It's time to dive under the sea once again. Over the last few years, Disney has recreated their top animated musical films into live-action movies. The Little Mermaid is no different, and viewers can't wait to swim into theaters to catch a glimpse of how the movie will stand up against the original version.
The latest of Disney's hugely successful line of live-action remakes, Ariel (Halle Bailey) is set to return to theaters for the first time in almost thirty-five years with The Little Mermaid (2023). The Walt Disney Company once again invites audiences to travel under the sea to see Princess Ariel's story unfold like never before. Featuring direction from veteran musical filmmaker Rob Marshall and other roles inhabited by major Hollywood stars like Melissa McCarthy as Ursula the Sea Witch and Javier Bardem as King Triton, the film is bound to be a bona fide hit at the box office.

Though the upcoming and highly anticipated film will have stiff competition against two stand-up comedians on the weekend it releases, The Little Mermaid is destined to show that life is better down where it's wetter under the sea this Summer movie season. The 2023 live-action movie will only be available in theaters starting May 26. That means if you want to watch it ASAP.
However, it will be available to stream on the Disney+ platform soon. Disney+ typically follows a 90-day period before its theatrical releases come to the streaming platform. That means we may see the live-action version of "The Little Mermaid" come to Disney+ as early as August 2023.
Before we ask if you're interested in seeing this, we know you are. But like us, you're probably wondering how to watch and stream The Little Mermaid online. Luckily, we have some clues and it's likely to land on a major streaming site very soon. So climb aboard, because here's where to watch and stream The Little Mermaid online.
Ariel's quest to go from a mermaid into a human begins anew when The Little Mermaid premieres this Memorial Day Weekend on Friday, May 26th, 2023. The film will be going up against not one, but two stand-up comedians and their films that weekend, with Sebastian Maniscalco's About My Father and Bert Kreischer's The Machine premiering on the same day. That said, The Little Mermaid will almost certainly be the choice for younger audiences and families.
While some Disney films are heading straight to Disney+, The Little Mermaid will first be shown exclusively in theaters.
As of now, the only way to watch The Little Mermaid is to head out to a movie theater when it premieres on May 26, 2023. You can find a local showing on Fandango.
Watch Now: The Little Mermaid (2023) Movie Online Free
Otherwise, you’ll just have to wait for it to become available to rent or purchase on digital platforms like Amazon, Vudu, YouTube or Apple, or become available to stream on Disney+.
At the moment, you can watch The Little Mermaid at your local theater. But like most movies these days, it should hit a streaming website in the near future.
Like its predecessor, The Little Mermaid is a flick produced by multimedia conglomerate Disney. What's more, the production studio owns a number of other famous franchises, like the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Star Wars. Titles made under these umbrellas have both hit Disney+ sometime after arriving at the box office. Fans may also know the original Little Mermaid is currently available to stream on the site as well. So, if the 2023 version follows the same pattern, folks will likely get to see The Little Mermaid on Disney+ later this year too.
As for an exact release date for The Little Mermaid, that's more complicated. Most movies produced by Disney often go to its streamer site within three months after debuting in theaters, like the most recent Marvel film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. If this is the case for The Little Mermaid, it will probably drop in late August 2023 or sometime near Labor Day in early September.
When the time comes for The Little Mermaid to splash onto Disney+ though, make sure you're all prepared to watch it. If you don't have access yet, you can opt into a 30-day free trial before choosing a plan that start at $7.99 per month or $79.99 per year. After your account is all set, click on the title page on Disney+'s official website or the Disney+ app.
As you wait for The Little Mermaid to hit the streamer, why don't you watch the animated version and its sequel The Little Mermaid 2: Return to the Sea? Or if you want to immerse yourself in another live-action version, click on the 2019 ABC TV special The Little Mermaid Live!. Enjoy!
Unlike several of Disney's other live-action remakes such as Pinocchio and Peter Pan & Wendy, The Little Mermaid will be exclusively in movie theaters first with tickets available for pre-sale now.
After The Little Mermaid has completed its exclusive theatrical run, the film will be released on the Disney+ streaming service. Based on Disney's past release models, the film won't be made available to stream before 45 to 90 days after its theatrical release.
Now that movie theaters seem to be back, The Little Mermaid live-action film will be an in-theater release first before being released to at-home video. That means that your only chance to watch it right now is by going to your local theater.
However, don't lose all hope. Since it's a Disney movie, it will eventually make its way over to Disney+ after a few months on the big screen. It will also be available on other streamers like Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, Google Play, and more to rent and own at your leisure.
If you're hoping to get your mermaid kick in now, then you can tune into the original The Little Mermaid which is available on Disney+ and other streaming services including Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, and the Google Play store.
The 2023 version of The Little Mermaid will only be in theaters initially. After The Little Mermaid has completed its exclusive theatrical run, it is likely to stream on Disney Plus. You can also watch the animated version of Hans Christian Andersen's 1837 fairy tale of Ariel on Disney Plus now.
While you will only be able to catch the new "The Little Mermaid" in theaters starting next Friday, you can still sign up for Disney+ now to refresh yourself on the characters, song, plot and magical fun from the highly anticipated film. The 1989 version of the movie was a catalyst for Disney's animation renaissance throughout the '90s and it still holds up today.
An ad-supported Disney+ subscription starts at $8 per month, but you can get an ad-free access to the service for $11 monthly or bundle the Disney streaming service with Hulu and ESPN+ starting at $13 per month. Disney+ boasts a huge collection of movies and television series, including Marvel and Star Wars content. If you add in Hulu and ESPN, you have nearly unlimited entertainment at your fingertips.
When will The Little Mermaid be streaming on Disney+?
The Little Mermaid Disney+ premiere date is tentatively estimated to be Aug. 30, 2023.
While no official Little Mermaid streaming date has been confirmed by Disney, most of its major movie releases drop on Disney+ following a minimum 90-day period, and typically premiere on the platform on Wednesdays, making Wednesday, Aug. 30 the most likely date for Disney’s The Little Mermaid live-action streaming release.
Is The Little Mermaid streaming on Netflix?
No, The Little Mermaid will not be on Netflix — at least not any time soon. In the meantime, you’ll just have to head out to a movie theater or wait for it to become available to stream on Disney+.
Will The Little Mermaid Be On HBO Max?
No, The Little Mermaid will not be on HBO Max since it’s not a Universal Pictures movie. Last year, the company released its films in theaters and on the streamer on the same day. However, they now allow a 45-day window between the theatrical release and the streaming release.
Is The Little Mermaid Available On Hulu?
Viewers are saying that they want to view the new animation movie The Little Mermaid on Hulu. Unfortunately, this is not possible since Hulu currently does not offer any of the free episodes of this series streaming at this time. It will be exclusive to the MTV channel, which you get by subscribing to cable or satellite TV services. You will not be able to watch it on Hulu or any other free streaming service.

