2023.06.11 00:04 buzzybeesting [Fully Lost] Doraemon Beach Episode - Nobita Exposes Himself
Not sure if this has been asked already, but I searched many variants of “Doraemon”, “Doraemon beach”, “Doraemon beach episode”, and come up with nothing, so here goes.
People always look at me crazy when I mention my parents not allowing me to watch Doraemon as a kid because of a scene where Nobita’s privates are visible as he takes his clothes off to go on a swim in the ocean, but now I am interested in knowing whether such an episode exists, or whether my mom made it up as an excuse to limit my screen time. I believe it exists, because of certain details:
- It was a classic filler beach episode where the characters are just having fun and no actual plot is happening.
- Nobita wants to take a swim, so he takes off his shorts and reveals a low-effort drawing of his male anatomy, to put it nicely. It’s nothing more than a rounded W and an elongated U, but the connotation is pretty clear.
I remember watching this on one of those screens on the back seat of a family friend’s car, the sort where you could put DVDs in, around 2009-2010. My mom and sister remember watching this scene as well. Any leads at all would be helpful.

2023.06.11 00:01 horrorfan17 Does anyone know anything about mom?
I've tried researching her family. I'm curious as to how Alexee was allowed out, to graduate, not wear a monitor, travel to Texas...it seems so biased. I can't find any information on her mother, her occupation, or anything. How did she have 10k to put out almost immediately? The special treatment she is getting seems off. Other 19 year olds who have harmed their children weren't given special privileges and mom seems to be calling the shots. I'm curious as to why and how she has this power. She's manipulating everything down to having the police move the car up. It bothers me. This family is extremely disturbing and she doesn't deserve special treatment after murdering her innocent baby. And moms complete disregard for the law and not acknowledging her grandchild is scary. She was shocked when they showed up with an arrest warrant. Why is she being treated as if she didn't know any better? I feel like mom has a connection somewhere.

After restarting, I realised that any application I tried to start from the panel didn't work.
- Opening Applications Pinned to "Icons Only Task Manager" did not work
- Opening Applications from the Application Launcher widget did not work
Using KRunner worked just fine and so did running firefox from Konsole.
KWin Keyboard shortcuts worked
I started a VM and everything inside it worked too.
On trying firefox, firefox and then konsole respectively from the pinned icon, dmesg gave the following:
[ 178.011461] __vm_enough_memory: pid: 1249, comm: plasmashell, not enough memory for the allocation [ 188.471493] __vm_enough_memory: pid: 1249, comm: plasmashell, not enough memory for the allocation [ 246.204436] __vm_enough_memory: pid: 1249, comm: plasmashell, not enough memory for the allocation
On deleting the panel and then receiving the deleted panel notification, on clicking close on the notification, the desktop and notification both got hanged. I checked to find this:

2023.06.10 23:58 CommissionerTadpole [PC - Flash] [Early 2000s] A browser game about doing a school project in a computer lab with not enough people in them
PC - Flash Genre:
Mostly a point-and-click game, as when you got into a computer, you had to click as many pop-ups as possible Estimated year of release:
I don't know, early 2000s? Certainly no later than 2006-2007, as I could never find the game after around that time Graphics/art style:
I sincerely don't remember, but I am pretty sure it was pixelated. I recall it being mostly neutral, in tones of gray or grayish-blue. Notable characters:
It had no significant characters, just generic, nameless school children/pre-teens. Notable gameplay mechanics:
The game revolved around you needing to do a school project in a computer lab, but there were more people than computers - so, you needed to yank someone away from a computer in a strength struggle minigame (iirc you needed to mash a button faster than the AI did to overpower them and knock them out of the PC). Once you did, the computer would eject a bunch of Windows 98/XP-style pop-ups indefinitely, and you had to click as many of them as possible - I don't know whether you had to click all
of them, or if some of them were viruses you had to avoid and only click icons related to your project. A risk with this is that the other computer-less NPCs could go on and attempt to yank you
off of the computer, and you'd have to do the strength-struggle minigame again to defend your seat. Other details:
As mentioned in an earlier post of mine
, I could've sworn this game was called "Chaos" or some variation of it, but it most likely isn't as attempting to look it up never yielded the game - only other unrelated flash games that had "Chaos" in their name (among them being the epynomous Blue Rabbit's Climate Chaos).
I'm sorry if I missed anything, please ask if I did. It's been nearly two decades since I last played that game, so my memory about it isn't very good.

2023.06.10 23:57 needtowastetime Air travel with a 3.5 month old
I am travelling with my little boy (3.5 months old) for a 4.5 hour flight. I’m super excited since I haven’t been back to my hometown since before Covid but definitely a little nervous about travelling alone with him.
1) Do I need to buy a stroller and car seat cover? My baby hates carriers so I plan on moving around with the car seat and stroller. The airline said they will take them when we arrive at the gate. Do I need to buy a cover for them?
2) Any tips on diaper changing on the plane?
Also any tips in general would be greatly appreciated!!!

2023.06.10 23:52 Potential_Passion USB outlet not letting me connect to android auto
I have a 2018 elantra and it won't let me connect to android auto through my USB cable. I don't know if it's because it's too hot in the car or what. I replaced the cable and it works sometimes. My blue tooth and other outlet works fine. The cable works when it's plugged into to the other outlet just not the USB outlet. Suggestions on car cables or maybe how to fix this?

2023.06.10 23:48 FATA987654321 29 [M4F] Miami/Anywhere - Looking for that special connection!
