2023.06.11 00:14 Jobber19 Mike Fisher video says a Dak Prescott extension can add another 20 million in cap room this season. Is this accurate?

I just watched a Mike Fisher video where he claims after speaking to cap experts a Dak Prescott extension could add another 20 million in cap room for this season.
However, I am suspicious as he did not break down how this is possible.
Is this real or is Fisher going off the deep end again?

2023.06.11 00:14 aknomnoms Luffah? Zucchini? Another kind of squash?

Luffah? Zucchini? Another kind of squash?
I planted what I thought were luffah seeds I got from our local seed library. They were black, oval/teardrop shape, maybe the size of a pinky fingernail.
Read that luffah had vine growth/tendrils, that male flowers appear first, that fruit arrives late in season and during hot weather. I haven’t seen tendrils, the first flower to bloom looks female, this is only 4-6 weeks of growth, and my normally warm climate (zone 10) has been mostly overcast and high of mid-60’s so far. We’ve had unusual sporadic rain and heavy dew the past few weeks. Makes me wonder if this is instead zucchini (although when I eat zucchini the seeds are much smaller, white, and pointy) or a different type of squash (although don’t know any with black seeds). Way outside chance it is growing from the direct trench compost I laid down here 3 months ago…
I’ve never grown either luffah or zucchini before, and I can’t find help online explaining the differences between the two plants or pics of what the young fruits look like/leaves to really compare to what’s growing in our side yard.
I just trimmed back about half the lower leaves (read that it was good for airflow and we have an issue with powdery mildew). If this is luffah, I want to let it get big and dry out on the plant, but if it’s zucchini, I want to keep an eye on it to pick them before they get too huge.
Thanks for any help/advice!

2023.06.11 00:13 Nautical_Phoenix I like Nightmare Dungeons far more than rifts- here is why.

“Given the opportunity, players will optimize the fun out of a game”; therefore, “One of the responsibilities of designers is to protect the player from themselves.”
Soren Johnson and Sid Meier, designers of Civilization
I've seen much ado about nightmare dungeons and how players are forced to backtrack here and there, taking a whole 30 seconds out of their perfectly optimized play time, to return a key or pull a lever. And don't even get them started on towns! All vendors aren't directly next to waypoints?? What a travesty! Can't believe blizzard makes a town look and feel like a town. How dare they create an RPG and attempt some semblance of immersion. It would be so much better if you just teleported everywhere you needed to with zero downtime so not a single second of precious grind time is wasted.
Ok, ok, now that I've got the snark off my chest lets get back to Nightmare Dungeons vs Diablo III's rifts. You see, I never loved rifts, mostly because they always felt like an afterthought. Those of you who played Diablo III day 1 will remember that endgame was non-existent and drop rates were abysmal thanks to the real money auction hall being shoved down our throats. Fast forward a fair bit of time- the RMAH gets removed, drop rates are adjusted, and an endgame is cobbled together. I say "cobbled" because it was clear it wasn't something that was considered pre-launch. After all, Blizzard had Diablo 1 and 2 as reference and those games didn't have an actual endgame, just difficulty levels and an endless grind to max level. So Blizzard created Adventure Mode and Rifts.
Now don't get me wrong, I'm not totally hating on rifts. I did them, I had my fun, they gave a decent sense of progression, but ultimately they were bland and uninspired. Bland because you just interact with an obelisk in town, open the rift, and play a time attack mini game of race the bar until completion. Uninspired because every level of a rift was just a random tile set from anywhere in the game and relying on a time trial for difficulty is kinda taking the easy way out in terms of designing difficulty. Time attacks aren't all bad, they definitely have their place in games, but leaning too heavily on them is uninspired (especially on a franchise known for dungeon crawling).
Nightmare dungeons, on the other hand, ask you to venture out into the beautifully crafted world to enter them which makes it feel more like a journey to a destination and less like town standing simulator (I know, players in a rush, why can't we teleport everywhere?). Each dungeon, whether an outdoor dungeon or a proper dungeon, has it's own unique (and gorgeous) tile set (yes, I know that two outdoor dungeons in Scosglen will have the same outdoor tiles). Objectives range from killing all enemies, collecting animus, pulling levers, grabbing keystones, finding a key in a chest, etc. Compared to the rifts "gotta go fast" objective every single time this change-up feels like a breath of fresh air. And no, I don't mind if I have to spend 30 whole seconds backtracking. I would much rather do that than have every single Nightmare Dungeon have the same objective of "go as fast as you possibly can and kill stuff and that's it".
And while I harp on the utter blandness of the "go fast" objective of Diablo III rifts, I appreciate that there is no timer at all in Nightmare Dungeons. If you're pushing a particularly higher tier, you can plan out how you're going to clear a difficult room. Do you kite the mobs out and kill them one by one? Or do you rush in and go for the mob that is buffing everything else. The lack of timer and thus the freedom to take your time has returned the dungeon crawler feel that the first two Diablo games so wonderfully had. I have no problem with the resurrection limit in place of the timer as this causes you to play carefully but allows you to take the time you need to complete the task.
Part of me wonders if Diablo III players have been conditioned to rush everywhere as fast as possible and optimize the fun out of the game because of Nephalem Rifts. Then again, when I remember the dual quote: “Given the opportunity, players will optimize the fun out of a game”; therefore, “One of the responsibilities of designers is to protect the player from themselves.” I can't help but think that this is just a natural course of action and sadly the Diablo III devs enabled the fun to be optimized out by creating rifts.
Listen, I'm not here to tell anyone they are wrong for liking Diablo III's rift design. As I stated, I had my fun with it, but the direction of Diablo IV's endgame (hell, the fact that they even HAVE a robust endgame at launch) is a major breath of fresh air. I don't feel rushed, I do feel immersed. Diablo feels like a dungeon crawler again, and that's all right with me.
TL;DR: Using time attacks as a crutch for difficulty is bland, reusing tile set as fillers is uninspired. Diablo IV has the dungeon crawler feel and I much prefer that to being rushed through content.

