Knights once you get two Speedtaker stacks so I found it quite nice having Lyn on him. And my strategy for Ch. 13 always involved Lyn on Kagetsu (see my chapter thoughts in the comments) anyway. Now, he's got bow proficiency just in time for Ch. 14, where Ike immediately goes on Kagetsu to get axe proficiency. And soon after, he's a Warrior and just snowballed from there. I was initially a bit worried about using axes at all in this playthrough considering their low base hit rates (I was prepared to pivot Kagetsu into Wyvern and have him use swords if I needed to), but Kagetsu had 100% hit rate with a Silver Axe often. His Longbow was accurate too (same base hit rate as Silver Axe). Overall, Kagetsu snowballed hard. And when I got Roy on him, and eventually the Binding Blade unlocked, he could clear entire groups of enemies by himself (cleared the entire top lane of Ch. 24 himself with just a healer nearby). After this run, I wholeheartedly believe Roy is Kagetsu's best Emblem and it reaffirms my belief that Warrior is Kagetsu's best class. He just hits so hard with axes and doesn't take much damage either. Wyvern's great for Kagetsu, but really, try him in Warrior if you get the chance. He won't need crits to one-round, only a Silver Axe. If he can cleanly one-round a ton of endgame enemies with just a base Silver Axe and no inherits on this kind of challenge run, actually forging a Silver Axe up a bit and maybe giving it an engrave should achieve similar or better results than what I got as I'm pretty sure my Kagetsu is about average strength-wise (+1 strength than average if I calculated correctly, he got two Energy Drops and is overleveled which is why his strength looks astronomical). My Kagetsu was speed screwed (speed and build were lower than average in the midgame) for nearly the entire run because he should've capped speed way before looping and he didn't cap until after looping in Warrior. That actually mattered a few times and it made me really miss having Speed+X on him, but it wasn't something I couldn't work around and he was a powerhouse regardless.
Stat Boosters: One Boots, one Seraph Robe, two Energy Drops
- Mage Knight Pandreo (Marth): After I got Pandreo, I immediately gave him Lucina to get sword proficiency to switch into Mage Knight. He did pretty well in Mage Knight, but it wasn't until after getting partway through Ch. 17 (gave him Eirika so he got bond rank 3 for Bravery at that moment and got the Bolganone that Griss drops), where he really started to snowball. After that, he could consistently one-round a lot of enemies without help until Ch. 20. Unfortunately, that's when his speed cap in Mage Knight caught up and in the endgame, 31 base speed that is not quite enough without a bit of speed boosting from an Emblem considering I cannot inherit Speed+X. In the last couple of chapters, I mostly used Marth (sometimes switched to Eirika) on Pandreo. Marth has some +speed stat boosts innately and can boost damage as well if Engaged via Divine Speed providing an additional attack at 50% damage. Using Marth on a magic unit was something I did before when I played around and used Mage Knight Kagetsu lol It worked well then and it worked well now. This Mage Knight Pandreo's stats besides magic have actually been the least impressive I've had so far. I think his magic is maybe around +2 to +3 above average though (I forget what level I class changed him from High Priest to Mage Knight), which more than makes up for his other stat deficiencies. I'm just surprised he didn't cap dex or resistance by the end of the game when he usually does. Nonetheless, Pandreo was a powerhouse and carried the run like Kagetsu even though I couldn't just send him into a group of enemies without being covered by Bonded Shield and know he'll live whilst taking them all down (unless it's a group of enemies with Great weapons he can double, those are fodder to Pandreo).
Stat Boosters: Three Spirit Dusts
- Warrior Merrin (Eirika): Unlike with Kagetsu, I didn't go through four whole maps of raising bond ranks up for Merrin to change classes. That's because she'll probably end up being able to change into Warrior by Ch. 18 if I did that. Meanwhile, if I just waited until Ch. 17 to get Leif back, I would have Warrior Merrin in time for Ch. 19. It's a one chapter lag for a huge team power difference from Ch. 14 through 17 as one of my stronger units wouldn't be able to use Lyn or Ike. Merrin mostly chipped as a Wolf Knight and even when I got her into Warrior, she still was chipping (occasionally, she would one-shot fliers with the Radiant Bow) because her damage wasn't good enough and she was under the level curve. Plus, her hit rates were shaky for a good amount of time. However, I wanted her to be more so I kept feeding her kills whenever I could and I gave her Eirika after I got Marth back. With Eirika, she could sometimes do some great damage with a Brave Axe (and Eirika's damage boost helped her hit some one-round thresholds with a bow on magical enemies, that's how low her damage output was). But once she got access to Sieglinde, she could finally one-round some endgame enemies due to effective damage.