Hey there. I’m 29 and I am looking for that genuine and special connection. Ideally we start as friends and then it evolves into something more if we click. I would consider myself a pretty laid-back person, but I am also very ambitious, career driven, and goal-oriented. There is a lot I want to accomplish in life. I’ll list some thing about myself below:
-Musician who works in STEM. I am passionate about both fields and would ideally like to do something in both someday.
-I love good conversation. I can talk your ear off about music, but I also enjoy listening and when you can talk to me about what you’re interested in. I love learning, so talk away!
-I love pizza!
-In my spare time I enjoy playing video games. It’s not a deal-breaker, but it would be fun to play something together. I play mostly on PC but I also have an Xbox.
- Child free and don’t have and will never want children of any kind ever. Pets are dope though!
-I am pretty active and workout at the gym most days of the week!
-I’m very romantic and looking for that bit of love we’re all searching for. My love languages are physical touch and quality time. I love being that couple who sends each other cute good morning and goodnight texts.
Although I do strongly prefer for you to be local, I’m ok with starting online if there are plans to meet up and be irl if we hit it off and have a super strong connection.
If any of this seems interesting to you, feel free to reach out! Looking forward to hearing from you.

2023.06.10 23:48 IIIIVVVVIIIIVVVV Fresh, Real Food and Health is my Passion
Anyone in health conscious, natural and whole foods, fruit and vegetable blended beverages? I have experience in restaurants, cafes and food service, leading a LARGE team in food service overall.
I've just heard back on a nice location that has heavy car traffic and a scenic surrounding, with semi-busy pedestrian traffic. It is a car centric area, corner location, features lake for walking, running.
I'm thinking about blended whole fruit and vegetables beverages with grab and go healthy options, prepared salads and sandwiches. Possibly catering or internet orders if it makes sense.
For convenience I'm thinking a mini retail area, with juicing carrots, wheat grass flats, prepared foods, etc...
Portions are going to be HUGE, not some dainty salad. I know a big part will be finding the customers, informing, and also finding a middle ground. I think we could also swing, fresh OJ and granola items. Not exactly sure if I bring coffee into the mix, only corporate and gas station coffee less then a mile away.
The inside is going to be beautiful, bright, clean, smelling like lemons, citrus, ginger and fresh clean purified air. Also I could even see promoting activity groups, cycling groups.
I would also like to focus on more standing room areas vs sitting areas as well as outside seating directly on the water. But a mix would be nice.
What are you doing? Is it working for you?

2023.06.10 23:48 jayezzers 37y male calling it quits
I'm leaving my partner i been with for 13years i have two children i feel Soo bad for and i love more than anything in this world. It's been more downs than ups for me i lost most my friends and family trying to make it work with my partner. She constantly acuses me of trying to catch attention from anyone she feels threatened by(aunt's, girlfriends, strangers) and it's s constant pattern for ongoing 13 years I've never cheated. She always has access to my phone ECT, nothing to hide. But as soon as we go out in public there is a issue! She does not get along with anybody and always feels like people are making comments about her no matter what the conversation is, i have to constantly explain things and sometimes she understands most times she fights because I don't give her reasoning, my kids see us always arguing when we go out or at home. I was very close to a sister and unfortunately lost that connection because my wife had a physical fight with her. Not saying my sister is not at fault but my partner escalated it physical! She calls her mom and both belittle me when we argue, her mom calls me a low life and my family low life's, i would never tell my family nothing they say but it truthfully hurts me to think they feel this way. I have never asked for a penny from my mother-in-law, she owns a house and made a comment saying my son said something about living in her house, she said we would never end up with her house and called me a lazy ass! I have never thought about living or ending up in her house i don't get it. Shes divorced single mom her whole life 2kids and i can truly say it effected my partner. I truly wanna leave cause I've been here many times and i seriously don't see a way out other than leaving! We got no house or nothing going for ourselves if i leave idk how she will do it. She talks to her mom daily about everything offering details about stuff she has nothing to do with. But refuses to go stay with her instead kicks me out with nowhere to go! I own three cars have a Mobil business pay all the rent all the stuff in the garage is my business equipment. If i leave i gotta sell all my shit, find a place to store my business ECT seriously I'm about to fucken dip out!!

2023.06.10 23:46 NamelessNanashi [The Gods of Dragons: Beginning] Ch 20 - What is a Warlock?
Winter 4986, 22 Aoimoth
Rasnah found Branston in the chapel of Soleil and was grateful she wouldn't have to climb the stairs to his office. She waited in the back for him to finish his prayers and blessings, the stack of heavy books weighing down her mind more than her arms. "General..." one of the parishioners greeted her in a respectful whisper as he passed, and she managed to force a smile.
"My dear Sir Rasnah, is that a library in your hands or are you just happy to see me?" Branston asked with a jovial laugh that shook his belly.
Rasnah wanted to smile for him, but he was too good a friend to deserve something fake, "I was hoping to use one of your classrooms, I assume the children are done with their studies for the day?"
The shift in Branston's demeanor was subtle, but she was relieved to see he understood her mood. He continued the smile for the sake of his priests and petitioners still mingling in the chapel. "Right this way, General." he opened the door to the courtyard for her, whispering, "Need a change of scene, my dear?"
"I need a blackboard," she explained, following him around the outer edge of the courtyard to the classrooms where the city children took their lessons. "The Temple has great rooms for planning battles, full of maps and tokens galore, but not a single blackboard."
"Seems like a great oversight," he chuckled, opening one of the classroom doors and gesturing her in, "Let us hope that fixing that particular problem isn't the only heroic accomplishment you're known for in generations to come."
Rasnah snorted out a genuine laugh at that, placing her pile on one of the tiny desks but going straight for the board. "The Clerics of Lune were able to identify four of the ten bodies from the tower," she explained, searching the tray for a large piece of chalk. "I've had someone tracing the names, but they weren't natives to Clearhelm, and they didn't come here through legal channels."