2023.06.11 00:13 Comfortable-Donut-88 Somebody stole my Wife’s wedding ring

Long story short, my wife is in an apartment complex where we rent out. She lives in a room amongst several other people—I am here in the States for work. We know it was a theft because the criminal shifted through the small box where the ring was (which was open when found) and left everything but the ring!
My question is, how should we go about this situation? I don’t have much experience with dealing with the police in this country.
p.s. mother fucker if you did this and you are reading this, we are waiting for you.

2023.06.11 00:13 lilspoon5 Feels like someone is twisting my nerve on left side and won’t let it go

I’m on gabapentin but usually only take at nite time. Anyone else feel this, like someone is twisting a nerve while also rubbing on it. I wish I could just stick bunch of needles in my face. It also goes down my forearm and my shin. I really just want to cry rn cus I’m tired of always having physical pain. There are some days I can push thru it and be strong but rn I feel so weak. I also can’t sleep, even tho sounds like it would be nice to just give my mind and body a break. I’ve been dealing with this for 15 years. Some days are better than others and manageable. It could be because I was at a hotel other nite and the bed and pillows were rock hard. Staying somewhere that isn’t my bed and with my own pillows has been a real struggle for over a decade now. What things do you all do to help when you are having a lot of pain?

2023.06.11 00:12 BinstonBirchill Cicero by Anthony Everett: A Review

Everett’s engaging and eminently readable account of Cicero and his times is full of details normally lost to history. Thanks to a huge amount of surviving letters to and from friends and politicians we get a picture of Cicero the man, the husband, the father, the lawyer and the politician.
“Cicero was always prone to excessive mood swings. He easily became overconfident when his affairs went well and a setback could drive him into an exaggerated depression.”
He had his strong suits and his weaknesses and one of the best things about this book is that, while Everett gives his own fairly pro-Cicero opinions, he also provides plenty of information for you to disagree with him. Cicero was a prideful man often ridiculed. No stranger to jabs himself, Cicero comes across as that uncle who can make you laugh with his first joke and leaves you cringing the rest of the night as he searches for more attention. His split from his wife, even if justified, was cold but had many admirable qualities and his love for his daughter was undeniable. In his grief, his way of coping was to produce his most philosophical work.
“I cannot easily say how useful I shall be to others: in any case, for my terrible sorrows and all the various troubles that assail me on every side no other consolation could be found.”
What sets Cicero apart, a picture Everett paints so well, is his commitment to oratory.
“A familiar Ciceronian theme reappears: the moral force of oratory. An important means of fostering virtue is through the art of explanation and persuasion —the ‘science of distinguishing the true from the false [and] publish to fellow citizens precepts conducive to their well-being and credit, so designed to win their acceptance.’ This is necessary, for it is abundantly clear to Cicero that actual legislation of states is not necessarily consistent with natural law. ‘The most foolish notion of all is the belief that everything is just which is found in the customs or laws of nations.’”
The events in the book focus on Cicero (Cicero is smiling from the grave) which may put him more in the spotlight than he truly was (end of smile) but Everett’s Cicero is more than just a biography, it is also a masterful account of his times. There are too many events to list here but for anyone looking for an account of the fall of the republic that is both detailed and comprehensible I think this serves nicely. Of course, your mileage may vary as this is packed full of information. For reference, I have read about 10 books that cover or run through this period, including some of the source material.
In the end Cicero fought to save the republic by unconstitutional means. And he oh so nearly pulled it off. That failure was his end, Mark Antony would have no mercy on the 63 year old Cicero. Living in the age of the fall of the republic, as ever, Cicero was given no relief.
“I am stopping here. Come here, soldier. There is nothing proper about what you are doing, but at least make sure you cut off my head properly.”
Cicero died on a hidden path to the sea. Nevertheless, Cicero is immortal. He lives on through his writings, which have influenced societies for over two-thousand years. For anyone interested in Cicero and his times I would certainly recommend this book.

2023.06.11 00:12 hooklove-blue I'm worried about an upcoming biopsy and don't know if I'm going to tell my family the results

A few weeks ago I found a lump on my side and for the most part, I've pretended it's not a big deal, but the closer I get to this doctor appointment, the more my brain whispers that it might be cancer.
For context, im early 30s, cancer does run in my family, but I also live with untreated bipolar 2 among other, smaller me tal illnesses, which can sometimes cause anxious or suicidal thoughts. I've struggled with it most of my life.
My concern is if this does turn out to be cancerous, I don't know that I would tell my family or receive treatment. Partially due to my struggle with suicide and intrusive thoughts, but also, I'm worried about money. I worry that, either I fight and live and am buried in medical debt (even with insurance) or I fight and die and my family is saddled with that debt. I also don't want them to have to deal with the stress of me going through treatment.
Ultimately, they are my only concern. If it's not cancer, great; nothing changes. If it is, I'm content. I've had a pretty cool life and have been "over it" for some time. My mind feels in a good place about the inevitability of my passing in any way. I have no kids, two LD partners (consentual polyamory), but no one that I have built a life withi have no property in my name- nothing. No one relies on me except me. I've spent my adult life moving from place to place, living different experiences (good and bad) and developing from them.
There's no real point here, I guess. Just needed to get this out of my head and for someone to know, if I do have an end in sight, that I'm good. I'm as happy as I can be with such a damaged brain.

2023.06.11 00:11 Personal-Elevator-88 Undergrad wondering if a T-14 law school with minimal debt is in the cards

Hi everyone,
Sorry in advance for the long post. TL;DR at the end!
I am an undergrad sophomore at a HYS school (I only include this wondering if this would give me a boost in law school applications, not to brag LOL). I currently have a 3.5 GPA from my last 2 years of college because of a disability that was finally diagnosed a year ago that I am still struggling to get treatment/accomodations for, depression, family problems, and forcing myself to do a difficult STEM major. I am planning on taking a year off to work, travel, and reevaluate my life choices before returning to finish my last 2 years of undergrad and hopefully switch majors and boost my GPA. Still, I don't think I'll be able to raise it beyond a 3.7, and that's being generous.
I love the humanities and social sciences, and have toyed with the idea of going to law school on and off and getting a JD PhD, as I love both humanities research and the prospect of doing public interest law and protecting marginalized people and my own communities which are under attack. However, I refuse to take on a crippling amount of debt. I am graduating undergrad debt-free, planning to do a one-year masters program (paid off by myself), and could fairly easily find a nicely paying corporate job given my school's name / resources and past internship experience.
I would only go to law school if I get into a top law school with a large scholarship. I am also okay with working for some time, earning a lumpsum of money, and reevaluating whether I want to go to law school some years down the line.
My question is, is it possible for me to get into a top law school with minimal debt given this GPA (maybe less than 20-30k total)? Am I better off just earning good money in corporate America and giving up on the work I would find much more fulfilling? And do people often go to law school in their late 20s or 30s?
TL;DR I am an undergrad sophomore at one of HYS with a 3.5 GPA because of disability/mental health issues. Could potentially raise to 3.65/3.7 but not much higher. I want to know if a top law school with minimal debt is still a possibility for me so I can decide whether to dedicate energy towards that or towards getting a well-paying career right after college. Or if there is a way to do both and keep both options open for myself?