Stat Boosters: One Speedwing
- Thief Zelkov (Byleth): Bought a Short Knife just for him because I didn't want this unlucky guy to get randomly crit if he faced any combat, but in hindsight with all the luck that Byleth provides, maybe that wasn't necessary. Byleth on a covert gives +5 speed when Instructing and after a Goddess Dance and considering that I cannot inherit Speed+X on my characters, I knew I was going to need the speed buff since the speed thresholds get really high on Maddening. In the end, that speed buff wasn't needed for my primary carries (Kagetsu and Pandreo) until Ch. 20, but after that, it really was needed. Pandreo caps speed in Mage Knight at 31 (so with a speed tonic, Special Dance from Seadall, and Chaos Style activated, Pandreo can only naturally double enemies that are at 34 speed or below) and Kagetsu caps speed in Warrior at 35 (so with a speed tonic, Special Dance from Seadall, and while Engaged with Roy, Kagetsu can only naturally double enemies that are at 38 speed or below). From what I saw, enemy speed can reach up to 44 so that Instruct was absolutely needed so that they could double enemies up to 39 or 43 speed respectively.
- Dancer Seadall (Sigurd): I don't think there's much to say about Seadall except that I put Sigurd on him because I only have one Canter to give out and having it on a dancer felt like the most useful. I can't use Override, but that's a small price to pay for the flexibility in positioning for Goddess Dances.
- Sage Citrinne (Corrin): Citrinne replaced Celine's role as an early game carry after Celine's death. While she only really had one map to shine (Ch. 11), she really did shine in that map. I luckily had the foresight to get a melee weapon proficiency on Citrinne in case I needed to make her a Mage Knight. I could've promoted her to Sage, but I compared the stats and saw that Mage Knight Citrinne would double a lot of enemies on Ch. 11's map and that's what I needed at the time. Citrinne put in a lot of work that map, immediately one-rounding the first axe fighter (if not for Roy's Hold Out). I had Citrinne stay in Mage Knight for several chapters as she was my best option for a magical carry for some time (Pandreo was stuck in High Priest for several chapters while having Lucina equipped before he can reclass) and her performance was pretty good. If I kept using her for combat and gave her resources like Lyn, I feel she would've turned out great. But in the end, Citrinne reclassed to Sage once I got Corrin because she was one of my few units that could be in a Mystical class (no tome proficiency to work towards either for a long time) and pivoted into a support role after that (which was my intention with Celine once I reached that point). She was great nonetheless. Corrin on a Mystical unit is a tried and true combo that I really like because it means being able to debuff and freeze enemies in place from three range (especially important now that I don't have Canter), and the Fire Dragon Vein is the most useful one imo. In all honesty, I didn't use the Fire Dragon Vein much to ward enemies off. My combat carries were strong enough that I rarely needed it. As such, it was mostly spammed to raise Corrin's bond rank. But it was still great to have that option in my back pocket in case I needed it.
- Griffin Knight Lapis: Lapis replaced Chloe, but not as well as Citrinne replaced Celine. I couldn't really use Lapis much in combat because she had to have Micaiah equipped to get staff proficiency in the early game. I think I messed up and didn't focus enough on leveling Lapis's bond rank with Micaiah because she had to keep Micaiah all the way until Ch. 11 to get the proficiency. But tbf to myself, I nearly lost the run on Ch. 8 so leveling up bond rank wasn't on the forefront of my mind. By Ch. 11, there was no real justification I could make to try to make her combat work. As like any other staff user, she did her job.
- Cupido Fogado: I was unable to get Fogado off the ground in this playthrough. He was alright up to around when I did Roy's Paralogue as he could still one-shot the Wyverns there with a Radiant Bow even if his hit rates were in the 70s (had to just make sure to have a backup plan if he did miss, which he did a few times); but soon after that, I couldn't consistently find ways to have him contribute and he was left in the dust. I still brought him into the final chapter because maybe some of the chip damage he could do to fliers would help and I felt like I had enough staff users (he actually was helpful in two occasions on the final map!).
- Lindwurm Ivy (Ike): I probably would've used Ivy as a carry if not for the fact that she faces crit from nearly every enemy. Her inaccuracy with tomes is a problem as well, but I didn't need her to chip too often. Essentially, no engravings to fix these issues meant she was relegated to staff duty. She did her job and I think throughout this playthrough she had higher offensive staff hit rate (Freeze, Fracture) than Hortensia most of the time, though it wasn't by a significant amount. After midgame, Ike eventually went on Ivy mainly because I have just one source of Reposition (I really missed not being able to put this skill on most of my support units) and I wanted it on a flier.