There are a few ways to watch The Little Mermaid online in the U.S. You can use a streaming service such as Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime Video. You can also rent or buy the movie on iTunes or Google Play. You can also watch it on-demand or on a streaming app available on your TV or streaming device if you have cable.
The Little Mermaid Cast and Characters
The Little Mermaid was written by David Magee and directed by Rob Marshall. It stars the following actors:
Halle Bailey as Ariel
Melissa McCarthy as Ursula
Javier Bardem as King Triton
Noma Dumezweni as Queen Selina
Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric
Daveed Diggs as Sebastian
Awkwafina as Scuttle
Jacob Tremblay as Flounder
Art Malik as Sir Grimsby
What is The Little Mermaid About?
The official synopsis for The Little Mermaid by Walt Disney Studios read:
“The Little Mermaid” is the beloved story of Ariel, a beautiful and spirited young mermaid with a thirst for adventure. The youngest of King Triton’s daughters and the most defiant, Ariel longs to find out more about the world beyond the sea, and while visiting the surface, falls for the dashing Prince Eric. While mermaids are forbidden to interact with humans, Ariel must follow her heart. She makes a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, which gives her a chance to experience life on land, but ultimately places her life – and her father’s crown – in jeopardy.
There is not much mystery in The Little Mermaid's plot. As seen in Disney's many other live-action remakes, it is anticipated that the film's plot will largely stick to the original. With the well-known song "Part of Your World," in which Ariel sings about her wish to be a part of the world beyond the water, i.e., the human realm, the teaser already alluded to Ariel's fascination with the human world. Fans will get to see Ariel and Prince Eric's romance as they deal with the challenges posed by their differences.