"Not surprising, considering..." he moved to stand beside her, squinting at the board, "What are you...?"
"Warlocks, Branston. We know there were Warlocks at the tower, but that's the only thing we know. What do you know about Warlock magic?"
Branston sucked in a pained breath, "Probably little more than you, my dear. Tell me what you know, and I will fill in any blanks I see."
With a sigh, Rasnah began to write on the board, speaking as she did so. She wanted to get everything out so she could actually see it, maybe draw connections she was missing from turning too many pages in too many books, "Warlock magic is neither divine nor arcane, though it is more similar to arcane in nature..."
"Except it's gifted to them by a patron, much like divine magic is gifted by the gods," Branston interjected. Rasnah had started to draw out the standard venn diagram with the 'divine' circle, and 'arcane' circle intersecting but stopped halfway through writing the word 'nature' between the two. Branston shook his head, "I'm afraid this won't work quite so cleanly in two dimensions..." he moved to the teacher's desk, taking a blank piece of paper and drawing out the venn diagram again, filling the page with the circles, so they touched the edges. Picking it up, he rolled the page into a tube, so the two circles intersected twice, "Warlock magic is the opposite of nature magic, though it has the same overlapping sources." he explained.
Rasnah groaned and erased her started 'nature' with the side of her hand, scrawling, 'warlock' in its place for simplicity's sake, "Let's just ignore nature for now then..." she tapped the new word, "Warlock magic leaves a very distinct residue, like both divine and arcane, but unlike them, it can't be accurately identified as anything other than 'warlock'..." But Branston hummed to interrupt her again.
"There are different types of warlock magic depending on the patron granting access to it," he explained, picking his own chalk and starting a list, "Demon magic from the hells, and necromantic magic from the abyss, are the two most documented..." both the hells and the abyss were seen as outside the heavenly planes, segments of the 'outer planes.'
Rasnah's nose crinkled in disgust at both examples. They were not new to her, but she hadn't known they could be identified by residual spell effects alone. Needing to make sure everything stayed clear, she recited what they both knew, "Demon magic is granted by patrons only interested in collecting souls. It can cut the ties between a person and their god, preventing them from going to the heavenly planes after death. Some accounts even state a Warlock powerful enough can cut off a Cleric or Paladin." it was the most terrifying thing any follower of the gods could imagine, but a close second was... "Necromantic magic raises the dead as undead, trapping and twisting souls in their decaying bodies."
"Do we know what kind of Warlocks we're dealing with?" Branston asked.
She shook her head in frustration, "Are there any other types?"
The Cleric nodded but then contradicted it with a shrug. When Rasnah arched an eyebrow at him, he sighed again, taking up his chalk, "Warlocks get their magic from a patron on the outer planes. Some theories suggest this is where the gods originated and that the beings who dwell there are the parents of our gods. Though 'parent' isn't the right word..." he drew out the names Hengist and Horsa side by side. Rasnah felt her nose crinkle again, a growl slipping out as he drew lines from each name up to a single word, 'law.'
He tapped the word, "Please keep in mind that all of this is theory posed by Mages and philosophers, there is no way of confirming any of it without making a pact ourselves, which obviously isn't an option..." Rasnah nodded curtly and gestured for him to continue. Branston cleared his throat, "In the outer planes exist beings of pure concepts, such as law and order. They embody ALL of the concept, even the parts that seem contradictory. Their children split these contradictions. You have to admit, my dear, that Hengist and Horsa both value law and order, only their execution of the concept contradicts each other."
"Horsa is evil." Rasnah growled.
"I'm not going to argue that, Sir Paladin, but humor me," he managed a smile and tapped the combining word again, "Warlocks make pacts with these sources and communicate with them directly. Such communication in itself is enough to drive them mad, add to the fact that the beings themselves often embody contradiction..."
"Which is why all Warlocks go mad." Rasnah interjected, "Even if they started off with good intentions for the power they gain from the pact, they all eventually end up crazy and dangerous. And most," she underlined the types of warlock magic they did know, "Start off insane..."
"Yes," Branston confirmed, tapping the types of magic as well then drawing a new word below them, 'law,' "Just as an example..." he muttered as he wrote, then louder explained, "Basically there are as many types as there may be beings to make a pact with. Unless these Warlocks have formed a pact we are already familiar with, we have no way of knowing who their patron is."
Rasnah threw her chalk into the tray in frustration, "Damn it, we know so little..."
The classroom door slipped open, and an elderly priest poked his head in before pulling back into the hall, speaking to someone there, "I found her, Sir."
A young Paladin stepped into the classroom, and Rasnah cleared her expression, becoming the General once again. The knight saluted, and Rasnah nodded for him to continue, "We found where they came from, Sir."
"Ask, and you shall receive." Branston muttered under his breath. But Rasnah had heard the hesitation in her Paladin's voice and narrowed her eyes at the man.
"Damn." Rasnah slammed her fist on the desk, her unopened books rattling with the force of it. She couldn't hold back the whispered, "Fuck..." her mind racing.
"Uh... Sir?" the Paladin started cautiously then snapped to attention as she glared up at him.
"Go to the Mages Guild, have them send a blanket message to all Hengist Temples, they are to find the Master Monk Veon-Zih, Ally to the Temple, First Class, and have him contact me through mirror as soon as possible."
"Sir!" the Paladin saluted, and just in case, repeated Veon-Zih's name and credentials before hurrying from the room.
"A Horsa province..." Branston sighed, "You think they'll let him in when they won't anyone else from the Temple?"