- Slepnir Rider Hortensia (Micaiah): Nothing to really say about this as it's as standard and straightforward as can be. She and Citrinne had held a Surge tome just in case I needed someone with 100% accuracy to finish off an enemy (this did happen a couple of times this playthrough).
- Griffin Knight Mauvier (Leif): He's a staff user that can luckily take a few hits because he did need to survive a few in my playthrough. I put Leif on him because Leif wasn't doing much on anyone else after the midgame. But then again, it didn't much on Mauvier either besides being used to Quadruple Strike the Dark Bishop on the final map.
- Sage Veyle (Celica): I kinda messed up because I didn't realize Veyle had access to S tomes in her Fell Child class and the main thing I wanted to do was use her with Nova. I could've saved myself the trouble of reclassing, but in the end, it was okay because reclassing to Sage does increase Veyle's offensive stats. I do miss out on the Fell Child class skill (which is quite nice), but getting Celica Engage back is low priority anyway so the trade-off was fine. Since my team lacked a second source of magic damage, Veyle was helpful as someone who can do a lot of damage with magic. She didn't one-round a lot of enemies, but her performance was satisfactory.
Stat Boosters: One Seraph Robe, one Speedwing
In comments below, I detail my thoughts on the individual chapters if anyone's interested (starting from Ch. 6 since that's the first chapter where something actually happened and where I also had a clear goal in mind for the map). I never thought I would successfully complete this run so I don't have any screenshots to chronicle events from before Ch. 24-ish (also, I forgot to screenshot too many things). I unfortunately don't remember the exact details of the early/midgame chapters that well anymore, but I tried my best to recall whatever information I could. This is listed by the order I tackled the maps. A full turn count, playtime, and MVP list is
here. Edit: Fixed a few links.

2023.06.10 18:42 someguy3 Introducing Middlemak-NH. A variant that puts all vowels on one hand to maximize alternating hands.
This is a variant of Middlemak that gives:
QWLDG JFOU: NSRTP YHEIA ZXCVB KM,./
Colored changes from Qwerty Middlemak-NH GitHub download. This was inspired by Northstars placement of H, which I think he got from Nerps.
This is an extraordinary option of Middlemak. Specific details:
1) The most fundamental change is that it puts all the vowels on one hand and most consonants on the other. This maximizes alternating hands (since 75% of all bigrams are between vowels and consonants) while still maintaining a good amount of Qwerty similarity to make it easy to adopt and keep shortcuts the same.
2) Second, this is a pretty impressive reduction in SFB (from Middlemak) by getting rid of NK, KN, NY, NF, and NM (and even AZ). None of those are humongous, but they do add up.
3) It reduces NFBs (from Middlemak). (Explanations on points 3 and 4 get pretty big, the short of it is that it reduces NFBS, massively reduces rolls, and puts in more alternating.) Full details:
3a) Left pinky: being N reduces the ring-to-pinky NFBs even more. WN, SN, and XN are much less common than WA, SA, XA.
3b) Right pinky: being A is slightly worse because it gets rid of the H inside roll. It basically splits the previous HI inside roll to half IA and half AI.
3c) RIght index: being H reduces NFB by replacing ON with OH.
4) It massively reduces rolls, replacing them with alternating hands. Full details:
4a) Left pinky: being N reduces overall rolls with the pinky by a massive 53%. The inside rolls reduce significantly, and the outside rolls to N go to almost nil.
4b) Right hand pinky: being A reduces overall rolls with the pinky by slight 11%. There is an increase in outside rolls with the pinky (previously having H there meant there was basically no outside rolls).
4c) Right index: being H reduces overall rolls with the index by 45%. There is also an increase in outside rolls (because H to vowels is common), but the reduction from removing N is huge.
Added up the three letters on both hands and it’s an impressive 43% reduction in overall rolls.
5) I expect this would reduce pinballing even more, because H is less common than N in the middle of words and in-between vowels.
6) Putting H, as the sole common consonant, on the same hand with the vowels works very well. H has half its bigrams with vowels and half with consonants, so putting it with the vowels means ~half the bigrams are on the opposite hand. That’s not as high as the vowels (86% of bigrams with consonants), but it’s quite high all things considered.
7) This still maintains a good amount of Qwerty similarity. Not just the ZXCV, but pretty much the whole bottom row of ZXCVB_M,.? including the punctuation. On the top row it keeps QW in the same spots. On the middle row it still “keeps” part of the SRT order. The letters TG and NYJ switch on the same finger as well. I think Qwerty similarity can’t be overlooked to make it easier to learn.
Downsides:
1) It introduces ND and NG on the same hand. These really don’t feel too bad going from pinky to index inside roll. And this is pretty small considering the amount of rolls taken out.