[FM 22. Curzon Ashton] 24. Season #8 28/29. A solid ground
Hello FM Community!
I am finishing the season with Curzon Ashton and my challenge is finally started: all my players are our own youngsters or trained in the club 3+ years before their 21.
Here is my intro (and posts archive at the end):
[FM 22. Curzon Ashton] 1. My new career and old-new challenge.
Previous chapter:
[FM 22. Curzon Ashton] 23. Season #7 27/28. Here we go again
We finished 8th in the Sky Bet League One, won Papa John's Trophy (made from pizza for sure) and are looking in the bright future!

Results

A big slap by Hull gave us good motivation on the start.
Pretty good November, with only one lose in 9 games (easy schedule, huh?) and big drop next month.
Not so bad January, not so good February, and awful last two months, excluding pizza-cup.
As a result, we fell out from playoff zone. But anyway, this is the highest club place in history.
Not the best attacking season from us, but for this level pretty good, I guess.
Our defending play as usual is not good, but even with that we got the result.

Transfers In

To be honest, this season is one of the best for me from the start of this save. We brought some pretty good kids, and they dived into the squad flawlessly.
  • Ally Shannon (M (LC), ST) - 17y.o. from Man City for free.
    • Hardworking attacking player with decent technical skills, but it didn't become a limit for him to reach great stats this season.
  • Alexander Stone (AM (R)) - 18y.o. from Southampton for free.
    • Fast and agile winger with good technique. Played a big part of games, but missed almost a half of the season due to injuries.
  • Gabriel Bashir (AM (RL), ST) - 18y.o. from Burnley for free.
    • Hardworking dribbler. Played a half of games normally.
  • Kevin East (M (C)) - 18y.o. from Bournemouth for free.
    • Well-balanced box-to-box with great passing. Played a half of games pretty well.
  • Yaw Mensah (D (C)) - 18y.o. from Southampton for free.
    • 202cm of great jumping and tackling. Played pretty good in one-third of games.
  • Alex Evans (AM (RL), ST) - 18y.o. from Man City for free.
    • Fast and Furious brave attacking player. Played some games in a decent way.
  • Paul Gallagher (M/AM (R)) - 18y.o. from West Ham for free.
    • Fast and agile winger. Played some games not so good.
  • Eddie Hadley (M/AM (R)) - 18y.o. from Everton for free.
    • Fast and agile winger. Didn't play for the Senior squad.
  • Craig Cole (D (RLC)) - 18y.o. from Man City for free.
    • Smart defender with good jumping. Didn't play for the Senior squad.
  • Andrew O'Hanlon (D (R), DM, M/AM (C)) - 18y.o. from Man UFC for free.
    • Smart universal midfielder. Didn't play for the Senior squad.
  • Nick O'Hanlon (M (RC), AM (R)) - 18y.o. from Tottenham for free.
    • Fast and agile universal midfielder. Didn't play for the Senior squad.
  • Jayden Jones (GK) - 18y.o. from Oxford for free.
    • Sweeping keeper with good potential. Didn't play for the Senior squad.
Name Fixtures Goals Assists G+A Rating POTM
Ally Shannon 30(4) as M(L), ST 18 2 20 7.00 5