2023.06.11 00:11 Lordofthe305 CPWA Deception

CPWA Deception
The show opens with a moment of silence and a ten-bell salute for The late Iron Sheik.
The Iron Sheik 1942-2023

We open with a video package highlighting Shelton Jordan winning the CPWA World Heavyweight Championship and "The Number One Pick" LeJuan Jones scheming to regain the gold. We then see highlights of Keith Yang's matches and the return of Logan Lemming. We are then shown highlights of the Super Junior Carnival tournament, more specifically, Rory Irvine and "The Korean Idol" Han Sang-Hoon's path to the finals. The video package ends with slowed-down clips of Keith Yang, Logan Lemming, LeJuan Jones, and Shelton Jordan, who raises the CPWA World Heavyweight Championship over his head.
Sticky Fingaz's "Man Up" plays in the arena as we see pyro go off for a few seconds, followed by cheering from the crowd.
Brian Kinsley: We welcome to CPWA Annihilation! We are coming to you live from Calgary, Alberta, Canada! Brian Kinsley along with Anthony Harris and Sir Samuel Stewart, we have an action-packed pay-per-view that includes six championship matches, including the CPWA World Heavyweight Championship as Shelton Jordan defends his title against Keith Yang, Logan Lemming, and "The Number One Pick" LeJuan Jones.
Anthony Harris: Plus, we have the finals of the Super Junior Carnival tournament. I can't wait for that to go down.
Sir Samuel Stewart: It's definitely going to be a thriller of an event, and I think we may see some new champions.
Brian Kinsley: Let's get right to the action.
We cut to the ring.
Announcer: The following contest is scheduled for...
Crowd: ONE FALL!
Leo Arnaud's "Bulger's Dream" plays in the arena
Announcer: Introducing first, representing The Olympians, the team of Chip Day, Miles Orozco, and Devon Gatlin-Tyson.
Brian Kinsley: Devon Gatlin-Tyson looked like a would-be favorite to win the Super Junior Carnival tournament, but came up short against "The Korean Idol" Han Sang-Hoon in the semifinals.
Anthony Harris: Give Chip Day and Miles Orozco credit for helping DGT with those victories up to that point. I still believe he's going to be CPWA Cruiserweight Champion one day.
80s Synth Track Nightscapes plays in the arena.
Announcer: And their opponents, introducing first, from Los Angeles, the team of Mark Starr and Ricky Vice, StarrVice!
Brian Kinsley: Mark Starr and Ricky Vice competed in the Super Junior Carnival tournament, but it would be Ricky Vice who would face Devon Gatlin-Tyson in the quarterfinals and would lose thanks to the interference of the aforementioned Chip Day and Miles Orozco.
Sir Samuel Stewart: It really hurt Ricky's chances, but he wasn't the only one affected by The Olympians' number game.
M.O.P.'s "Fly N***a Hill F***a" plays in the arena.
Announcer: Their tag team partner, from Brooklyn, New York, he is one-half of the CPWA Cruiserweight Tag Team Champions, "The Hi-Fli Kid," Jerome Evans.