2) The hands are a little more unbalanced, with the right hand doing a bit more. But it’s very reasonable and still more balanced than most layouts. There’s no changing that without moving one of the uncommon letters Q, Z, X, V to the vowel hand, which would create knock on changes and likely result in a full change layout.
Conclusion:
I think this is a great option to maximize efficiency with most vowels and consonants on opposite hands.
(I do find it interesting that my variant changes 3 letters on the homerow. Most variants change letters around the edges.)
Quick thoughts on other layout’s O and centre column NFBs.
One of the issues with putting O on the middle-finger-upper-row is that the EO column has a ton of frequency that pairs with the centre column. Think of Colemak’s HE, but now you have an O as well. I think you have to be careful or they will add up pretty quick.
Middlemak (and Middlemak-NH) I specifically put less common bigrams (OY and OK) on the center column. These are also low with E.
Canary(ansi): There are a ton of NFBs with O and the centre column with OF and OM. Canary ortho still has a lot with OM on its centre column.
CTGAP(final/5) has similar NFBs with O and the centre column compared to Middlemak.
MTGAP is top notch in this regard by putting punctuation on the centre column. Very low pairings.
Nerps has a notable handful more than Middlemak with BO/OB. Not huge but not nothing.
(APTv3 doesn’t have the O on the middle finger. Putting O on the ring-finger-upper-row pushes the NFBs further away but imo puts O in a weaker position.)
If people really want I can put in charts for this. Have them in excel but it’s a lot of data.
Quick thoughts on columns
A lot of these layouts share similar columns. For consonants RL, TD, SW. Many vowel clusters are similar. A lot seems to come down to the C and what to do with it. It’s interesting to see Canary put C essentially by itself, which means 4 common letters are put off the homerow. Nerps and CTGAP make SCW. APTv3 makes SC.
Moving on, I’ll add some breakdown charts:
Hand balance
Hand balance is a difficult topic. The two most obvious metrics for hand dominance are 1) the frequency of the letters, and 2) the distance the fingers have to travel (which is different from frequency because you don't travel to the home-row). But any pinballing from having too many vowels and consonants on the same hand doesn’t show up in those numbers. Having said that, I’m going to look at frequency and distance.
Keyboard | Vowel Hand | Dominant Hand | Hand Balance ratio based on Frequency | Hand Balance ratio based on Distance | Hand Balance ratio based on Frequency and Distance | Corrected comparison number for left hand dominant |
QWERTY | n/a | Left | 0.77 | 1.06 | 0.82 | 1.22 |
Norman | n/a | Right | 0.93 | 1.27 | 1.19
Beakl-15 | Left | Right | 1.07 | 1.48 | 1.59
Workman | Right | Left | 0.97 | 0.82 | 0.80 | 1.26 |
Dvorak | Left | Right | 1.23 | 1.86 | 2.30
Middlemak | Right | Right | 1.05 | 1.06 | 1.11
Colemak | Right | Right | 1.14 | 1.15 | 1.32
MiddlemakNH | Right | Right | 1.11 | 1.04 | 1.15
MTGAP | Left | Right | 1.00 | 1.43 | 1.43
Nerps(ansi) | Right | Right | 1.06 | 0.98 | 1.04
Engram | Left | Right | 1.09 | 1.43 | 1.56
CTGAP(final/5) | Right | Right | 1.16 | 1.23 | 1.43
APTv3 | Right | Right | 1.11 | 1.01 | 1.12
Canary(ansi) | Right | Right | 1.30 | 1.29 | 1.68
Notes: Sorted by SFB count (see next chart). Ratio >1 indicates right hand dominant, <1 indicates left hand dominant. The hand balance ratios are based on each hand's frequency/distance, right hand divided by left hand. E.g. Middlemak: 51.2% right hand frequency divided by 48.8% left hand frequency equals 1.05. Colemak: 53.2% right hand frequency divided by 46.7% left hand frequency equals 1.14. Hand Balance ratio based on Frequency
and Distance is a simple multiplication of the two ratios. I did this because having more frequency
and more movement on the same hand amplifies the hand dominance. Or if one hand has more frequency and the other hand has more movement, that would mitigate it to some degree. This is by no means the most definitive way to look at it, but it's what I've managed to come up with. The "Corrected comparison number for left hand dominant" is a hard math thing to explain (that I hope I'm right about anyway). E.g. for Workman listing 0.80 gives the wrong impression the hand dominance is equivalent to 1.2 (20%). But it's actually 1.26 (26%), obtained from 1/0.796=1.26.
SFB (index finger pressing C)
The SFB of Middlemak is still pretty low, but it does come out a tad higher than Colemak’s. Middlemak-NH comes in lower than Colemak (for index finger pressing C).