Rasnah sighed, leaning back on the desk and rubbing her eyes with the heels of her hands, "Veon-Zih has connections everywhere. If anyone can insert themselves into this investigation, it's him." and the only people expressly banned from crossing Horsa's borders were Clerics and Paladins of Hengist. It took kingdom intervention to get such divine representatives across.
Branston took her by the shoulders, giving her a gentle shake, "I'll see what strings I can pull from my end. Soleil's light shines on all lands."
She managed a weak smile, "Thank you, Branston."
The same Paladin who delivered the first message brought the second four hours later. Rasnah ordered him to get dinner for himself and at least six hours of sleep before reporting to her again and made her way to the Mages Guild at a brisk walk, only a step removed from a jog.
The attending Mage at the front desk recognized her rank right away, even if she didn't know Rasnah personally, and stood to escort her to the call room. Rasnah was in enough of a hurry that she almost considered letting the other woman off, but couldn't bring herself to do it. She cleared her throat loudly, taking out her identification papers and tapping them on the table.
The Journeyman Mage had the decency to look ashamed before she resumed her seat, taking Rasnah's papers to confirm her identity and purpose. "My apologies, General..." She muttered for the breach in protocol.
Rasnah wasn't the type to yell or punish on a whim, but she did explain curtly, "These protocols are kept in place for a reason, Journeyman. You above all others should know the capabilities of magic to disguise an individual or take another form,"
"Those spells are very difficult, General, and highly regulated..." the Mage started but stopped at Rasnah's glare,
"And only those capable of both high-level magic and breaking the law would risk impersonating me. Those are exactly the people this protocol is in place to stop." She took back her papers without further admonishing the young woman, who hurried to take her to the call room.
The room was more like a long hall, lined with high-walled stalls. Above each stall's door were set two gems, this late in the evening, nearly all the red gems glowed steadily, mixing with the illuminating white light to tint the walls in pink. At the far end, above the largest stall, the red gem blinked. Rasnah's guide opened the stall door for her, chanting quietly as she did so until the red gem dimmed and the green began to glow in its place.
Within the stall was a single mirror, reaching from Rasnah's waist to just above her head, but the reflection was not her own. Veon-Zih had his eyes closed as he stretched with one arm and scratched his chiseled belly with the other. His already tan skin looked even darker with blotches of dust and dirt from the road. He'd obviously taken Rasnah's request for immediate communication very seriously.
The sight of him couldn't help but make her smile, "Hengist's pure soul, you're filthy, old man."
Veon-Zih scoffed, his eyes still closed as he finished his stretch, "And after I made a point of washing the blood from my knuckles just for you young whippersnapper..." his voice echoed in through the mirror, a reminder that he wasn't actually with her. As if to drive that point home, he said, "If you need me up there, Ras, you could've just sent an order to gate."
Rasnah shook her head, "Except that I actually need you in Swailand. Where are you now?"
Veon-Zih dropped his hands, "Halakon. Why Swailand?" Rasnah arched an eyebrow at the Monk, momentarily distracted by personal concerns for her old friend.
She resisted the urge to ask him about what had taken him to the desert province and instead stated, "Well, that explains the dust." before continuing with the matter at hand, "We have a lead on the Warlocks. The corpses originated in..."
"Corpses?" Veon-Zih interrupted.
Rasnah sighed. In her rush to continue the investigation, she'd forgotten he didn't already know about the tower, "We've found the Warlocks in Clearhelm, or more accurately, we found some of their bodies, a few of the corpses were still able to be identified after the fire and..."
"Fire?" Veon-Zih shook his head, "Start from the beginning Ras. If you want me to be your eyes and ears in Horsa land, I'll need to know everything."
So Rasnah told him what little they knew about the burning tower, but when she was done, he asked, "Where was it?" which made Rasnah look away. "Ras?"
"Just north of Hamerfoss... Shon was there. He's the one who saved the girl."
"What?!" Veon-Zih shouted, becoming larger in the mirror after stepping closer, "Rasnah, he's fifteen, what in all the hells was he..."
"He's a Sorcerer." Rasnah interrupted, and Veon-Zih's jaw dropped.
He swallowed, then -just as she feared- he nodded, "I'm coming up there, send orders for a gate."
"No, I need you in Swailand. We are taking care of Shon."
"I know how the government takes care of Sorcerers, General." he spat, "I'm coming up there. I might not keep money on hand, but I have enough favors I can cash in. I won't let them seal his ki. He can get his clearance and..."
"We are not going to give him the tattoo." Rasnah shouted over him, then continued calmly, "And he isn't leaving Hamerfoss." Veon-Zih arched a disbelieving eyebrow, and Rasnah rolled her eyes, "I can't tell if you're mocking me or genuinely don't believe me. The Temple is vouching for Shon so he can get a sealing item instead of a tattoo. It will block the ice magic but allow him to cast divine spells after he takes his Oath. We are taking care of him, V, and I need you in Swailand. If Horsa tries to take over our investigation I'll be left in the dark up here."
Veon-Zih sighed, leaning forward to rest his hand beside the mirror on his end. He rubbed his face and over his head with his free hand, still torn. When he spoke again, it was in a whisper, "Did he hurt anyone?"
"Hamerfoss has no less than forty-two men capable of healing all but the most deadly wounds..."
"Rasnah. Please?" Sorcerers rarely woke without some collateral damage.
"He was sparring with a fellow and froze his feet to the ground. The boy broke an ankle and suffered minor frostbite; both were healed the same night." Rasnah answered, trying to stay detached from the issue. Veon-Zih was already invested enough for both of them.
"I should have suspected... he's always been so cold." But ice was also incredibly rare. The cold of those who possessed that element made it difficult to find willing partners to carry on their bloodline. Instead, it passed through siblings and cousins who didn't manifest until it finally did many generations later.