Brian Kinsley: "The Hi-Fli Kid" took on Devon Gatlin-Tyson in the first round of the Super Junior Carnival tournament and while it was a tremendous match, it would be soured by the interference of Day and Orozco.
Anthony Harris: Best believe all three competitors want some payback on Chip, Orozco, and DGT. Don't get it twisted, however, StarrVice may be teaming up with "The Hi-Fli Kid," but they also got their eyes on regaining the CPWA Cruiserweight Tag Team Championships.
Match 1: The Olympians (Chip Day, Miles Orozco, and Devon Gatlin-Tyson) vs. StarrVice (Mark Starr and Ricky Vice) and "The Hi-Fli Kid" Jerome Evans
You would think that an opening match like this one would get the crowd hyped for the rest of the event, but it felt underwhelming at times. While the story here was StarrVice and "The Hi-Fli Kid" looking to get a measure of revenge on Chip Day and Miles Orozco, neither competitor was looking sharp in the ring. Devon Gatlin-Tyson carried much of the match for his team, which was the only highlight for the Olympians. The action then became a spotfest, leading toward the end of the match, where DGT nailed Mark Starr with a Split-Second DDT to get the win for his team.
2 out of 5 stars.
We cut to backstage and we see Kevin Meyers interviewing CPWA World Heavyweight Champion Shelton Jordan. Shelton says that he's tired of LeJuan Jones's mind games and wants to put him away for good. He also says that he welcomes a challenge from Logan Lemming and Keith Yang, both of whom he will also defeat tonight.
We return back to the ring.
Announcer: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the CPWA Television Championship.
Nu Breed's "Florida" plays in the arena
Announcer: Introducing first, accompanied by his alligator Sunshine, from the Sunshine State, he is the CPWA Television Champion, "Florida Man" Gary Strange
Brian Kinsley: The last time "Florida Man" Gary Strange held an open challenge for the CPWA Television Championship, he lost to The Mortician.
Sir Samuel Stewart: Only for him to regain it back a few days ago on Octane.
Anthony Harris: No thanks to Pretty Boy, who will defend the CPWA Hardcore Championship against The Mortician later on tonight.
Gary Strange enters the ring and takes the mic as Nu Breed's "Florida" stops playing.
Gary Strange: Well well well, Florida Man holds CPWA gold once again and looking to take on any challengers brave enough to challenge me. Come on, don't be shy. I'm ready for ya.
Yoshida Brothers' "Storm" plays in the arena.
Announcer: Introducing first, from Kagoshima, Japan, he is Kenshiro Ishii.
Brian Kinsley: We haven't seen Kenshiro Ishii since High$takes and he looks more than ready to bring the fight.
Anthony Harris: Brotha looks jacked and he knows he means business.
Tego Calderon's "Mil Cosas" plays in the arena
Announcer: Finally, from San Juan, Puerto Rico, he is Ramon Vega!
Brian Kinsley: The last time we saw Ramon Vega, was back in January when he was teaming up with his brother Raymundo.
Sir Samuel Stewart: He took some time off to compete in his native Puerto Rico, but now he's back and looking to win some gold.
Match 2: CPWA Television Championship: "Florida Man" Gary Strange vs. Kenshiro Ishii vs. Ramon Vega
A solid yet rough-around-the-edges kind of match. There was lots of brawling from all three competitors, along with some technical wrestling from Ramon. It looked like Ramon Vega was close to winning the CPWA Television Championship, but "Florida Man" managed to prevent the three count from occurring. Gary Strange continued fighting back, leading to him hitting a WTF (Welcome To Florida) on Vega to get the three count and to retain the CPWA Television Championship.
3 out of 5 stars
We cut to the locker room area and we see "The Number One Pick" LeJuan Jones discussing strategy with Brother Julius about how to deal with Shelton Jordan, Keith Yang, and possibly Logan Lemming. Brother Julius tells LeJuan to focus more on his match and that he will deal with the other competitors tonight. LeJuan nods and Brother Julius sets out to put his plans in motion.
We return back to the ring.
Announcer: The following contest is scheduled for one fall with a 25-minute time limit.
Johann Sebastian Bach's Air on G String plays in the arena.
Announcer: Introducing first, from the posh hills of the Hamptons, she is Priscilla Pierce.
Brian Kinsley: Priscilla Pierce won big a few days ago on Octane in tag team action with help from "The Dominican She-Devil," Ivy Fernandez.
Sir Samuel Stewart: Priscilla Pierce looks to be on the fast track to challenging for the CPWA Women's International Championship.
DaniLeigh Ft. Fivio Foreign "Dominican Mami" plays in the arena.
Announcer: And her tag team partner, from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, she is "The Dominican She-Devil" Ivy Fernandez
Brian Kinsley: "The Dominican She-Devil" may have won gold in Puerto Rico, but word has it that she may challenge for the CPWA Women's Championship.
Sir Samuel Stewart: It could be a possibility, but let's see what happens.
GACKT's "Redemption" plays in the arena
Announcer: Introducing first, from Osaka, Japan, she is the CPWA Women's International Champion, Shiori Yoshimura.
Brian Kinsley: Shiori Yoshimura gained a victory over Priscilla Pierce two weeks ago on Octane, but lost in tag team action a few days ago. She's looking to get a measure of revenge.
Anthony Harris: Shiori's going to be a fighting champion for CPWA, and I know she's got to be fuming after that loss.
Estrada de Estrela plays in the arena
Announcer: Her tag team partner, from Sao Paulo, Brazil, she is the CPWA Women's Champion, Cristina Moreira.
Brian Kinsley: Cristina Moreira has been kept busy ever since winning the CPWA Women's Championship. She's been on a media whirlwind in her native Brazil, promoting CPWA.
Anthony Harris: I would love to do a show in Brazil. To all our Brazilian fans out there, CPWA sees you!
Match 3: Shiori Yoshimura and Cristina Moreira vs. Priscilla Pierce and "The Dominican She-Devil" Ivy Fernandez
Another solid match that saw some technical wrestling on display. While Cristina, Priscilla, and "The Dominican She-Devil" appear to be improving with their technical wrestling skills, Shiori was leagues ahead of them. Shiori controlled much of the match, even going as far as to utilize some power attacks. The match ended with Shiori hitting a Spinning Bison Bomb on Priscilla to get the win.
3 out of 5 stars.
We cut to backstage and we see Kimberly Reynolds interviewing Rory Irvine. Rory says that nobody believed in him when he decided to enter the Super Junior Carnival tournament and that he could go all the way. Rory says that he's made believers out of those who have followed his journey through the tournament and knows that he is going to become the inaugural Super Junior Carnival Tournament winner and challenge for the CPWA Cruiserweight Championship.
We return back to the ring.
Announcer: The following contest is scheduled for one fall with a 25-minute time limit.
Blood Brothers' "Replica" plays in the arena
Announcer: Introducing first, representing The Commonwealth, the team of Owen Benoit-Jericho and the CPWA Cruiserweight Champion Kelly Lawton!
Brian Kinsley: Both Owen Benoit-Jericho and Kelly Lawton entered the Super Junior Carnival tournament and while OBJ managed to go further than Lawton, neither one was able to reach the grand finals.
Sir Samuel Stewart: I know Kelly Lawton has to be feeling some of type way about that loss. Let's hope he can redeem himself should Rory Irvine win the whole thing.
Franz Ferdinand's "Take Me Out" plays in the arena.
Announcer: And their opponents, from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the team of Steve and Adam, the Odenkirks!
Brian Kinsley: Much like OBJ and Lawton, Steve and Adam Odenkirk also competed in the Super Junior Carnival tournament. Steve managed to reach the quarterfinals, while younger brother Adam lost in the first round.
Anthony Harris: The Odenkirk brothers look like they got something to prove and they're not looking to hold back anything.
Match 4: The Commonwealth (Kelly Lawton and Owen Benoit-Jericho) vs. The Odenkirks (Steve and Adam Odenkirk)
A solid tag team match that had a little something of everything: Technical wrestling, brawling, MMA, and high-flying. It was an evenly fought match until the Commonwealth uses underhanded tactics to keep the advantage in their favor, isolating Adam from Steve. Anytime Adam would tag in Steve, the referee did not see it. Eventually, Steve got the tag and was a house of fire, knocking down Lawton and OBJ. Steve looked to have the match won with a 450 Splash but "The Iron Maiden" Mary Addams interfered on behalf of the Commonwealth, pushing Steve off the top rope. This allowed Lawton to hit the Outback Cutter on Steve to get the win for his team.
4 out of 5 stars.
We get a one-minute video package hyping up Pretty Boy and his path of destruction. The hype package ends and we return back to the ring.
Announcer: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the CPWA Hardcore Championship.
An organ cover to Runaway Casket plays in the arena.
Announcer: Introducing first, from Resting Peace Funeral Home, he is The Mortician!
Brian Kinsley: The Mortician lost the CPWA Television Championship, thanks to Pretty Boy, who maniacally beat the living daylights out of him.
Sir Samuel Stewart: The Mortician knows what it takes to win the CPWA Hardcore Championship, but against Pretty Boy, I don't know.
The arena lights go out and we hear an ominous female voice.
Ominous Female Voice: Pretty Boy...oh Pretty Boy...punish...them...all!
Glitter Wasteland's "Cold War (Nightcrawler Remix)" plays in the arena as blue and red lighting fill the arena.
Announcer: And his opponent, he is the CPWA Hardcore Champion Pretty Boy!
Brian Kinsley: Pretty Boy has been on a rampage since winning the CPWA Hardcore Championship, and it doesn't seem to be slowing down any time soon.
Anthony Harris: That man is cold-hearted. I don't think I've ever seen him blink once.
Match 5: CPWA Hardcore Championship: Pretty Boy (c) vs. The Mortician
If you wanted a balls-to-the-wall, knock-down, drag-out hardcore match, this one was it! The Mortician and Pretty Boy wasted no time beating the living hell out of each other, but Pretty Boy gained the upper hand. Pretty Boy threw the Mortician around like a rag doll at times, followed by beating him with clotheslines and rainmakers. The Mortician started to fight back, using steel chairs, lead pipes, and even the ring bell on Pretty Boy. The Mortician looked to have made some dents in Pretty Boy, causing him to bleed, but it only made Pretty Boy aggressive as he battered the Mortician, leading to a chokeslam and Tombstone Piledriver for the win.
4 out of 5 stars.
After the match, Pretty Boy continued beating the Mortician. Suddenly, Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song" (Elliot Loud version) plays in the arena
Brian Kinsley: IT'S MANGOD!!!
Mangod rushed the ring and started beating up Pretty Boy, causing him to flee. Mangod then headbutts the turnbuckles as the crowd cheers wildly. Mangod helps the Mortician to his feet, raising his hand to the crowd's approval.
***Intermission***
We cut back from intermission and we see Brother Julius walking down a hallway. He stops when Monroe Storm approaches him. Monroe tells Brother Julius that Logan Lemming has his sights on the CPWA World Heavyweight Championship as well and will stop at nothing to get it. Brother Julius warns Monroe that Logan better not cross "The Number One Pick" or he knows what's good for him. Monroe scoffs and walks away. Brother Julius shakes his head and does the same.
we return back to the ring.
Announcer: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the CPWA International Championship.
The Wellerman plays in the arena
Announcer: Introducing first, representing The Commonwealth, from Auckland, New Zealand, Jason Black
Brian Kinsley: We haven't seen Jason Black in a long time, and that's because he's been touring between Japan and his native New Zealand.
Sir Samuel Stewart: The Kiwi looks like he's poised to bring home some gold to The Commonwealth.
The March of Death theme plays in the arena.
Announcer: Next, from Guadalajara, Mexico, this is El Colibri
Brian Kinsley: El Colibri was one of the favorites to win the Super Junior Carnival, but it wasn't meant to be as he lost in the first round to "The Korean Idol" Han Sang-Hoon.
Anthony Harris: It was quite a shock, but let's see if he can rebound and get back to his winning ways.
Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth's "The Creator" plays in the arena.
Announcer: Finally, from Miami, Florida, he is the CPWA International Champion, Deron "Ron" Jordan.
Brian Kinsley: Deron "Ron" Jordan has been helping his brothers in their feud against "The Number One Pick" LeJuan Jones, but here, he's looking to defend his CPWA International Championship.
Anthony Harris: Let's hope he can retain it to keep more gold in the family.
Match 6: CPWA International Championship: Deron "Ron" Jordan (c) vs. Jason Black vs. El Colibri
This match wasn't good, but it certainly wasn't bad either. It was all over the place at times as there were some brawling mixed with some high-flying from Ron and El Colibri. Jason Black had control of the match, beating down El Colibri, but Ron prevented any chance of a three-count from happening. Both Ron and El Colibri double-teamed Jason Black, but they would turn their attention to attacking each other. El Colibri had Ron in the La Mistica, but Jason Black broke the hold. With Ron out of the way, this allowed Jason to hit the Blackout on El Colibri for the win and become the new CPWA International Champion.
2 out of 5 stars.
We get a one-minute video package hyping up The Hart Sisters (Crystal and Tracy) and their dominance over the Women's Tag Team Division. The hype package ends and we return back to the ring.