Paul Gallagher 0(4) as AM(R) 0 0 0 6.65 0

Transfers Out

Not big deals, but big amount:
  • Mark Kerr (D (RL), DM, M/AM (C)) - 18y.o. to Millwall for 275K + bonuses.
    • Mark is our own youngster. He played very good last season (even was top-4 of the club by average rating), but on the start of this season his attributes dropped extremely fast.
  • Rhys Thompson (GK) - 24y.o. to Huddersfield for 9K.
    • Rhys was bought for 12K from Shrewsbury 6 seasons ago. Sometimes he was our #1 almost full season, sometimes he played really a few games. But this season he played nothing, because our Andy McDermott played all 61/61.
  • And 5 our own youngsters, which never played for the Senior squad, summed for 160K + bonuses.
Name Fixtures Goals Assists G+A Rating POTM
Mark Kerr 35(8) as D(RL), M (C) 4 7 11 7.21 5
Rhys Thompson 137 as GK -214 0 0 6.94 1

Released

I never did this part, but this season we lost our legend, Matty Waters. So I decided to add it. More than, after all my tries to bring him back (the answer always was "I want a new challenge"), he spent this season as a free agent and finally retired from football at 31. And for me, this is a huge pity, because I would be happy to bring him back as a staff member.
Also, Max Woodcock, one of our first purchases and our biggest spending yet (16.75K), decided to leave. He retired as well.

Matty Waters 262(38) as D (RL) 45 121 166 7.58 45

2023.06.09 15:42 giraffeperv So what are compensation adjustments looking like for everyone?

I’m in public, mid-size firm. What are other public accountants receiving for compensation adjustments? My firm barely gave over the inflation rate (5-7% raises) & that honestly seems cracked. We have not for profit clients giving larger raises. All I got was a cost of living adjustment while being told I far exceeded other staff of my level & asking me to take on new responsibilities this upcoming year. (Asking me to teach firm wide NFP trainings & to become an NFP expert)
Just curious if all public firms are doing this or what. My firm literally acquired another company this year, did they need that to pay the employees they already had?
For perspective, intern pay went up to $30/hr from $25 this busy season, a 20% increase for people we had to send home early because they couldn’t handle the level of work we had.
TLDR; compensation adjustment wasn’t what I expected. Is this normal & I need a slice of humble pie or are they screwing us over?

2023.06.09 15:41 cired-hxh Season 7

I know a lot of people doesn't like Season 7 because the season is irrelevant to past seasons. I watched Riverdale S1 to S4 and stopped after the graduation episodes in S5.
Now rewatching S7 again, I will be honest I am actually really enjoying it, mainly because this is how Riverdale should begin with from the first season. It's a bit of a sitcom and a lot of it really aligns with the comic book, which is my childhood. I think what should have been done is that they should have started Riverdale this way or do a spin off and make a Riverdale sitcom because Season 7 is actually really funny if you can get past the first six season and treat this season as brand new. I actually kind of get why they're doing the storyline this way. This is the last season of Riverdale and I truly believe they want to keep the legacy of archie comics so instead of doing a spin off, they dedicated the last season to archie comics. All in all, eventhough a lot of people hate this season, you have to agree it's pretty funny (if you read the comic book before)

2023.06.09 15:39 Venomous_Duck_Media Actor Spotlight for Gareth and the Lost Island