"Shon is fine, Master Veon-Zih," Rasnah spoke quietly, waiting for her friend to meet her eyes before she continued, "he is one of the best Squires we've ever had, and we will not let him go so easily. I'll have you brought up here by gate as soon as possible. As soon as you're done in Swailand. I need you there, my friend."
Veon-Zih stood straight again and rolled his shoulders back with another sigh, "Let me get a shower, and I'll head out tonight."
"Would you like a horse?" Rasnah forced a smirk to try and lighten the mood, glad when Veon-Zih returned the smile.
"First you offer to get me up there faster, then you threaten to slow me down? General Rasnah, I thought you wanted to stay involved in this investigation?"
Rasnah snickered but continued on topic, "Branston has already contacted the Abbot of the Church in Sanoloa," the capital of Swailand, "I will have the reports and orders delivered to you with a gate to the closest Hengist-controlled Guild, after your, much needed, shower."
Thanks for making it this far, you are the real MVP

2023.06.10 23:38 ChapterOk1668 How long will Narc Hoover and apologize?
My nex has been apologizing for a month straight and saying a lot of the right things that are completely at odds with what he told me while we were still in a relationship.
For reference, we had months of arguing about stupid things. I then snapped out of it and realized I was wasting my breath and grey rocked for like 3 weeks to a month before he escalated and threw my shit I had with me, told me to get out of his car (he was dropping me off at work when this was happening) and told me to leave his place where I was living for the last 6 months ASAP.
So like I said, he’s just been saying and doing things differently the moment we broke up. For example we both had solid jobs and one time he told me if he made $250k he would still want me to work. But now he’s telling me I wouldn’t need to work and he will take care of me (even tho I don’t need this at all), it’s just an example of how he’s saying completely opposite things. He said something clicked in his head when I finally left him (literally took like three days for this click to happen) and he realizes how poorly he treated me and said that he knows he doesn’t even deserve another chance but he wants to do all the work to repair our relationship and to live a better life. Telling me a lot of the things he knows he did wrong and what he would do moving forward or what he should have done back then. Said he would go to therapy by himself and wants to go with me too (I know it’s advised not to do this, I’m not). It’s just interesting to me all the begging he’s doing when he emotionally and sexually treated me poorly. The only things he was good at was the financial aspect and helping in the household even tho he was kinda controlling here and there in both of those areas. Is this all normal behavior for a narc once they’ve been discarded?

2023.06.10 23:30 khoafraelich789 2023 MG GT Sport 1.5L Turbo TST
| || | submitted by khoafraelich789 to CarInformationNews [link] [comments]
Model: GT Sport TST
Engine: 1.5-liter DOHC 16-valve Inline-4 Turbo Intercooler
Max Power: 161 PS @ 5600 rpm
Max Torque: 250 Nm @ 1750 - 4000 rpm
Transmission: 7-speed dual-clutch transmission
Price as Tested: ₱PHP 1,193,888
For a brand known mainly for its sports cars from the 60s to the 90s, it was unusual to see MG launch one crossover SUV after another in the local market. They teased us a little bit with the MG6 liftback (launched in 2019), but thankfully, they are upping the marque’s sportiness with the introduction of the second-generation MG GT sports sedan.
Its nose has a proper scowl, which makes it look like it is impatiently waiting for the light to turn green and dash away. It was thoughtful of MG to put holes for the vehicle plate screws below the 3D digital flaming grille (so onlookers can see its full form), and the extra black molding that extends into these large air vents is a nice touch that gives it a one-of-a-kind front fascia.
The side showcases its very nice 17-inch two-tone Tomahawk alloy wheels, a couple of sharp character lines that highlight the shapely fenders, and a chrome trim that traces the daylight opening and emphasizes the slope that gives it a fastback form.
LED bulbs are standard on the intelligent headlights and 3D racetrack taillights. It also has a couple of elements that reduce drag and increase aerodynamic efficiency, a front (carbon fiber-style) and rear (ducktail) spoiler.
It looks every bit the part of a sports sedan from the front, but I have a few suggestions. A lower stance would be better, which means reduced ground clearance. On top of that, a sleeker roof would make it look sexier and give it better stability, and a larger rear glass should elicit an illusion of a wider body (when viewed from the rear). Lastly, drop the faux twin exhaust because it looks pretty obvious.
MG brags that it has a fighter jet-inspired cockpit. I have never been in a fighter jet as the closest I have been was while watching ‘Top Gun: Maverick,’ so I’ll take their word for it.
The dashboard is sleek, with switches that are just the right size to match the cockpit design. The plastic surface could be better, but the diamond-design accent that runs along the middle gives it a certain level of sophistication. The matching slim infotainment system is laid out horizontally and sits on top of a silver ledge with toggles to switch between the different menus of the 10-inch floating monitor. Designers gave the layout some thought to ensure every detail matches the image they have of the GT.
I single out the instrument cluster because of its different look and feel. I get a Chevy (think Spark) or a moto vibe from it, even if it sports a 12.3-inch virtual display with a digital speedometer and tachometer. The unique thing about it is the red linear gauges on either side that goes up and down depending on the speed and RPM.
Each front seat has bolsters for a snug fit, which is why it appears small at first. It cradles the torso very well, which helps keep the body in place during aggressive driving, but I wish the seat bottoms were just a bit longer for more thigh support. It has leather upholstery, red stitching, and quilting on the backrest.
There are two USB ports in front, one for charging and the other for Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. It also has Bluetooth audio streaming. The third USB port is at the back, beside the rear air vents.