I’ve debated how to show this and decided to go with the full nuclear information. Data is from Mayzner revisited in millions (which only has letter bigrams and doesn’t have punctuation data, that’s what the 0’s are).

Notes: This is with index finger pressing C location, how I think most people type. Adding in punctuation the numbers would be higher.
Notes 2: I think some people have misinterpreted what I mean with index pressing C. I mean on the bottom row: Pinky presses Z. Ring presses X. Middle presses nothing. Index presses C, V, B. This is not angle mod, which is: Pinky presses nothing. Ring presses Z. Middle presses X. Index presses C, V, B. Index finger pressing C (not angle) is how I think most people naturally type on a normal ansi keyboard, but it’s hard to know for sure. Most of the time this doesn’t make much of a difference of SFBs. Nerps, APTv3, Canary above have been given as angle mod because that’s what the creators specifically wanted, and it does make a difference. For index pressing C, they go up. Nerps to 38,832, APTv3(ansi) to 30,893. Canary(ansi) to 27,296. On the flip side Middlemak and Middlemak-NH if using the angle mod go down just a tad, not enough to be worth giving numbers. That means Middlemak and Middlemak-NH works for all 3 of index finger pressing C, angle mod, and “proper” ortho typing (Index finger pressing C actually gives the highest SFB count). (I could do yet another chart for 3 total on SFBs, but I think this is enough. Note the ortho chart below for APTv3 and Canary uses their ortho specified layouts.)
Middlemak-NH: This is very impressive and in league with full change layouts. All while keeping Qwerty similarity.
If you want overall percentages with index finger pressing C:
Layout | SFB % |
Qwerty | 6.264% |
Beakl-15 | 3.575% |
Workman | 3.053% |
Dvorak | 2.639% |
Middlemak | 2.078% |
Engram | 1.863% |
Colemak | 1.815% |
Middlemak-NH | 1.784% |
Middlemak(rotate punctuation) | 1.614% |
APTv3 | 1.420% |
MTGAP | 1.247% |
Middlemak-NH(rotate punctuation) | 1.272% |
Nerps(ansi) | 1.207% |
CTGAP(final/5) | 1.142% |
Canary(ansi) | 1.062% |
This is from Colemak-DH analyzer. This is quite a bit different and the differences between them are greater. Engram even switches places. This is from a) different corpus used and b) accounting for punctuation. On a) I used Mayzner Revisited which is a massive 5.6 trillion characters (does not have punctuation or spaces). Not sure what Colemak-DH uses but KLAnext considers 1 million to be big and slow. On b) Mayzner Revisited doesn’t have punctuation. Note that Middlemak doesn’t change punctuation while CTGAP, APTv3, and Canary do change them, presumably to reduce SFBs.
Ok I confirmed the big gap is from punctuation. Changing Middlemaks ,./ to ’,. and ’ to / (like Nerps, CTGAP, similar to Canary) gives dramatically lower SFB%. They are listed as (rotate punctuation). I’ll leave it up to the user to decide if they want to change punctuation.

Notes: This is with the
middle finger pressing C location, “proper” or ortho style. Same data as above.
If you want overall percentages - middle finger pressing C, Ortho style (Data from Colemak-DH analyzer:

This is from Colemak-DH analyzer. Again quite different. It oddly says Middlemak and Middlemak-NH ortho increases, as opposed to what I found that ortho decreases SFB on both based on Mayzner Revisited. It must come down to the data set used, specifically CT vs CR+CL. And the same as above, the differences between them are larger which again may be from changing punctuation.
Same as above, confirmed the big gap is from punctuation. Changing Middlemaks ,./ to ’,. and ’ to / (like Nerps, CTGAP, similar to Canary) gives dramatically lower SFB%. They are listed as (rotate punctuation). I’ll leave it up to the user to decide if they want to change punctuation. It still oddly says ortho version increases.

MTGAP | 100% | NPJQZ 15.0% | PJQZ 3.8% |
*I decided to not include H for Middlemak because of the direction that the bigrams go. (Fyi if H was included, the NHMFKJ would be 31%, and the consonant % minus homerow would still be MFKJ 12%.) But the location of H matters because it’s almost always followed by a vowel. Putting H with the rest of the consonants means the pinballing can start there. Putting H alone on the pinky gives an inside roll.
The way I would read this to make probabilities, eg for Middlemak, would be 1.0*0.8*0.205*0.8...= 0.132 vs Colemak of 1.0*0.8*0.337*0.8...= 0.216 for a quadgram. For a pentagram: Middlemak would be 1.0*0.8*0.205*0.8*0.205 = 0.0269 vs Colemak of 1.0*0.8*0.337*0.8...= 0.0727. You can keep going. Starting with 1.0 to establish the word starts with the consonant on the vowel hand.