Eminem's "Venom" plays in the arena.
Announcer: And their opponents, they are the CPWA Women's Tag Team Champions, Carnage Ayano and La Venena.
Brian Kinsley: Carnage Ayano and La Venena are a dangerous combination of Japanese Strong Style wrestling and Mexican Lucha Libre wrestling.
Anthony Harris: These ladies are psychotic in the ring. I've seen their matches in Japan and Mexico, so I know what they can do.
Match 7: CPWA Women's Tag Team Championship: La Venena and Carnage Ayano (c) vs. The Hart Sisters (Crystal and Tracy)
A somewhat decent match that had some great moments but at times, it was a botchfest, which was unusual for both teams. The Hart Sisters had control of the match, but Venena and Ayano started making a comeback. Crystal Hart managed to win the match for her team, placing Ayano in a sharpshooter to give her team victory and regain the CPWA Women's Tag Team Championship.
2 out of 5 stars.

Announcer: Finally, from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, they are the CPWA Tag Team Champions, William and Jake, the Odenkirks!
Match 8: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match for the CPWA Tag Team Championship: The Odenkirks (William and Jake) (c) vs. Ryota and Daigo Yoshimura vs. The Newton Boys (Roy and Zechariah)
This was a chaotic match with tons of high spots and lots of brawling. At one point in the match, Jake Odenkirk and Zechariah Newton climbed atop the ladder and beat each other with forearms and fists, leading to both men crashing through a table. This was followed up by a 450 Frog Splash combo from Daigo Yoshimura. Roy Newton saw an opportunity to reach for the gold, only for Ryota Yoshimura to powerbomb him off the ladder and onto some chairs. Unbeknownst to Ryota, William climbed atop the ladder and retrieved the CPWA Tag Team Championships.
2 out of 5 stars.