The flat-bottom multi-function leather steering wheel feels great. It is just the right size and enhances the vehicle’s sporty personality. It has tilt adjustment but does not have telescopic features. Behind it are the paddle shifters and three stalks that include cruise controls.
I like its current interior equipment and the power sunroof is not a regular sight in the segment; that gives it a leg up over the competition. More premium cabin materials would be better, and throw in more padded surfaces too. The six-speaker system sounds good, but maybe too good in some parts because I can feel the vibration of the panels from the door speaker when I turn up the volume.
What is impressive about this vehicle is its small displacement 1.5-liter turbocharged gas engine that makes 161 PS and 250 Nm of torque. Drive goes to the wheels via a seven-speed twin-clutch gearbox. Throttle response is drive mode dependent. Normal is the default mode, and it feels pretty mild-mannered. The vehicle’s weight is more palpable as it rises steadily to the desired speed.
Switching modes was a little tricky as there was a button on the center stack. The paddle shifter also did not have an effect. Only when I toggled the gear shifter back did it shift to Sport, and vice versa. Acceleration is slightly more abrupt, but I love the sound it makes. Instead of the typical rumble, which you will not get anyway because it only has four cylinders, there is a thrilling throttling-up sound that rises in the cabin the faster I went.
Handling is not too light, but despite its good power-to-weight ratio, it is not as agile. That is partly due to soft suspension and high ground clearance. Its height raises the center of gravity which -together with the ride height- is why there is a significant amount of body roll when cornering.
If you want to sort that out, get a new set of coilover suspensions or a lowering kit (if there are any available). But there is a benefit to keeping it suspension setup stock. This soft type has more comfort versus rigid setups that offer sporty handling. It keeps road harshness levels down, and unless you plan to drive it aggressively, there is no need to modify it.
It has a forward collision warning and lane departure warning, but my favorite is the 360-degree vehicle view camera. It shows the vehicle's position relative to external obstacles, while the forward camera lets me park face-front as close to the wall as possible.
If you plan to take it for a weekend trip, the trunk space is 40 inches long and 53 inches wide. It looks big enough to store a couple of check-in luggage and several overnight bags.
At PHP 1,193,888, the 2023 MG GT Sport TST certainly has qualities befitting a compact sports sedan. It may not corner like the Civic RS but its higher torque lets it take off with a bit more bravado. This second-generation model is already on the right track with its powertrain. A few more updates in the MG GT and it can give the segment a run for its money.
2023.06.10 23:28 IIRizzII Blonde moment..
I was on a, meet at door, delivery. A teenage kid came to the door, I handed him his order and said have a good night. He said you too! I started to walk away and he shouted “oh yeah would you like a coke?”, so I replied “No, thank you, but thanks anyway” and kept walking. He looked so confused as to why I wouldn’t want his coke. Now I felt awkward and weird for turning his offer down but I embarrassingly just walk away and get into my car. It was just then, when I started to click “delivered” that I realized I needed a PIN number.. Usually I notice before I get to the customers place if I need a PIN number or not, but this time I didn’t. I can’t believe I thought he said coke but said code. Haha!! Anyways, I thought I’d share my embarrassing but funny story (I find these posts are better than the complaining ones).
If you have a funny, weird, or embarrassing drop off story you’d like to share, please do! :)

2023.06.10 23:27 Elfy_zzz 26 [M4M] Rhode Island - Any weebs and gamers in the area?
Heya Everyone! ✨
Figured I would give it a try making a post on here. I am a college student and my hobbies are music, reading, anime/manga, and gaming. I live in the northeast of the U.S also known as the New England area and I am only looking for someone in the area to befriend and hang with. Not sure if this sub reddit is for dating or friends but my primary reason posting here is to make friends locally whom I may have the opportunity to meet some day. I'm not put off by the idea of dating, as I am bisexual and have been with a guy before. But dating to me comes with time if we really click as friends for a bit. ~
For the most part I'm pretty introverted but I'm not too shy. I just need time to recharge alone if I was hanging with someone for awhile. To give a little description of myself I'm pretty short for a 26yr ol male. I am like 5'2 last I checked? Skinny and I have long black hair that is naturally wavy/curly that goes down to my shoulders. My face is clean shaven but can't exactly say the same elsewhere, though it's not like I'm hairy either I don't think, but it's not like anyone notices since I'm covered up in a hoodie or long sleeve shirts n such. I'm Hispanic/Latino. PR 🇵🇷 to be exact if that matters. (Yo puedo hablar poco de español pero yo me prefiero ingles si esta bien)~
About Me/Hobbies 🎮
When I'm not busy with college assignments I often enjoy listening to music. When it comes to music I love taking turns sharing and listening with someone. It gives an opportunity for us to be introduced to something new. Lyrics in music often encompass a lot of thoughts and feeling I have trouble communicating. They often encompass and reveal a lot of how I kinda think, feel, and process many things in life. If u are similar to me in that regard, it may make for some interesting convos if u are a curious individual. Curious people are very comforting for me to talk to, so by all means if u are comfortable with it, say whatever u would like to say. I love going on about ideas and tangents with someone for a good bit. It leaves me feeling refreshed in gaining new perspectives and learning from someone.
With gaming there's not much to say. I really love fighting games and would ideally love someone who is just as into them to play with! For sure one of the easiest ways to connect with me but not the only. Guilty Gear is my favorite fg but with the release of Street Fighter 6 recently, I have been playing that game a lot! I enjoy attending locals often to hang with some friends and enter in some bracket tourneys. Outside of fighting games I love playing Yu-Gi-Oh or relaxing playing various games on my PS1 and PS2 emulators.