There are issues with this, it's based on frequency rather than actual specific _gram information or words.
The Consonant % minus home row is given because the home row is easier to type on. The consonants that are not on home-row are more awkward to move to.
There are more charts at
middlemak/wiki that breakdown all the finger distances, frequencies, etc. Very interesting to see if you are concerned about specific finger workload.

2023.06.10 18:01 strange_alpaca ILPT: What should I do when an aggressive driver shows a “middle finger” even when it isn’t my fault.
So I live Colorado and the # of times I’ve been show a middle finger for going either within the speed limits or just simply driving sanely is more than enough for me to get frustrated and post this here.
Like 2 days ago, I wanted to take a right turn, I gave right blinker of course, but this lady was tailgating me at a crazy speed and looked like she’s gonna take the right turn as well (no blinker fyi, she was just hovering b/n both lanes) so I just waited for her to take the turn first. But she didn’t cuz she was trying to overtake me from the right (yes - I’ve seen people here doing it), in fact she came on my left and showed me a middle finger as if I’m driving aggressively. I didn’t know what to do - but it really got me frustrated. In 4 months in CO, I’ve been very lucky to not be in almost 2 deadly accidents. I’m fed up now. How to respond to situations like this without getting shot? EDIT - To clear the first sentence - it’s only been 2 times, but then I wonder what did I do that you’re showing me that and it gets me frustrated.

2023.06.10 17:43 throwrastrawbery I (19F) miss my boyfriend (19M) so much that I feel like I'm going to die
I met him through a video game (overwatch to be exact) about 9 months ago. And it was unintentional, we both had taken a break from playing and were getting back into it. We played and talked a bunch and realized our birthdays were 2 weeks apart (I was actually supposed to be born on his exact birthday, but I was 2 weeks premature). We liked pretty much the same music, we had the same temperament and introvertedness. And neither of us really did online dating, it was pretty foreign and seemed unrealistic to us both.
But the more we talked the more we started to consider it, until finally we were sort of dating. And then after about 6 months of this I said "i want to see you. In person". So I bought a ticket, and three months later I was sitting in a restaurant in his hometown with my dad (MILES AWAY. I'm all the way on the far side of the west coast and he's east coast) and I see him drive up with his parents. It was the strangest feeling ever. It felt so surreal.
When I saw him all my worries about this being a reach, and we only like each other on line, dissipated. I loved him as soon as I saw him. It was a little scary at first, because our brains were like "woah, how much of strangers are we, and how much do we know each other?" But we spent pretty much every moment together. We went to the zoo, to the amusement park, the arcade, my dad had dinner with his parents and they seemed to get along pretty well.
I stayed for about 3 full days, and when I left, I was completely distraught. We both were sobbing on the drive together. I was saying I don't want to leave I don't want to leave. And he was saying I don't want you to I don't want you to.
I was inconsolable in the car, all I could think was "I'm driving further and further away. I'm only going to be getting further from him."
He says he's going to try his hardest to come here in 3 weeks, but I don't know if I can even survive that long. Calling is nothing now. I'm so sad. Any tips on how to lessen the pain?

2023.06.10 17:37 saintjimmy43 1440p destroyer, advice would be appreciated
Build Help/Ready:
Have you read the sidebar and rules? (Please do) yes
What is your intended use for this build? The more details the better. about 30 percent video editing, 70 percent gaming and regular home use. Games I play the most are Total War (WH3), CK3, Bannerlord, and B4B
If gaming, what kind of performance are you looking for? (Screen resolution, framerate, game settings) HIGH fps on 1440p, ultra to high settings if possible. my goal is to smash the hell out of 1440p rather than move up to 4k and get 80 - 90 fps averages. My current monitor is a 1440p 165hz 27 inch monitor.
What is your budget (ballpark is okay)? technically i've set aside 4.5k for this build, but I'm not trying to pay a huge markup just to be on the bleeding edge. the 4090 is too much card for what I want or need, I'm not interested in paying to get pretty good framerates at 4k when I could get killer framerates at 1440p for less.
In what country are you purchasing your parts? 'Murica
Post a draft of your potential build here (specific parts please). Consider formatting your parts list. Don't ask to be spoonfed a build (read the rules!).
PCPartPicker Part List Provide any additional details you wish below. Mostly looking to tweak this build, I am somewhat under budget so basically just looking to improve the experience at 1440p as much as possible. I'm a little shaky on the graphics card but seeing as I do video editing as well as gaming I would like to have all bases covered. I'm really hoping to get 5 years out of this machine, which is why I'm running the 7950x3d, I like the power draw versus the i9 series and I like the fact that the AM5 socket is still due more support.