Today's Gareth and the Lost Island Actor Spotlight is on the tremendously talented and funny Daniel Fore.
Daniel first blew my mind when he gave a performance of the robot secretary Loni that was exactly how I've heard her in my head since I wrote the character several years ago. He went on to impress me even further as the other half of the Sheldon comedy duo. Daniel is the Bob Hope to OJVA's Bing Crosby (or for the younger folks - Chris Farley to David Spade or Peter Griffen to Brian Griffen.) These two roles are extremely different, yet Daniel turned in masterful performances on both.
I really can't recommend Daniel Fore enough (unless you are trying to get him to work for you when I need him for season 2, in which case I'll say, "Back off! I found him first!") In all seriousness, you won't be disappointed working with Daniel, and I can't wait to work with the comedy duo of Fore and OJVA again.
Daniel's bio:
Daniel has been voice acting since 2019, what started as a bet with friends turned into a new passion he plans to pursue for the rest of his life. With a variety of different voices at his disposal, he's able to bring a multitude of characters to life from young children, high school girls, and powerful women all the way to snarky rich boys, nasally nerds, and the creature that you hope to god isn't standing behind you. He's also a great singer too!
In his free time he enjoys video games, drawing, playing tabletop RPGs, collecting ironic fish hats, sharing fun facts with anyone who will listen, embroidery, and crocheting!
If you have any business inquiries, want to hear a fun fact, see his fish hat collection, a mix of two, or all of the above you can reach him at [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected])

2023.06.09 15:38 Nibo89 Isn’t it WAY too soon for…

This event:
The Fall of King’s Landing?
I see everyone on here talking about how Season 2 is going to be ending with the Fall of King’s Landing, and how the Gullet will be moved to season 3. But I simply don’t see how that’s possible.
Season 2 is only eight episodes, and so much needs to happen. Luke’s funeral, B&C, the aftermath of B&C, Daeron needs to be introduced, the money needs to be hidden, the Dragonseeds need to claim their dragons, Jace needs to go to the Vale AND the North, we need to see Jace’s friendship with Cregan, Daemon needs to take Harrenhal, Rook’s Rest, Meleys head being brought back, Aemond needs to be crowned as Prince Regent and take the throne…I just think there’s WAY too much that needs to happen first.
And on top of that, the show is going to be at minimum 4 seasons long. Rhaenyra only holds the throne for six months. If she claims the throne in season 2, then the next two seasons are going to get dragged out, and less happens after the Fall than before it.
Unless they condense the story to Hell (making it WORSE than season 8 of GOT), I don’t see how it’s possible for the Fall to happen next season.
And there are more practical reasons too:
  1. There were no set leaks for anything that could be remotely construed as the Fall in Spain.
  2. Matt Smith was not in Spain.
  3. Emma was, but they might have been there for emotional support/to trick people. Emma and Olivia are close friends, after all. There’s no evidence she filmed a scene there.
So my theory is that Rook’s Rest will be episode 7, and then Meleys head will get carted around in episode 8, along with Aemond being crowned.

2023.06.09 15:34 megamindwriter Septon Barth's claim on the origin of Targaryen dragons, is the truth, when you look at the narrative (Spoilers Extended)

In TWOIAF, we found out that Septon Barth wrote a book on how Valyria acquired it's dragons
In Septon Barth’s Dragons, Wyrms, and Wyverns , he speculated that the bloodmages of Valyria used wyvern stock to create dragons. Though the bloodmages were alleged to have experimented mightily with their unnatural arts, this claim is considered far-fetched by most maesters, among them Maester Vanyon’s Against the Unnatural contains certain proofs of dragons having existed in Westeros even in the earliest of days, before Valyria rose to be a power.
The World of Ice & Fire, Beyond the Free Cities: Sothoryos.
In his book, Barth makes the bold claim that Old Valyria made their dragons from bloodmagic. I do believe his claim to be the truth. Why?

Most of what Septon Barth claims, turns out to be the truth.