We get a three-minute hype package about the Super Junior Carnival tournament, along with highlights featuring Rory Irvine and "The Korean Idol" Han Sang-Hoon. The hype package ends with clips of Rory Irvine and Han Sang-Hoon staring at each other.
We cut back to the ring.
Announcer: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is the grand finals of the CPWA Super Junior Carnival Tournament.
The O'Reillys and Paddyhats' "Barrels of Whiskey" plays in the arena.
Announcer: Introducing first, from Dublin, Ireland, he is Rory Irvine.
Brian Kinsley: If you were to tell anyone that a young, plucky, yet scrappy wrestler from the Emerald Isle would find himself in the grand finals of the Super Junior Carnival Tournament, after going through numerous trials and battles, no one would've believed it, but here we are.
Sir Samuel Stewart: Young Rory Irvine has been waiting for such an opportunity and he's going to make the best of it.
Rain's "It's Raining" begins to play in the arena
Announcer: And his opponent, from Seoul, South Korea, he is one half of the CPWA Cruiserweight Tag Team Champions, "The Korean Idol" Han Sang-Hoon!
Brian Kinsley: "The Korean Idol" Han Sang-Hoon blazed a path of his own throughout the Super Junior Carnival Tournament, defeating the likes of El Colibri, Steve Odenkirk, and Devon Gatlin-Tyson. Could he win it all?
Anthony Harris: He may, but also keep in mind that he's also CPWA Cruiserweight Tag Team Champion with "The Hi-Fli Kid" Jerome Evans. How will that all turnout?
Match 9: CPWA Super Junior Carnival Tournament: Finals: Rory Irvine vs. "The Korean Idol" Han Sang-Hoon
This match was the highlight of the event and the best match overall. Rory had the early advantage, but "The Korean Idol" came fighting back. Rory hit the Celtic Crucifix Drop on Han, only to get a 2 count. Rory look to put the match away but Kelly Lawton, Owen Benoit-Jericho, and Mary Addams provided distractions toward the referee and jumped Rory. Han would get himself involved, chasing off Lawton, Addams, and OBJ, only to be met with a superkick from Chip Day and Miles Orozco, plus a split-second DDT from Devon Gatlin-Tyson. "The Hi-Fli Kid" Jerome Evans, along with StarrVice rushed to the ring and fought The Olympians. It was complete chaos as everyone began fighting on the outside. Rory went for the Celtic Crucifix Drop, only for Han to reverse it into a falcon arrow, leading to the K-Pop Drop for the victory becoming the inaugural CPWA Super Junior Carnival Tournament winner.
4 out of 5 stars.
After the match, Han Sang-Hoon extended his hand to Rory for a handshake. Rory accepted the handshake as both competitors celebrated together. Although Han won the tournament, the crowd cheered loudly for Rory, chanting his name.
We get a four-minute hype package featuring Shelton Jordan, Keith Yang, Logan Lemming, and "The Number One Pick" LeJuan Jones. The hype package ends and we return back to the ring.

Motley Crue's "Shout At The Devil" plays in the arena.
Announcer: His tag team partner, accompanied to the ring by Monroe Storm, from Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, he is Logan Lemming.
The Roots' "Do You Want More" plays in the arena.
Announcer: And their opponents, introducing first, representing The Jordan family, from Miami, Florida, he is the CPWA World Heavyweight Champion, Shelton Jordan.
Match 10: CPWA World Heavyweight Championship: Shelton Jordan (c) vs. Keith Yang vs. "The Number One Pick" LeJuan Jones vs. Logan Lemming
There was lots of action going on in this fatal four-way. Everyone seemed evenly matched at first, but Logan Lemming took control of the match, suplexing anyone that got in his way. Not to be outdone, Shelton Jordan performed several Exploder Suplexes on each of his opponents. Although Keith Yang got in some offense, he would be taken out by Ivan Markov. This allowed Logan Lemming and LeJuan to double-team Shelton Jordan. It looked like the double team was working, but both competitors weren't going to allow the other to get the pin. This led to Logan and LeJuan fighting each other. Logan was about to hit LeJuan with Logan's Run, but the Soldiers of Misfortune (General Wade and Guerrilla God) prevented that from happening, saving LeJuan from any harm. The Soldiers of Misfortune double power-bombed Logan and then Shelton, leading to LeJuan to hit a Game Winner on both Logan and Shelton to get the win and regain the CPWA World Heavyweight Championship.
4 out of 5 stars.
LeJuan Jones is presented with the CPWA World Heavyweight Championship as the pyro goes off and the crowd jeers and boos. LeJuan Jones and Brother Julius celebrate as Deception fades to black.

2023.06.11 00:11 knackersboll Why don't people I [M24] ask out simply say 'no' when I ask them out?

This is something that, not gonna lie, consumes me [M24] way too much. For the past three years, I must have asked out some ten girls for dates. They range from women who I've been good friends for some time to acquaintances. Bar one (an acquaintance, curiously), all of them just left me hanging in there with half answers instead of just saying a clear no. It's not that I feel entitled to an answer, I just find it puzzling. They generally like the idea and say stuff like "yeah, that would be fun!", but when it's time to actually plan stuff, they'll either drop down the "excitement", cancel the plans on the same day or just straight up not answer.
Do they just don't care about me? Do they like the attention? Are they afraid of my reaction, given all the examples we have of men who lash out when things don't go their way? I'm curious to know if any other people have the same frustrating experience as me. A direct 'no' makes me feel much more respected than this.

2023.06.11 00:11 GrovelingVormund It's becoming more difficult again.