2023.06.10 16:31 No_Yogurtcloset8865 new contradictions in the bible and YHWH the deceiver
And if you say in your heart, ‘How shall we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?’—when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that
is the thing which the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.deut 18:21-22 this overrides
Jeremiah 18:8 especially since jeremiah himself was a false prophet according to the torah that falsely told of the everlasting destruction, becoming uninhabited waste and sinking of babylon by the medes. saddam hussein rebuilt the walls of babylon and it has always been inhabited,it's called Hillah today in Iraq.
4Your territory shall extend from the wilderness and Lebanon to the great River Euphrates—all the land of the Hittites—and west as far as the Great Sea.
5No one shall stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so will I be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. 6Be strong and courageous, for you shall give these people the inheritance of the land that I swore to their fathers I would give them.… I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses.
Joshua 1:3 this is a false prophecy and joshua lost against various canaanite peoples and could not drive them out. there is also the issue that the itineraries of deuteronomy and numbers contradict each other, something expounded upon in detail by phd steven dimattei.
also What transpires on the day Moses sets up and anoints the Tabernacle: Aaron and his sons are anointed as Yahweh’s priests and shut in the Tent of Meeting for a 7 day ordination or Israel’s 12 chieftains present sacrificial offerings to Yahweh, 1 a day for the following 12 days? (Ex 40:1-17; Lev 8-9 vs Num 7)?So while Aaron and sons were enclosed in the Tent of Meeting from 1/1/2 to 1/8/2 in the Leviticus 8-9 tradition, so that no sacrifices were being offered during this purificatory ordination period of 7 days, sacrifices were being offered during this time period and the Aaronid priests were active according to the Numbers 7 tradition.
james says '
For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone” (James 1:13)'but Ezekiel says YHWH does tempt others with evil by saying '
Ezekiel 14:9
“And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.”
King James Version (KJV)
this is a contradiction.2 peter 39The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
yet yhwh also says :And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes;
lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed. -,And%20he%20said%2C%20Go%2C%20and%20tell%20this%20people%2C%20Hear,and%20convert%2C%20and%20be%20healed.)
Isaiah 6:9-12-,And%20he%20said%2C%20Go%2C%20and%20tell%20this%20people%2C%20Hear,and%20convert%2C%20and%20be%20healed.)
there is also the issue that yahweh is a deceiver in that he openly tells his prophets like Isaiah and Jesus (Matthew 13:13-15)
to deceive So here we see that Jesus was deceiving certain people by speaking in parables so that they won't (and God forbid!) REPENT AND BE FORGIVEN!
Also in...
2 Thessalonians 2:11 11For this reason
God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie So God will delude people so that they can believe lies?
and He also says King James 2000 Bible Jeremiah 23:39 Therefore, behold, I, even I, will utterly forget (Nasha) you, and I will forsake you, and the city that I gave you and your fathers, and cast you out of my presence:
Lets read the Hebrew with Transliteration in english.
läkhën hin'niy w'näshiytiy et'khem näsho w'nä†ash'Tiy et'khem w'et-häiyr ásher nätaTiy läkhem w'laávôtëykhem mëal Pänäy
The Hebrew word (nä†ash) pronounced as ‘Nashah’ has the following meanings:
1) to beguile, deceive A)(Niphal) to be beguiled B)(Hiphil) to beguile, deceive C)(Qal) utterly (infinitive)
As you have read the word ‘Nashah’ means deceive, beguile and so forth. But when we read English Bible translations for Jer. 23:39 all of them use the word ‘forget?’ Why don’t they give the true meaning, why do they have distort the verse and lie to people? Let’s now bring forth evidence from Hebrew Lexicons for the word ‘Nasha’ and see what the true meaning is. Before we proceed further let’s first show The Hebrew word “Nashah” :
Hebrew word Nashah for Jeremiah 23 39
Professor Mark Roncace comments on Jeremiah 23:39 as well, and says the following:
“The word… itself has certain connotations and echoes in the book of Jeremiah where it appears four other times (4:10; 23:39; 29:8; 49:16). In 4:10 the prophet accuses Yahweh of deception by promising peace and then bringing destruction. Thus, one would as John calvin suggested see the withdrawal of Babylonians as ‘God for a time permit[ting]’ the people ‘to be deceived by fortunate event’ (Commentaries on the Book of the Prophet Jeremiah and the Lamentations [ed. And trans. John Owen; 5 vols.; Grand rapids: Eerdmans, 1950], 4:367). In fact, in 23:39 Yahweh declares ‘I will deceive (Nashah) you and cast you away from my presence.’ One wonders if deception originates within oneself, as 37:9 suggests, or with Yahweh?” It is clear crystal from all this evidence that Yahweh is a deceiver. When the verse (Jeremiah 23:39) is not distorted, it reads like this:
Jeremiah 23:39 Therefore, behold, I, even I, will utterly DECEIVE (Nashah) you, and I will forsake you, and the city that I gave you and your fathers, and cast you out of my presence.