With anime I like a variety of generes and have watched many shows. Perhaps I can I send u my MAL or Anilist. But my favorite has to be Spice and Wolf (all time fav) and my current favorite anime/manga has to be Call of the Night. (current fav). ~
Wrapping things up 🎁
To wrap things up here, I apologize for giving u so much to read. But if u did I really am appreciative of that! I value communication and let's just take these step by step and feel each other out and go with the rhythm. I am still new to same-sex dating so I apologize if my texts seem bland or come off as if I'm disinterested. I am used to my last relationship with a guy being like a very intimate friendship or bromance of sorts if that makes sense? I have a discord and would prefer that as the main platform to communicate. If we connect with each other over text, I would not mind possibly hanging out in a call and from there let things work its own magic. 🪄 Thank u so much for reading! Chao! ~💖

Did you know you can kill weeds with vodka? Remove stains on clothes with aspirin? Make jewellery gleam with tomato ketchup? Here are 40 surprising tips to save you time and money
and for ... aluminium cans
To create a simple Chinese lantern, mark two lines around a clean empty can, about 2.5cm from the top and bottom. With a sharp craft knife, make vertical cuts about 1.5cm apart between the lines. Make a cut across the bottom of two adjacent strips to make an opening for a candle. Gently press down on the can to make the strips bend in the middle. Insert a tea-light through the opening, then tuck the cut ends of the opening strips inside the can. Finally attach a hanging loop. You can spray-paint the can before cutting it if you like.
and for ... apples
If you've been heavy-handed with the salt shaker when cooking a soup or stew, simply drop a few apple (or potato) wedges into the pan. After cooking for another 10 minutes or so, remove the wedges, which will have absorbed the excess salt.
and for ... aspirin
Before giving up hope of removing a stubborn perspiration stain from a shirt, try this. Crush two aspirins and mix the powder in 100ml warm water. Soak the stained part of the garment in the solution for two to three hours.
B is for ... bread
You can remove most dirty or greasy fingerprints from painted walls by rubbing the area with a slice of white bread. Bread does a good job of cleaning nonwashable wallpaper as well. First cut off the crusts to minimise the chance of scratching the paper.
and for ... baby oil
Buff up a dull-looking stainless steel sink by rubbing it down with a few drops of baby oil on a soft clean cloth. Rub dry with a towel and repeat if necessary. This is also a terrific way to remove stains on the chrome trim of kitchen appliances and bathroom fixtures.
and for ... bicarbonate of soda
Even the smelliest shoe or trainer is no match for the power of bicarbonate of soda. Liberally sprinkle powder in the offending loafer or laceup and let it sit overnight. Discard the powder in the morning. (Be careful with leather shoes as repeated applications can dry them out.)
C is for ... crayons
Crayons make an excellent filler for small gouges or holes in resilient flooring. Select a colour that closely matches the floor. Melt the crayon in the microwave on medium power over a piece of greaseproof paper, until you have a pliant glob of colour. With a plastic or putty knife, fill the hole. You can use a softened crayon to cover even quite deep scratches on wooden furniture.
and for ... carpet remnants
Place a series of carpet offcuts upside down and cover them with bark mulch or straw for a weed-free garden path. Use smaller scraps as mulch around your vegetable garden.
and for ... coffee grounds
They're full of nutrients that acid-loving plants crave. Save them to fertilise rose bushes, azaleas, rhododendrons, evergreens and camellias. It's better to use grounds from a drip coffeemaker than the boiled grounds from a percolator as the drip grounds are richer in nitrogen.
and for ... compact discs
Use them as garden/driveway reflectors. Drill small holes into a CD and screw it ito a gatepost or stake. Install several of them to mark out a night-time path to your front door.
and for ... correction fluid
Dab small nicks on household appliances with correction fluid. Once it dries, cover your repair with clear nail polish for protection.
D is for ... dental floss
Secure a button permanently with dental floss - it's much stronger than thread. Make hardwearing repairs to outdoor items. Because dental floss is resilient but fine, it is an ideal replacement for thread when you are repairing an umbrella, tent or rucksack.
E is for ... emery board
If a favourite pair of suede shoes have become stained and tired, an emery board can revive them. Rub the stain lightly with the emery board, and then hold the shoe over the steam from a kettle to remove the stain. This technique will work for suede clothing too.
F is for ... fabric softener
End clinging dust on the TV. To eliminate the static that attracts dust, dampen a duster with a little fabric softener straight from the bottle.
and for ... freezers
Place candles in the freezer for at least two hours before burning. They will last longer.
G is for ... golfing equipment
If a screw won't grip because its hole has become too large, dip the tip of a golf tee in wood glue and tap the tee into the hole. Cut the tee flush with a craft knife. When the glue dries, you can drill a new pilot hole in the same spot.
H is for ... hairspray
To keep a child's priceless work of art at its very best before you put it on the pinboard or fridge door, preserve it with hairspray to help it last longer. This works especially well on unstable chalk or pastel pictures as it stops them from getting smudged so easily.
I is for ... ice cube trays
Here's what to do with a half-drunk bottle of red or white wine. Freeze the wine into cubes that can be used later in pasta sauces, casseroles or stews.
and for ... ice cubes
If you're putting sealant around the bath, run an ice cube over it to get a nice even bead - it will never stick.
J is for ... jars
If you've taken a break from gardening, help your gloves dry out by pulling each one over the bottom of an empty jar. Stand the jar upside down on a radiator or hot-air vent. Warm air will fill the jar and dry damp clothing in an instant.
K is for ... ketchup
Keeps silver jewellery sparkling. Soak it in a small bowl of ketchup for a few minutes. If it has a tooled or detailed surface, use an old toothbrush to work ketchup into the crevices. To avoid damaging the silver, don't leave the ketchup on longer than necessary. Rinse and dry.