I'm here alone once again. While my roommate and his girlfriend headoff to attend a wedding. I'd be a liar to say that the first thing crossing my mind wasn't you.
I sat here, thinking of when we were younger. Stuck in a beautiful honeymoon phase that felt like it lasted forever while we were in each other's arms. All the times you used to doll up just for me out of your own desire to make me speechless every damn time.
I imagined how you would dress up. What you would wear to such a special occasion. How you would like walking down the red carpet I wish to be rolled out just for you. My eyes glued to you alone as the rest of the world ceases to exist. A beautiful, rosy cheeked little shy yet excited smile on your face as you loving stared right back at me.
I nearly broke out in tears once again as I feel my heart grow heavier and heavier recently by the day. I wish a positive change between us finally happened already. Cause this pain is sincerely worse than anything else in life can throw at me. It genuinely hurts my chest. Like it's caving in on itself as I choke back tears.
I'm happy, I've been taking care of myself. I've been making achievment after achievment. I won't lie, I've neglected some things still. I've made choices I myself wasn't comfortable with, but needed to do so that way I can learn and figure myself out. What I want, my boundaries, and being humble. Training my brain and memory every single day. Im very proud of myself.
But, my heart is miserable. I've numbed it out so that way I can stand by what it is you want. To give the respect of you wanting space. Yet I can't help but think of other people I've helped. They made that choice as well. But, not once did they ever get their s/o back.
The shadows and gripping hands of fear has bren scratching at me. I'm trying to numb my heart out again. Pushing down this deep desire and want for you to be in my arms.
I have to take care of everything first. I have to remind myself of your words when we last spoke. I will be okay.
But fucking god damn it all to hell I fucking miss ya lil sea lass.

2023.06.11 00:11 Digaduga Is a Marriott AF credit card worth it if booking one stay a year?

I'd like some perspective on Marriott credit cards and if they're worth paying an annual fee if I'm only going to stay one time a year around summer time. These stays may often be downtown right next to the events. Hopefully I can make that stay 5 consecutive nights to only pay for 4 nights.
I get that keeper cards kind of pay for themselves but the 35k bonus free night worries me because I've seen rooms reach 50k+ points which means that would make the free night points unusable. However the higher annual fee cards can probably cover this.
I'm a noob so I'll break down my thoughts on the Marriot cards at first glance and also share what cards I have and plan to apply for.
Marriott Card Thoughts: 1. Chase Boundless 95AF - Probably could be super attractive except for being worried about the 35k points not covering a free night. 2. AMEX Business 125AF - Maybe I'm missing something but looks a little better because of the gold status and 7% standard room rate discount? Still worried about the 35k free night being too low 3. AMEX Bevy 250AF - More than I want to spend on an annual fee to be honest but now the free night is 50k points which is good at least. 4. AMEX Brilliant 650AF - Ouch. I don't think I'd be happy with myself paying this kind of annual fee but 85k free nights and plat status I guess.
Is a Marriott AF credit card worth it if booking one stay a year?
Cards I own: 1. Wells Fargo Propel (Soon to be Autograph I think) 2. Chase Sapphire Preferred 3. BILT
Cards I'm Planning For: 1. Chase Freedom Flex/Unlimited 2. Chase Ink Cash

After resetting I know remember why I preferred using this one on the right wing than the POTW CF version 🫠this is a sneaky machine
Even those stat wise compared to the CF POTW Salah this doesn't seem as good in certain aspects, his on and off the ball movements are so damn good, I can't believe I put him down for so long even though I racked up so many matches with him in the past. The roaming flank playstyle really is perfect for him

2023.06.11 00:10 Ok_Consideration_142 I just got an idea for a story that i think would be a little controversial

Its about this old black american man who was scientist and is really good at drawing, i havent decided for a name yet but i'm going for the placeholder name of "Joseph"
the story starts with him in his death bed surrounded by his children and grandchildren its all emotional and stuff then he dies and finds himself in heaven and gets a chance to live another life by god and he choses to be reborn in world similar to earth but a little different with his 20 year old body
but upon getting there he finds himself laying on some grass with a little girl next to him, the girl leads him to her village and then he finds out he dosent understand thier launguage, because of that and his different look some people were scared and very curious about him because they never saw someone with black skin before and eventually he gets captured by some people and put into a room and tries to communinate that hes just a human but fails
so he uses a rock to carve the face of the little girl that led him to the village and they see that hes not some kind of unknown creature with not much intelligence, he tries to teach his launguage alongside with him learning thier launguage, the people there start liking him and they let him live there, with his wisdom and education he become like a doctor there and a teacher
but after staying some years there he wants to see the outside world and because of his differenc from other people he may not be very welcome because of his differences, after some plot stuff and world building stuff he finds out about this dangerous creature with four legs with the placeholder name of "ground dragons" from the name you can guess its just a big lizard that really love to reproduce so there are many kinds of them, some dangerous and some not so dangerous, so theres a group of hunters that get registered to some ground dragon killing club or something, but killing them is a really good source of income and after joseph finds that out he tries to join but some conflict happen and stuff and he becomes a ground dragon hunter and maybe one of the best
now, since most of the story is gonna be about his differences like him being black, and american, and since i'm not black or american i feel like it may seem racist to make him seem like an animal to those people who never saw a black person before, i just want the story to be like about how humans are so quick to make something that is different as the bad thing and about this cool guy killing cool looking lizards
so, if i continue writing about this would it be problematic? if i ever happen to publish it as a book kind of unlikely but i wouldnt want it to be the reason i lose my job or something

2023.06.11 00:10 Recent_Bee1035 Looking for blurb advice.

I'm pretty bad at blurbs, I'd appreciate any criticism so I can improve it! My book is a SFR book.
I was content governing the small piece of my father's empire I had claimed until I was summoned as my father's intermediary to a small planet that I had only heard of in tales. Tales from the tongue of the only human I had counted as a friend for many years, who was exploring the endless frontier of space with his love and searching for his home planet.
The first time I saw Michael, hours after we had finally found Earth, I knew that we were meant for each other. His eyes, so closed off to others, were opaque for me. I could see the pain that lived deep in his heart, and tried my best to make it better. But some things you can only do for yourself. I brought him among my people, hoping they would help him as they had helped me, but it only ended in more pain as his secrets drove him away from me.
I did my duty to my people, but I couldn't rid my thoughts of the human that I was so engrossed with. When he came back to me, he had changed, and we had no secrets between us. We were finally whole.
Note: This book has scenes of off-page parental abuse and parentification that may be disturbing to some readers.