Yahweh Deceives 1 Kings 22:20-22: 20 And the LORD said, ‘Who will entice Ahab into attacking Ramoth Gilead and going to his death there?’ “One suggested this, and another that. 21 Finally, a spirit came forward, stood before the LORD and said, ‘I will entice him.’22 ” ‘By what means?’ the LORD asked. “‘I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouths of all his prophets,’ he said.” ‘You will succeed in enticing him,’ said the LORD. ‘Go and do it.’ Here we see that the man said that he would resort to lying in order to entice Ahab and God supported the idea and told him to go ahead and do it! Here is another beautiful verse where Yahweh asks someone to be deceived by his own command. Someone people may not be familiar with the word ‘entice,’ it means ‘deceive.’ So in other words Yahweh is asking who will deceive Ahab into attacking Ramoth Gilead. This passage is clear, Yahweh is a deceiver. Professor George Alexander Kennedy says the following on the passage: …words for eloquence, speaking, and persuading in the Hebrew text of the Old Testament, there is no Hebrew transitive verb to express the thought ‘He persuades someone’ in a positive sense. The closest is the verb pata, which carries the connotation of enticement, seduction, and deception. Even the Lord is said to engage occasionally in this kind of rhetoric (1 kings 22:20-22; 2 Chronicles 18:19-21; Ezekiel 14:9). Active persuasion in this sense is generally thought of as negative. John Calvin also comments on the verse and says: “…mysteries according to your carnal, foolish understanding. What? When God calls Satan the agent of his vengeance and gives him a public command to deceive, does this differ from mere permission? The voice of God is clear. ‘Who will entice Ahab?’ And there is no obscurity when he commands Satan, ‘You are to entice him, and you shall succeed; go out and do so’ (1 Kings 22:20,22).” Yahweh Deceives Ezekiel 14:9-11: 9 ” ‘And if the prophet is enticed to utter a prophecy, I the LORD have enticed that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand against him and destroy him from among my people Israel. 10 They will bear their guilt-the prophet will be as guilty as the one who consults him. 11 Then the people of Israel will no longer stray from me, nor will they defile themselves any-more with all their sins. They will be my people, and I will be their God, declares the Sovereign LORD.’ “ God is punishing him for a crime that He deceived him to do in the first place? Interesting indeed! Professor James L. Crenshaw says: “Jeremiah complained bitterly that God had overpowered him and seduced him in the same way a virgin is raped (Jeremiah 20:7), and Ezekiel employed the verb to describe God;s deception of his prophets (Ezekiel 14:9). Within wisdom literature the verb assumed special significance it describes a foolish person who is mislead. In Psalm 78:36 the word refers to flattery, the means of deceit, and stands in synonymous parallelism with kazab, to lie.” John M. Reed also comments on the passage: In Ezekiel 14:9 Yahweh says: ‘ And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and I will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.’ Yahweh is more than just a liar; he’s also a deceiver in the Book of Ezekiel. Stating a falsehood is bad enough, but to then purposefully deceive is escalation from passive act of lying, to an aggressive act of harmful deception. Yahweh is violating another of his Ten commandment is an injunction against lying, but Yahweh conveniently disregards the laws that he established, whenever he feels the whimsical need to do so. then there is another contradiction in the bible which claims the israelites didn't enter moabite territory, when the entire book of deutereonomy is in moab across the arnon:Then they journeyed through the wilderness and went around the land of Edom and the land of Moab and arrived on the east side of the land of Moab and camped on the other side of the Arnon. But they did not enter the territory of Moab, for the Arnon was the boundary of Moab.judges 11:18
Yahweh also deceives by telling the king of assyria a certain report so he will be killed.
Isaiah 37:6-7 Isaiah said to them, "Tell your master, '
This is what the LORD says: Do not be afraid of what you have heard-those words with which the underlings of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me. Listen!
I am going to put a spirit in him so that when he hears a certain report, he will return to his own country, and there I will have him cut down with the sword.' "
Jeremiah 4:10 Then I said, "Ah, Sovereign LORD, how completely
you have deceived (nasha) this people and Jerusalem by saying, 'You will have peace,' when the sword is at our throats."