L is for ... lemons
Get rid of tough stains on marble. Cut a lemon in half, dip the exposed flesh in some table salt and rub it vigorously on the stain. You will be amazed how well it works.
and for ... ladders
A straight ladder or front part of a stepladder makes a shallow planter with ready-made sections that look appealing filled with annuals, herbs or salad greens. After a couple of years of contact with soil, a wooden ladder will decompose.
M is for ... milk cartons
Keep drinks cold at a barbecue or party with ice blocks made from empty milk cartons. Rinse them, fill them with water and put them in the freezer. Peel away the container when you're ready to put them in the punch bowl. If you intend to use them as cooler blocks, leave the container in place.
N is for ... nail varnish
Preserve the important information on labels with a coat of clear varnish. Keep a shirt in good shape by putting a drop of clear varnish on the thread in the buttons. It prevents fraying and loss of buttons.
and for ... newspaper
Slow-ripen tomatoes that are still on the vine in autumn. Wrap each one in a couple of sheets of newspaper and then store them in airtight containers inside a dark cabinet or cupboard at room temperature. Check each one every three or four days; they will eventually ripen to perfection.
O is for ... olive oil
Make your own furniture polish. Combine two parts olive oil with one part lemon juice or white vinegar in a clean recycled spray bottle, shake it up and squirt it on. Leave the mixture on for a minute or two, then wipe off with a clean cloth or paper towel. If you're in a hurry, apply olive oil straight from the bottle on to a paper towel. Wipe off any oil that remains with another towel.
and for ... oatmeal
Add luxury to a regular bath. All you need is 200g oatmeal and your favourite scented oil. Grind the oatmeal in a blender, put it in a cheesecloth bag, add a few drops of scent and suspend the bag under the running water as you fill your bathtub.
and for ... oven cleaner
To remove paint or varnish from wooden or metal furniture, try oven cleaner. It costs less than commercial strippers and is easier to apply (if you spray it). After applying, scrub off the old paint with a wire brush. Neutralise the stripped surface with vinegar, then wash it off with water. Allow to dry. Warning: never use oven cleaner on antique or expensive furnishings - it may darken wood or discolour metal.
P is for ... plastic bottles
Create a drip irrigator for plants. Cut a large hole in the bottom of a bottle, then drill two to five tiny (1.5mm) holes in or around the cap. Bury the closed bottles upside down about three-quarters submerged beneath the soil near the plants you need to water, and fill with water through the hole on top. Refill as needed.
R is for ... rubber flip-flops
Slip a rubber flip-flop on to your hand and rub carpets and rugs in the direction of the pile. Any pet hair will form into balls that can then be vacuumed up. This works well on upholstery, too, including car seats.
S is for ... sand
Fill a large bucket with builder's sand and pour in about a litre of clean motor oil. Plunge spades, hoes, rakes and other tools into the sand a few times to clean and lubricate them. To prevent rust, you can leave the tool blades in the sand for storage.
and for ... salt
Watermarks from damp glasses or bottles left on a wooden surface are unattractive. Make them disappear by mixing one teaspoon of salt with a few drops of water to form a paste. Gently rub the paste on to the ring with a soft cloth or sponge until the spot is gone. Restore the lustre with furniture polish.
T is for ... tennis balls
Give yourself a relaxing and therapeutic back massage: fill a long tube-shaped sock with a few tennis balls, tie the end and stretch the massager around your back as you would a towel after a shower.
and for ... tights
To find lost small objects, cut the leg off an old pair of tights, making sure the toe is intact and pull it over the nozzle of the vacuum cleaner hose. Secure with a rubber band. Turn on the vacuum and you will soon find your valuable attached to your homemade filter.
U is for ... umbrellas
Make an instant trellis. Remove the fabric from an old umbrella and insert the handle into the ground to support climbing vines such as clematis. The umbrella's shape, covered with flowers, will look terrific in the garden.
V is for ... vodka
For a quick and easy weedkiller, mix 30ml vodka, a few drops of washing-up liquid and 400ml water in a spray bottle. Apply at midday on a sunny day to weeds growing in direct sunlight because alcohol breaks down the waxy cuticle covering on leaves, leaving them susceptible to dehydration. It won't work in shady spots.
is for ... WD40
For fast relief from a bee or wasp sting, spray WD-40 directly on the bite. It will soothe the pain at once.
Y is for ... yoghurt
Put 200ml plain active-culture yoghurt into a blender, along with a handful of moss and about 200ml water. Blend for about 30 seconds. Use a paintbrush to spread the mixture wherever you want moss to grow - between the cracks of a stone path, on the sides of flowerpots - as long as the spot is cool and shady. Keep misting the moss with water until it is established.
Z is for . . . zips
Ever lost your car keys in the sand at the seaside? Stitch a small zipped pocket to one corner of the underside of your beach towel, just big enough for keys, sunglasses and maybe a few coins.
And if you're feeling really bold ...
Four bizarre problem-solving suggestions ·
If you want to post a fragile item to a friend, wrap the item in disposable nappies before sealing the package. You can be sure your gift will arrive in one piece. ·
To get chewing gum out of hair, apply some peanut butter to the matted gum and hair and rub the gum until it comes out. Your child's hair may smell like peanut butter until you wash it, but it is a better solution than having to cut the gum out. ·
Wash lettuce in a washing machine. If you are expecting lots of people for lunch, place one pillowcase inside another. Fill the inside case with lettuce leaves. Close with string or a rubber band and throw in the washing machine. Now run the rinse and spin cycle. ·
Get the comfort of a salon treatment when giving yourself a home pedicure. Just place marshmallows between your toes to separate them before you apply nail polish.