Septon Barth made another bold claim that the Children of the Forest taught the men of the Night's Watch how to speak through ravens, that using ravens to as a means to transport letters is a degraded form.
This claim turns out to be the truth, despite the Maesters disagreeing with this notion.
"Do all the birds have singers in them?" "All," Lord Brynden said. "It was the singers who taught the First Men to send messages by raven … but in those days, the birds would speak the words. The trees remember, but men forget, and so now they write the messages on parchment and tie them round the feet of birds who have never shared their skin." A Dance with Dragons- Bran III
He also claims that the seasons are a result of the higher mysteries and magic rather than natural causes, a notion that is again scoffed at by the Citadel. A notion that our author GRRM has confirmed to be the truth.
It’s not another planet. It’s Earth. But it’s not our Earth. If you wanted to do a science fiction approach, you could call it an alternate world, but that sounds too science fictional. Tolkien really pioneered that with Middle Earth. He put in some vague things about tying it to our past, but that doesn’t really hold up. I have people constantly writing me with science fiction theories about the seasons — “It’s a double star system with a black dwarf and that would explain–” It’s fantasy, man, it’s magic.
By looking at those two examples, it's reasonable then to establish Barth as a reliable source of information.

Blood magic seems to be capable to do what Barth claims.

According to TWOIAF, blood magic is capable of breeding two distinct creatures to create an entirely different one.
In the dungeons of Gogossos, torturers devised new torments. In the flesh pits, blood sorcery of the darkest sort was practiced, as beasts were mated to slave women to bring forth twisted half-human children.
Whatever Aerea encountered during her flight to Old Valyria seems to be a result of blood magic.
“The things…Mother have mercy, I do not know how to speak of them… they were…worms with faces…snakes with hands…twisting, slimy, unspeakable things that seemed to writhe and pulse and squirm as they came bursting from her flesh. Some were no bigger than my little finger, but one at least was as long as my arm…oh, Warrior protect me, the sounds they made…
Fire & Blood, Jaehaerys & Alysanne, Their Triumphs and Tragedies.

Dragons do resemble wyverns and firewyrms

After the Battle of Rook's Rest, Sunfyre is too injured to take flight and instead remained at the Rook's Rest. During this time, it's likened to wyrm by those that witness it crawling throughout the place.
The king’s dragon, Sunfyre, too huge and heavy to be moved, and unable to fly with his injured wing, remained in the fields beyond Rook’s Rest, crawling through the ashes like some great golden wyrm.
Fire & Blood, the Dying of the Dragons, the Red Dragon and the Gold.
When Daenerys takes Quentyn to see her chained dragons, she wonders whether her dragons can dig tunnels similar to firewyrms. They could, to a certain degree.
He's made himself a cave, the prince realized. A burrow in the brick. The foundations of the Great Pyramid of Meereen were massive and thick to support the weight of the huge structure overhead; even the interior walls were three times thicker than any castle's curtain walls. But Viserion had dug himself a hole in them with flame and claw, a hole big enough to sleep in.
A Dance with Dragons - The Dragontamer
The strongest evidence of all, we find in Fire & Blood. Laena Targaryen, the daughter of Baela and Alyn, has an egg that hatches a creature that is for all intents and purposes, a wyrm.
“Her parents' pride and pleasure quickly turned to ash, however; the dragon that wriggled from the egg was a monstrosity, a wingless wyrm, maggot-white and blind. Within moments of hatching, the creature turned upon the babe in her cradle and tore a bloody chunk from her arm. As Laena shrieked, Lord Oakenfist ripped the "dragon" off her, flung it to the floor, and hacked it to pieces.” Fire & Blood

When you look at all these points, the most logical conclusion one can come to, is that yes. Targaryen dragons, or dragons from Old Valyria are a result of sorcerery and magic done by the Valyrians.

2023.06.09 15:21 Clear-Assignment8240 Severe allergy sufferer here. How does pollen get inside my apartment if the windows have been taped shut for 2 months?

I have severe allergies called MCAS.
I’m on a zillion antihistamines.
Everyone tells me the hvac system pulls air from the inside and recirculates it.
It’s just a studio apartment and I feel like I’m outside.
It’s definitely pollen making me feel this way because I have had these allergies for years.
I have to wear an n95 mask 24/7.
Please how do I keep it out?!