2023.06.11 00:10 WhatsMyAgeAgainXXX Can't help but to feel insecure.

I just have a hard time grasping why anyone would want to be with me. Nobody is with me, and I don't blame them. I feel like the only time a guy would want to date me is if he couldn't find anyone else. There's beautiful big women, and I didn't inherit any good traits. I'm lazy, depressed and full of anxiety. I constantly compare myself to my mom and beautiful sister. Since men want them, men treat them like gold and celebrities. I have tons of stories, guys pointing, guys gawking... married men, single men and men in committed relationships act really creepy.
I do online dating, and these men don't actually want me they just tell me everything to get laid. I get invited to their house, of course I don't take up the offer. It's so unsafe. Then they come with the insults when I reject them. Not that I care, it's just the principle of it. Men, family and friends treat me differently. I once thought this man was coming up to talk to me, but he was asking me about my mom. Telling me how beautiful she was, I remember the two times a man came up to me. But it was when I was thinner. But they get that many men coming up to them every hour.
They get faster service in stores, people help them more. My sister was constantly late to work, took hour breaks and the men in the office laughed about it. She's pretty. If I were to do that, I would've been fired. People are surprised we are related. Don't get me started on my friends, that's a whole other subject of it's own. My sister modeled, if you wanted to find someone who looked like her you'd have to look in models. Not someone average. I don't know how I got the bad genes. She gets doctors, bandmates, football players. She's married to one now. He's an amazing man. I grew up being told to look a certain way otherwise men would look at me and be worried to take me on a date because I eat more and would cost more money. And it looks like I don't take care of myself. I've never had a man focus on me, he's always looking and smiling at other women. But it's something you have to deal with being obese right? Haha.
I've tried going for men around my size, but they are so judgemental or they act like they settled for a big woman cause they are big. Are men genuinely attracted to big women? Besides thinking they make up for it with their personality? Cause I haven't seen it. I've been called beautiful by men before, but it always follows up with them trying to get laid.
I see beautiful women on tik tok and men doting over them, some are married.. some are in committed relationships leaving creepy ass comments. Makes me leary to even get into a relationship, these guys girlfriends are gorgeous. I've had one bf, he would stare at other women while we were out. I don't even think he looked at me. Blamed it on his ADHD, I also have ADHD but honestly didn't give a shit about other men. I'm bad with my money, I still live at home. I'm 26 and don't have my life together. But my friends are still at home as well, it's a difficult time where everything is becoming not affordable.
It's crazy how easy life is when you are attractive. It's night and day, I get to see it when I'm with them. My mom gets noticed multiple times a day, men stare.
But they work hard for it right? By being fit? Those are my mom's exact words. That the reason why my friends are always noticed and I'm not is because they work hard for it by staying fit.

We are currently looking for a non SAM Melee DPS. All we ask is you have a good attitude/chill vibes and a willingness to learn. LGBTQIA+ friendly!
We have been together since the beginning of Endwalker and cleared the first tier. We meet twice a week Monday and Tuesday 9-11 EST. We are a very laid back group that like to learn and clear at our own pace.
We did not end up clearing last tier as people kept leaving for various reasons, but we got up to FF in P8S before we stopped. The expectation is to clear the tier but at a casual pace as we all have personal lives and all that.
Off nights do happen sometimes where we run treasure maps or do mount runs.

2023.06.11 00:10 unlimitedracksss London & Toronto Diaspora

I’ve lived and have relatives in both places and both are demographically similar with the Somali population having a substantial impact on both cities urban culture. One could also say these are the two “biggest” cities Somalis settled in. Saw a comment here recently saying toronto has 25,000 Somalis but there are single neighborhoods in toronto alone that have more than 25,000. just curious regarding which city had a larger somali population compared to the city size (London is larger than toronto overall)

2023.06.11 00:10 Minute-Mine-9553 47 Meters Down: Uncaged

47 Meters Down: Uncaged (2019)
The movie is about high school teens who explore an underwater cave that is occupied by a dangerous shark they are unaware of. The cave collapses and blocks their exit and the teens are tasked with trying to get out alive— they have to fight a battle between a shark, oxygen supply, and all around the dangers of the ocean .
So I don’t know the general consensus on this movie but me personally it’s like one of my favorite all time thrillers (more specifically shark movie). I don’t get scared easily and this movie left my hands shaking I felt like i was 13 again it was crazy. I love this movie it’s so good. You could call the jumpscares cheesy but the shark design and them in general still got me everytime even though I knew it was coming. There was a specific jumpscare early in the movie that got me GOOD but I won’t go into detail. All around this movie is great so if you have a big fear of sharks (in movies, i know sharks in real life are like puppies if not angered) and the deep ocean with a tad of claustrophobia this movie is PERFECT for you. Love this movie please check it out if you get the chance :)

2023.06.11 00:10 DieDobby They all leave me eventually.

I really thought I had found new friends. I barely dared to hope for it and to hope to finally have someone to talk to again, but I did, and now I'm down on the ground again.
I guess it's the story of my life that after a few weeks people grow bored and annoyed of me and leave. Or leave the second I for once do not jump around hyperactively but think alot instead or seem sad. I recently (6 days ago) got diagnosed with ADHD and I'm definitely still mourning the life I could have had. Normal, right? But suddenly everyones disappearing again. They act strange around me, don't want to stay in a room alone with me, or say things like "You're just bringing everyone down rn" and "Nothing is right for you, isn't it?!" straight to my face.
And it hurts. It hurts so much, because I've felt so damn lonely for 5+ years and now they seemed like good people, liked my humor and how I was, but do the same thing everyone ever did. Leave. Become annoyed. Become bored of me.
Noones always happy, or are they? Everyone grieves and everyone suffers sometimes. But obviously I'm just "bringing them down" and killing the mood.
And now the unbearable feeling of having literally noone to talk to or text is back with full force. Spent an hour crying into my pillow and now I feel dead inside... why does noone stay? Why do they always keep me for entertainment, and, once I'm not entertaining anymore, shove me out the door... ? What did I do to deserve this and feel this way...
I feel like Im breaking inside, and that something very important is simply dying more and more. My therapist wonders why I hesitate to let people into my life, but there's the answer again. Right there.
I'm so tired of this.
So. Tired.
